Prot Evil is such a clutch spell. I can't wait for level 3 spells for Heroism and Prot evil - 10 minute / level buffs are so nice.

So even after about 400 games of PFS judged, there is always some new ruling within every game. This game it is whether two castings of infernal healing on the same creature stack (thus granting fast healing 2). I can't seem to find a RAW reason it wouldn't.
It grants fast healing 1 which says it acts as natural healing (over multiple rounds obviously).
One of the more powerful arguments for it would be the continuous damage argument. If a person under the effects of an acid arrow fell into an acid pit you would stack those damages, no?
Anyone have anything to add?

![]() |

Putting on my GM hat, I've always ruled it as no, on the stacking principal although some people have other thoughts to it. As you say, RAW is somewhat silent.
This Thread discussing the matter pretty much shares both sides of the divide but I think is stronger towards my point of view.
But it should do without saying, since it's RAW unclear, I'll respect your ruling on the matter.

PC hat coming on, I'm moving to midland tx in two weeks! So I'll be very close to Fort worth (relatively speaking), so perhaps I'll come join one of your live games Erich!

![]() |

Ah, Erich is from Fort Worth? I currently live in Houston - send me a message if you're ever headed down here for a convention or whatnot, odds are good I'll be headed there too.

![]() |

My son lives in Dallas and works in Fort Worth...do they have many cons in the area? Might have to schedule a visit that coincides with a convention some time...

![]() |

I'd have no problem with a different ruling on the Infernal healing matter in a game, it is rather uncertain.
As to all the Texas connections, that's really cool, although only in Texas would Midland and DFW be considered "close" (they'd likely be in different countries in Europe..) Also, as a matter of fact, I plan to be in Houston this weekend for OwlCon. I'm running two games (#7-11: Ancient's Anguish and #9-23: The Ghol-Gan Heresy) and playing in #10-11: The Hao Jin Heirophant.
DFW does have some conventions: AnimeFest, ReaperCon, Lone Star Game Expo, and FenCon come to mind -- plus we do have our weekly games in Keller and Plano. We use "Pathfinder DFW" on Warhorn to organize.

![]() |

Ha! I'll actually be at Owlcon Friday and Saturday. I was actually signed up to play Ghol Ghan Heresy until I realized that is the same time as another event I really wanted to play in (and, also that Kramac will still be involved in this and unable to play in events at owlcon). That actually reminds me, I need to go drop him from his tables and sign up for lower level ones instead...

![]() |

Sorry to hijack this thread GM, but it seems like the best place to talk about this for the moment, but if you're not OK with it let me know and perhaps I'll set up a discord chat for it.
Question:when is the next DFW con? From halfway across the world and never attending a con ever, I'm stoked to join one these days. In addition, it would be really cool to sit on the table with some of these fine folk! And it seems that DFW is a middle ground for that.

A-Kon is in June
AnimeFest and ReaperCon are in August
Lone Star Game Expo is in Sept
I know Austin has a fairly active PFS group too.

Sweet

![]() |

I might plan to go for all the cons! But one that I think looks really promising is Lone Star Expo... Any chance I could interest Flyn and Kramac to consider joining me?

![]() |

GM, scratch my last question in the Gameplay thread...I overlooked where you posted that all Seeker Aid tokens had already been used...
Hey Batpony, when is the Lone Star Expo?

![]() |

Well folks, it looks like we are nearing the end of the scenario later today. No time to start up a new encounter -- we have been told.
Make sure you have correct information in your character listing at the start of the Discussion forum and feel free to reroll your dayjob if you still have that available. If you have any other questions regarding factions missions, etc. please let me know.
Also, please send me a PM with your email (if you haven't already) and I will try to get out the chronicles for this later tonight.

One thing for my chronicle - I'd like to do some retraining. I don't think there is a limit on the amount of retraining you do between modules, assuming all costs are payed (If there is and I missed it, I'm just going to do the first one on the list).
The retraining I would like to do is:
Greater Trip to Improved Critical (Costing 500 GP and 5 PP)
Improved Trip to Planar Focus (Costing 500 GP and 5pp)

Well, thank you for running Erich. It was well done.
I enjoyed playing with all of you.

![]() |

Yes, kudos GM, and thanks for running this, it was fun. I enjoyed playing with everyone, we made a good team...

![]() |

Thanks for running GM!
GM, would you say that the peasants in act one and/or the crusaders in the finale count as "captives, hostages or slaves" for the purposes of the Liberty's Edge faction card goals? (The wording of the goal is 'liberate one or more captives, hostages or slaves during an adventure').
day job, survival (hunting lodge): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32

![]() |

Are you giving up on the Trip feats, Kramac? Too many flying or swimming enemies at higher tier?
The replacement feats are both good.
I've decided to send Kiboko on Refuge of Time for Outpost 2. Looks like a decent enough party for it.

![]() |

Flyn's fixing to hit 9th level and will get a couple new feats...especially considering all the DR (and one or two with double DR) creatures seen in the last few scenarios, Clustered Shot is a must...will also take Improved Precise Shot...

![]() |

Trip starts to fall off pretty hard above 10, and is mostly useless by 12. I was planning on just picking up improved crit this level now that I have the Bab for it, then I discovered planar focus and a teamwork feat called blood for the empire that are very strong, so I decided to go ahead and swap out of trip now.
I'm also going to switch out Jino for a Yobilis Heron. With that and planar focus, I will have a swim, fly, and burrow speed easily accessible.

Thanks alot for running Erich! It was a blast! Happy it finished up early, now I can play Kramac at Owlcon tomorrow. I'll see you there.
That seems like it was a really good place to end it for us - just defeated the big bad vrock - feels like a more epic not to go out on than just slaughtering a few more babaus.

![]() |

@Kiboko I think the citizens were just escaping to a safe place, not really any of those categories. Crusaders were just injured on the battlefield. Sorry. At least that is a pretty easy faction goal to get in PFS.
I am assuming everyone is on Normal progression, not Slow. Although Kramac is out of tier (still need an email address from you too).

![]() |

Thanks everyone, it was a blast playing with you all.
Thank you GM for running the scenario.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Game is reported and the chronicles were sent to your email. Boons will be sent by the overseer GMs. Thanks everyone for keeping up the torrid pace. We actually tied for the most successes in Act II (Aqueous Orb on a magma beast certainly didn't hurt).
It was great fun on this side of the screen. Hope to adventure with you all again. Cheers!

![]() |

Echoinh sentiments, thanks GM for running a great game! And players for being such great players!
Flyn i'll get back to you when u find out more details about lone star expo!

Received my chronicle and it looks good!
Thank you all for a great experience!
