I mean, I am, but that isn't necessarily a reason for me to take over the game. I'm also currently GMing 5 play-by-posts, and I'm not sure if I can handle another.

Okay, so that's 8 people still around.

I'll resolve the current combat round and move us onto the next one. It's clear the GM has modified the base stat block for the Warden, so I'll have to guess at what he's done. Hopefully the GM gets back soon.

Gonna go ahead and officially drop out of this one. Sincere thanks for taking the time to try and take over as GM for this game Phntm88 and under other circumstances I'd probably stick around and see what you do with it, but a combination of factors (higher workload recently, overload on games, mild creative burnout) has made me want to cut back on my number of PbP games so I can focus on some I've been in for years already, and this seems like the perfect candidate to jump out of under the circumstances, especially since I've already played Way of the Wicked.

Even if I'll probably never get another chance to play a Hound of the Wild Hunt. =(

The Melee Blaster feat allows you to avoid provoking when you use it in melee.


You do not need a feat to use destructive blast in melee as a melee touch (it is directly in the ability's description that you can do either), though your point about the casting itself provoking without casting defensively is, in retrospect, true.

First line of description,

That feat must therefore refer to magic casting provoke which can otherwise be avoided with a concentration check. (In the limited cases of casting a destructive blast, obviously)

No, you don't need a feat: Melee Blaster just makes it so that you don't provoke when you do.


My point is that there two ways to provoke here, casting and action. I had forgotten about the casting, but the action itself doesn't provoke, and a concentration check negates the casting provoke, thus with a concentration check, a melee blast would not provoke, though a ranged one would.

Therefore, the only provoke that is there for the feat to address is the casting, thus meaning with the feat you do not need a concentration check.

I believe that ownership of a thread can be changed, I believe something similar occurred in my giantslayer game.


Yes, I can take ownership of the campaign. I just noticed it had become inactive, and wasn't showing up in my campaigns.

Good news for you guys is that one of my Way of the Wicked games just folded, so I have time to pick this game up. I'll see about getting the game transferred to my ownership.
