Round 2 Action
The Fox takes a flying kick at the dragon to ensure he is in a flanking position with Johann and follows it with three jabbing punches!
Shifting a little to the side to help create a flank with his friend the Bear, Ogon Fox rapidly unleashes a sequence known in Wing Chun kung fu as a chain punch, but only the second punch has enough force to hurt this mighty dragon. It grunts in pain. OOF!!... Ich verstehe, Ihr Fuchs hat das Fünf-Tiere-Boxen in China studiert. Beeindruckend.
Just reread your post and realized I'd accidentally described your flurry incorrectly, Fox. My apologies! It should have alluded to flying kick followed by three punches instead of the Wing Chun chain punch.

The green old wyrm seems a little alarmed by the Sprite lord's apparent wrath.

Alphonse Veritas, Oathkeeper |

"Do you believe yourself in such little danger that you can afford to take your attention off of us?" Alphonse asks as he charges forward to disabuse the dragon of that notion.
Charge!: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (10) + 25 = 35 Add an extra +2 to this if Ihrin is in a position to flank the beast.
Damage: 2d4 + 21 + 13 ⇒ (2, 4) + 21 + 13 = 40
If the attack connects, Alphonse exerts himself, causing a burst of light to flash from the contact.
I cast Litany of Righteousness as a Swift if the attack succeeds; he needs to make a Will save or suffer double the damage above.

Shifting under the haughty dragon, into its shadow, places its head and serpentine neck between the paladin and the ronin Ihrin above on her flying carpet, a perfect flank...
Foereaper carves a bloody ravine in the yellow underbelly of the green dragon! It roars in agony!
GGGRRRAAAAAAARRRGGHHHH!!!! Its agonized roar shakes the stalactites of the cavern!
Will save 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28 to avoid double damage...

Grünerraver the Green Wyrm |

Oh, es scheint, als hätte ich deine Freunde unterschätzt, McGibel. Lass uns verhandeln! rumbles the green wyrm, attempting something like a toothy, apologetic smile that just looks like gaping in mortal terror to the Mighty Ones...

"WHAT? NO! I WANT IT DEAD, LORD P. YOU SAW THE DESTRUCTION THAT IT HAS CAUSED TO MY HOME!"

ROUND 2:
Hearing Johann's determination to slay it, and seeing similar conviction in the stern countenance of Sir Alphonse, the green wyrm makes a desperate attempt to retreat, but it is surrounded by the Mighty Ones, and has no clear route to escape their wrath. Nonetheless, it turns to flee...
Provokes AoOs from Alphonse, Johann, Ogon Fox, and Ihrin as it tries to retreat back down the tunnel...

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Lord P flies above the Dragon, then moving his hands in an intricate pattern opens a doorway to the lands of the dreaming behind the Dragon. It grows to fit the dragon's size. As he does he says.

"Here is a door to the realm of the Dreaming, If you can make it through before they slay you then you will find a place there Grünerraver the Green. This I Offer as payment for my life"
To the others he says.
"Did not the little Ribbie say, mercy to even thine enemies"

Will Grünerraver make it through the portal before Alphonse or Johann can kill him with an AoO? He has like 30 hp left... A good attack or two could end him...

Desperate now to escape death, Grünerraver replies eagerly to Lord Perpireen's offer:
Ja! Was ist mit der Rede deines Jesus von Barmherzigkeit? Ich werde friedlich in McGibels Märchenland gehen! Du kannst meinen Schatz behalten ... Nun, wie wäre es mit der Hälfte meines Schatzes?

Can Alphonse stop him from jumping through the hoop?

Alphonse Veritas, Oathkeeper |

To the others he says.
"Did not the little Ribbie say, mercy to even thine enemies"
"There are many facets of the Lord's teachings, McGibel." Alphonse says, almost sadly.
"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord."
"For many, this is true. But I am the hand of Vengeance; an extension of God's will. The instrument by which His vengeance is repaid. And by His own words: Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and their doom comes swiftly."
At the last, he turns to the fleeing dragon, and prepares to deliver the world from its evil.
AoO: 1d20 + 23 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 23 + 2 = 29
Going to spend my Hero point to reroll this.
AoO: 1d20 + 23 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 23 + 2 = 44
That's more like the dramatic slash I was going for.
Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 23 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 23 + 2 = 33
Don't think that confirms.
Damage: 2d4 + 21 + 13 ⇒ (2, 4) + 21 + 13 = 40

Grünerraver the Green Wyrm |

Sir Alphonse brings Foereaper's gleaming, buzzing blade down in a radiant arc, plunging it into the dragon's head as it tries to leap through Lord Perpireen's magic portal! A geyser of dragon blood showers the Mighty Ones as Grünerraver collapses with a dying roar!
RRROOOAAAAARRR!!!
The Mighty Ones are once more victorious! Well done!

Michael Johnson 66 |

Having slain the ancient green wyrm Grünerraver, the Mighty Ones continue exploration of its cavernous lair...
Descending deeper into the lair, they pass through a massive pair of opened half-moon-shaped gates, one of which bears a trio of glowing colored crystals: green, yellow, and red. Beyond lies a long tunnel with faint sunlight at the far end, some 200 feet away, where a secret, unknown cave exit opens onto the forested mountainside some hundred feet below and some fifty feet west of the skull-shaped main entrance to the lair...
They come upon a second pair of massive half-moon-shaped gates, one also bearing glowing red, yellow, and green crystals, also wide open. Beyond lies the lair of Grünerraver, and his glittering hoard of ill-gotten treasure! Besides this impressive mound of treasure, there is a stone podium plated with silver, with a single keyhole on top of it...
The keyhole in the silver podium is the second lock that must be unlocked to open the demiplane where Nero's phylactery lies hidden...

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Lord P hovers overhead.
"Three times I offered him the way and only on the last did he seek it. I claim his body, it will make fine boots for my lege."
He waves a spell and the great green beast head and all sail throw the gate to the fey lands. He flies after it and with a wink he, the dragon, and window are gone.

![]() |

Johann seethes after Lord P leaves. "Why do we have that trickster with us? He does nothing but offer evil creatures safe passage back to his world! I would ask you all, why let him travel with us? He is going to do it again when we face the next murderer, and the next murderer after that!"

Mwikali |

"he offers them a home to roam, far from the lands of man" She says looking at Johann."If only we were as lucky"

![]() |

"They are better off dead. When he comes back, I am going to tell him in no uncertain terms that the Wormwood is off limits. That dragon must die for his crimes, and if the little bugger tries to offer the wyrm a way out, I will see to his removal from this group personally."
Johann looks about at his companions fiercely.

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

A tiny window opens in front of them and Lord P pops back into the space. He can tell there is an air.
"Ho now, what is wrong my lelados?"

![]() |

Johann switches over to Bat Johann for the proper affect.
"I AM SICK OF YOU OFFERING CLEMENCY TO EVIL BEINGS THAT DESERVE TO DIE! SCREEE!"
"That green dragon has terrorized my home for years and you were going to just... just... just... LET IT GO?"

![]() |

"I don't know him! I thought he was your friend?"

Alphonse Veritas, Oathkeeper |

"He was already here by the time I joined up with you all, as I recall. I've never questioned his presence since I assumed he'd been traveling with you all this time." Alphonse says, concern deepening.

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Lands in a suitable place and looks at the party.
"I fine gents and ladies have been here from the start. With those before you. And I will be with those after you. Many know my name and many know my aim. The new Pope for one, kings and princes let me be, for they know me, Lord Perireen McGibel, ambassador of the fey."
He Bows.
"Know this then, The age of the one gods is coming, and those like myself are passing from this world. Those who are good go on their own, happy to enter good dreams and myths of mortals. As stories, and tails told by the old to the young. But some, a few mostly evil ones want to stay. They seek to drive back the new age and be as they have always been. But they are needed, needed in the beyond "
He takes off again.
"You see If mortals have nothing to represent evil in tails and dreams then what is there to fear? What child will do as its mother says? If the great evil green dragon she would have threatened them with is dead. So she beats that child in place of a story of the evil that would come and get them should they do wrong again. A story that would make that child think twice the next time it strays from the path."
He seems to sink back into the darkness, and his voice seems to come out of the gloom.
"For who would fear the pricking of their thumbs, if nothing wicked this way comes"
His laughter rings around the space but he is gone.

![]() |

Johann sputters a bit but he doesn't know what to say about that.

Michael Johnson 66 |

If the party arrives in Freiburg and spends a dragon's hoard worth of treasure on powerful magic items, rumors of Grünerraver's demise will begin to spread, even more so if the party boasts of slaying the dragon. Are you trying to keep it secret, or letting it be known that Grünerraver is dead?

Nicolas Flamel, alchemist |

In his study in his home in Paris, Nicholas Flamel, world-famous alchemist and archmage, and secret member of the Order of the Hidden Heptarch, becomes magically aware that Grünerraver has been slain when a special contingency is triggered.
Mon Dieu! Grünerraver is dead! Hallelujah! I must go at once to his lair and determine his cause and time of death for my chronicle...
The archmage alchemist teleports to the mountain path before the skull-shaped cave entrance to Grünerraver's lair.

Nicolas Flamel, alchemist |

Upon encountering the Mighty Ones, and realizing they were Grünerraver's cause of death, Flamel is fulsome glad at their victory, and praises God and His champions for their heroic deed.
Honor, glory, and praise to Our Lord! And to ye Mighty Ones that have slain the vile wyrm Grünerraver! May God bless thee forevermore!

![]() |

Johann is grateful to Flamel for speeding them on their way. "Your assistance is most timely. We must hurry to get to the third keyhole before the antichrist is reborn...But there is always time to dump off some dragon treasure."
I will level up with weekend and split up the dragon money, unless someone else wants to do it. Lord P, are you going to take anything or is it a five person split?

The elderly archmage-alchemist seems almost ecstatic to hear that the Mighty Ones have destroyed Nero Antichrist's material form, and is eager to aid them in finding and destroying the arch villain's phylactery.
Merciful Heavens! You are surely the saviors of Christendom, foretold in prophetic divinations by no less than five confirmed reliable oracles... Mon Dieu! What a propitious day this is! Anywhere you wish to go, Mighty Ones, I, Nicolas Flamel, will happily teleport you. Any magical item you wish to procure, I shall facilitate your purchase, and if no such thing exists in the current markets of Paris, Nuremberg or Rome, I, Nicolas Flamel, shall craft it for thee using my precious artifact, the philosopher's stone, which can transmute any form of matter into anything else one can imagine!

I am leveled up now. Also, I have so much stuff already that I can't think of anything I need or want. I am happy to save all the gold and build myself a castle someday.
Johann thanks Flamel profusely. "It is your teleportations spells that we are most happy to receive from you, Sir. The antichrist will surely find a new body if we do not hurry to the location of the next key. As for me, I am already in possession of more material goods than I ever thought possible. I am ready to put an end to the Beast of our age, now and forever."

Flamel nods and smiles in response to Johann.
Most excellent, sir! I will teleport you all to the foul Beast's lair at Mount Vesuvius in Italy, whenever you are ready. Looking to the others, he adds: What of the rest of you? Is there anything you may require before facing Wormwood?
