At the northeastern edge of the roughly 60-foot-diameter isle surrounded by the moat of lava stands a 9-foot-high obsidian obelisk with a golden plate mounted upon its southwestern face (facing toward the middle of the isle). Closer inspection shows a keyhole surrounded by graven sigils in the golden plate affixed to the gleaming black obelisk: the final lock to unlock and open the portal to Nero's Phylacterium in the Roman Coliseum!

Kiku GM bot |

Perched inconspicuously upon the southern rim of the caldera of the ancient volcano, nervous and vigilant, Kiku shares lookout duty with Lord Perpireen.
Whispering to the banished Lord of Sprites: If we get incinerated, it's been a pleasure working with you, Your Lordship...
Cocking his head and squawking in sudden fear, he croaks: LOOK!! AT TEN O'CLOCK!! IS THAT... Oh, no, wait... Never mind, Lord Perpireen... It's just a bat, nothing to fear... *whew!*

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

"And you Kiku"
Lord P flyes out of the way fast as the bat comes at him.
Fly 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (13) + 30 = 43
"Hay watch where you're going bat!"

Michael Johnson 66 |

Also, I know Lord Perpireen, Lady Ihrin and Sir Alphonse can fly, and Johann can turn into a bat to fly, but is currently a snake... Does everyone have potions of fly they can drink, or can Mwikali help everyone fly in case the dragon decides not to just land on the island? The ceiling of the lair is 60 feet high, and the cave is 100 feet in diameter, so he can still fly around a bit...

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Lord P zipps along in the evening air.
Perception 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23 nope seeing nothing but bats
Stealth 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (9) + 33 = 42 but is hidden

Wormwood of Mercury |

10:15 PM:
Although Lord Perpireen is distracted by the creepy bats chasing bugs around near the caldera of Mount Vesuvius, he and Kiku still spot Wormwood winging his way in their direction! They spot the gargantuan red dragon at a distance of about 1,000 feet, and closing at a speed that should bring him to the top of the volcano in about 12 seconds!
By now, Ogon Fox could have constructed enough obstacles on the walls and ceiling of the lair cave (flying buttresses, low-hanging rafters, etc.) with his organetto of building to force the gargantuan dragon to land and fight on the cavern floor. As Lord Perpireen and Kiku dart back down into the lair and alert the others, they have about 6 rounds to prepare before Wormwood arrives and combat starts...

The Ogon Fox |

Fantasia in G Major, Bach Works Catalog 572
As the Ogon Fox begins to play, there is a whirlwind of activity. Stone pieces begin leaving the floors and walls of the cavern as if quarried by unseen workers, and moving all about, being assembled into new shapes forming a much lower ceiling. The speed at which this occurs is awesome, and the Fox moves and sways as he plays the organetto expressively.

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Lord P stops charging after bats and sees the great red worm flying up to the top of the Volcano.
"Begora this is bad news
And off he shoots to tell the others

That's awesome, and worth 1 hero point for Ogon Fox.

Wormwood of Mercury |

The gargantuan red dragon that lands among the Mighty Ones gives off an unbearable heat, dealing 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8 points of fire damage to Lord Perpireen as he lands on the wyrm's red-hot head, and to each of the other Mighty Ones, all of which are within 10 feet of the blistering-hot wyrm.
EDIT: Your communal fire resistance soaks this, so no damage from fire protection.

Alphonse takes the searing heat directly, but remains standing.
Edit: I don't think I would be missed by such a large cone, but just relaized I wasn't listed as one of the targets. Other question, can I make a minor retcon to my previous turn and use my Swift to Smite, I forgot to do that.

Go ahead and smite, plus take the fire damage lol

The Ogon Fox |

Reflex DC 30 vs fire breath: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 15 + 2 = 25
The Fox is not quick enough, and the terrible flames cover him--but the ward from Flamel's potion holds true the entire gout!
Like Johann, 2 points left in my protection from fire.
The Fox drinks his potion of haste (provoking an attack of opportunity, assuming I'm within Wormwood's natural reach) and then speedily assumes a new position to flank the terrible dragon (probably provoking another AoO for that movement--my AC against that will be 34 instead of 30 because of Mobility).
With haste, my speed is 90 feet, so I should be able to get to whatever spot would be hardest for others to reach to set up flanking. MJ, maybe you can let us know who among us should get flanking bonuses from positioning now?
