RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Brainiac is out till Monday but even if GDM doesn't get it then the shadow Glitterdust should make her obvious enough! :)

Yes you can see her.

Female Human Black Bloodedrager 4/Paladin 16| 140/195 HP| AC: 37/35 (T19/17, F30/28)| F: +29, R: +17, W: +25| Init: 1| Perc: +12| CMB: +24, CMD: 36| Lay on Hands 16/16, Smite Evil: 5/6, Bloodrage 13/14| Speed: 30 ft| Active conditions: RAGE! (+40 HP).

Would the bonus from Mind Blank help me in the maze?

Unfortunately, maze is not a mind-affecting spell, so the mind blank bonus will not apply.

Belimarius has (deep breath!): greater extend metamagic rod, ring of telekinesis, rod of negation, wand of stoneskin (CL 15th, 10 charges); Belimarius’s Invidious Halberd, belt of physical perfection +4, dusty rose prism ioun stone, headband of vast intelligence +6, lavender and green ellipsoid ioun stone (can absorb up to 34 more spell levels), ring of protection +4, robes of Xin-Edasseril, runewell amulet, Sihedron Tome, diamonds for casting wish (worth 25,000 gp), powdered gemstones for casting temporal stasis (worth 10,000 gp), ruby dust for casting forcecage (worth 4,500 gp), true seeing ointment (worth 750 gp).

Shen is taking the halberd and the robes (sorry, but not sorry ;))

What things does everyone else want?

Nime: Ring of Tele?, rod of negation?, extend rod?
Rud/Cal: Belt of perfection, ioun stone, ointment
Theo: Stoneskin wand, dusty rose?

The ring of prot is good on everyone... None of us will use the Tome, and the amulet is going to be destroyed when we break the runewell so that's not likely to be helpful.

I'd like the diamonds for wish, unless Theo wants them? Anyone likely to cast Temp Stasis or forcecage?

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

Shen can keep the diamonds, I don't think Theo knows or plans to learn any spells that would require them (unless I'm overlooking something obvious). The wand and ioun stone would be welcome, though. Do I need stoneskin's material components for a wand? Sorry; been that long since I've used wands in PF1e that were of spells with expensive material components that I can't remember.

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Not that I know of. If you have the wand you just activate it and the spell works.

Right, wands have the price of the components baked into them.

Sure, Nime will take the ring and the rods.

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

I'm really sorry about derailing Shen's plans. To be clear - since Shen is a psychic and all - Rudrik is not worried about her, he's worried about what it might do to him to become part of a New Order bringing Runelords back into the world, even with the best of intentions.

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

No wprries Rudrik. It made a lot of sense for Shen since he uses a bastard sword already and Calendula already has loyalty to her god which is not to be overwritten. Rudrik havubg moral qualms is absolutely appropriate, and dealing with them is probably a goodtest for how Shen will act as Runelord.

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

Well let's maybe talk it out more then! Shen's come all this way, it's not like she must leap and act instantly. We can figure out what works best. :)

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

I can be Runelord of Patience too! ;)

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

Now you're talkin'. Who says there have to be seven different Runelords? You could strive to embody all of the Virtues and then get summoned by Lord British!

Female Human Black Bloodedrager 4/Paladin 16| 140/195 HP| AC: 37/35 (T19/17, F30/28)| F: +29, R: +17, W: +25| Init: 1| Perc: +12| CMB: +24, CMD: 36| Lay on Hands 16/16, Smite Evil: 5/6, Bloodrage 13/14| Speed: 30 ft| Active conditions: RAGE! (+40 HP).

Sorry about Calendula like being a Debbie Downer, I just couldn't see her being chill with the decision past "Shenuska is a good person and I trust her" so that's where she is with it

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Edited to rwspond to Calendula too. Sorry i type slowly on my phone.

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

Side note pertinent to discussion: The Runelords lacked a focus on divination magic, which meant not only that they couldn't really foretell the end of Thassilon in any detail (not to mention the breaking of prophecy anyway), but they had only the usual magical means to discern moral conundrums (i.e. detect evil was not a specialty for any of them, and unlikely to be the sort of thing that got any focus). With each Runelord focusing on advancing their power in their own specialty, the ability to foresee problems and figure out the best solutions to them kinda withered on the vine.

(This came up in a different Rise of the Runelords game I was in, where I played a wizard who started leaning heavily into divination specifically because it was a weak point for the Runelords.)

2E art for reference

Calendula and Rudrik are up!

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

I'm looking at the "Palace Miasmora" map on the Google slides link and I'm confused - it shows two Large-sized creatures? Is there one skeleton or two? Is it Large or Huge or Gargantuan or Colossal?

Sorry, that map is out of date. There is one skeleton of Gargantuan size! I'll update it now.

Female Human Black Bloodedrager 4/Paladin 16| 140/195 HP| AC: 37/35 (T19/17, F30/28)| F: +29, R: +17, W: +25| Init: 1| Perc: +12| CMB: +24, CMD: 36| Lay on Hands 16/16, Smite Evil: 5/6, Bloodrage 13/14| Speed: 30 ft| Active conditions: RAGE! (+40 HP).

These crits are juicy! Greater Weapon of the Chosen paying off, turning that fail into a success.

Sorry I still haven't updated my sheet. Been a hectic couple weeks and I been posting on my phone.

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Sadly Ieldana and Iron Shen aren't here for this. They're watching Belimarius for me...

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

That's probably wise. The former Runelord is really gonna have a hate-on for us when she's kicked back out into the world at large with nothing. Since she runs on envy, her envy of what we took from her is gonna fuel her attempts to claw back into power.

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Yeah, Shen doesn't trust her an inch. So the golem and the sorceress who chose us over a runelord already are the best people to do the guarding! :D

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

I’ll get my post up this afternoon after work (spent last night and some of this morning setting up my laptop after I finally got around to getting it fixed). If people are impatient, though, I was gonna cast clenched fist. And then probably curse as the spell resistance screws me over again.

Now I'm regretting having chosen Farrina as my Sihedron Hero since I'm now running her in Hell's Rebels (theoretically in the same time-line as this story).

I'll have to consider how to handle it. ;)

If anybody wants to retroactively change their Sihedron Heroes (since it has been 2 years since we started!), you may do so now. Time travel and all that.

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

So for the Sihedron heroes, they are unaware that they've been in stasis? They basically got timelocked the equivalent of... what, a year? A decade? ago, and now are suddenly popping back into motion, probably surprised at their surroundings?

The Sihedron Heroes were locked in stasis right when this campaign started, so about 5 months ago. They had confronted Alaznist when she used a powerful artifact to trap them in time within Crystilan. They have no idea of anything that has happened in the intervening time and are confused by their surroundings, yes.

One of the Heroes will explain more after introductions are out of the way. For now, you can just have the Heroes introduce themselves to you and vice versa.

Nah, not going to change her. We're playing with time, after all. :)

Sovereign Court

Retired - now known as Wandering Phoenix, one of the Mage Warriors.

I'm tweaking mine just so its an unused alias. Otherwise Adolina would be here too and that becomes very confusing indeed!

Female Aasimar Bard (Arcane Healer) 8 | 43/51 HP | AC 16 T 12 FF 14 | Fort +3 Ref +8 Will +7 | Initiative +2 | Perception +14, Sense Motive +13 | Bardic Performance 23/23 rounds | Channel Energy 2/2 | Bard Spells: 1st—6/6 2nd—3/5 3rd—3/3

This alias is already in an existing Shattered Star game but I can make a 16th-level stat block if needed!

Female Human Black Bloodedrager 4/Paladin 16| 140/195 HP| AC: 37/35 (T19/17, F30/28)| F: +29, R: +17, W: +25| Init: 1| Perc: +12| CMB: +24, CMD: 36| Lay on Hands 16/16, Smite Evil: 5/6, Bloodrage 13/14| Speed: 30 ft| Active conditions: RAGE! (+40 HP).

Active spells on Persephone include Reduce Person and Respectful Quiet; the Stealth score is based on an idea of 16 ranks, 3 class bonus, +8 DEX, 4 size bonus, 15 competence bonus from Greater Shadow Armor, 10 circumstance bonus from Respectful Quiet, 10 from skill focus and stealthy, 2 from a trait, 2 from an alternate racial bonus, +40 for being invisible and standing still.

Honestly it's a conservative guess and could probably be raised higher with little effort

Notably this was a much quicker and easier build than Sara's Diplomacy, but perhaps that's because the focus on Diplomacy was not initially planned

Skills: +1 each of: Acrobatics, Disable Device, Perception, Stealth; Appraise, Handle Animal

New class feature: Weapon training 3: No group chosen - heavy blades improves to +3 - new advanced weapon training: Warrior Spirit

Warrior Spirit (Su):
The fighter can forge a spiritual bond with a weapon that belongs to the associated weapon group, allowing him to unlock the weapon’s potential. Each day, he designates one such weapon and gains a number of points of spiritual energy equal to 1 + his weapon training bonus. While wielding this weapon, he can spend 1 point of spiritual energy to grant the weapon an enhancement bonus equal to his weapon training bonus. Enhancement bonuses gained by this advanced weapon training option stack with those of the weapon, to a maximum of +5. The fighter can also imbue the weapon with any one weapon special ability with an equivalent enhancement bonus less than or equal to his maximum bonus by reducing the granted enhancement bonus by the amount of the equivalent enhancement bonus. The item must have an enhancement bonus of at least +1 (from the item itself or from warrior spirit) to gain a weapon special ability. In either case, these bonuses last for 1 minute.

Weapon Specialist advanced training grants new bonus feat with all heavy blades: Greater Weapon Focus

Level 17 feat: Combat Reflexes

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

Also, I just realized that for the entire fight with the giant skeleton, I should've been using Weapon Versatility to do bludgeoning damage, but I'm a dumbass.

With Nime's new feat, she's really looking forward to whenever she can get a couple of days of downtime and drag Rudrik off to the elemental plane of air. :)

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

Unsanctioned Knowledge
Taking:
1 Shield of Faith
2 Aboleth's Lungs (Which she learned explicitly in preparation for this)
3 Jester's Jaunt? Dimensional Anchor? See Invisibility?
4 Dimension Door?

Would appreciate input on level 3 and 4 spell picks

New Spell Level 4

Also switching out a second level spell for Aquatic Cavalry. That and Aboleth's Lungs will help us immensely in the deep I figure

Smite Evil a fifth time a day

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

See Invis probably. If you're taking DDoor (good spell) then you don't need Jester's Jaunt (less good version of).

Note that the interior of the dungeon is flooded with water, too, so you are still underwater and can still ride your hippocampi if you prefer.

Female Human Black Bloodedrager 4/Paladin 16| 140/195 HP| AC: 37/35 (T19/17, F30/28)| F: +29, R: +17, W: +25| Init: 1| Perc: +12| CMB: +24, CMD: 36| Lay on Hands 16/16, Smite Evil: 5/6, Bloodrage 13/14| Speed: 30 ft| Active conditions: RAGE! (+40 HP).

Edited my post to reflect that.

Calendula and Nime are up.

Female Human Black Bloodedrager 4/Paladin 16| 140/195 HP| AC: 37/35 (T19/17, F30/28)| F: +29, R: +17, W: +25| Init: 1| Perc: +12| CMB: +24, CMD: 36| Lay on Hands 16/16, Smite Evil: 5/6, Bloodrage 13/14| Speed: 30 ft| Active conditions: RAGE! (+40 HP).

I don't know if I can cancel the aboleth's lung spell on individuals or only as a group but Shenuska may be drowning for a round or two without her lungs

Human Wizard (Mentalism) 12 | HP: 116 | AC: 28 | Fort: +19 Ref: +20 Will: +16 | Perception: +16 (+2 on Initiative) | Hero Point: 2/3

If that's the case, then I would assume that Nime could ease her discomfort with appropriate use of create water which she can do at will.

Rudrik, you can still attack, just with a 50% muss chance.

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

So I just realised after that fight - I never added that ioun stone I got from Belimarus to Theo's character sheet. Granted; +1 initiative isn't that big a deal to forget about, but still. Sorted it now.
