I realize it's not clear and that was kinda intentional, but no, Calendula is simply misremembering and conflating Shen's idle speculation here as being truth.
It was relevant again immediately after that post, first here and then again here.
Her belief in Shenuska's statement was a major influence in her decision to seek redemption, and I imagine that after first defeating Zutha and then Iomedae demanding she leave only for her quest to lead back to y'all's reunion she has entirely forgotten that the words were just guesses and to her it seems mythic and inevitable.
Calendula, feel free to say something or PM me if Nime's clinginess is a problem.

We need 40K more, this dungeon will probably do it and I'll put all of Shen's share in if I have to. :) It really depends how many of us are willing to chip in. 8K each won't make much of a dent if people don't mind.

Right. I went back and checked and the dragon was the last loot split we did so we are now up to date.
First question, how much are people willing to put into the golem? Before we went into the temple we were at 40k out of 80k. Nime talked about putting some funds in from the dragon but it would be good if we can decide that because then the crafting could be done during the time we're in the Temple itself.
Our final loot split each is each. This includes everything that we found except for the Shadow Stylus so Nime will need to put in 52.5k for the tome if she wants it. Shen will fund the rest of the golem if no-one else will but she could really use an INT upgrade as well if other people dont mind helping a bit.
We also found a stone golem manual... ;)
Shen will teleport everyone around for a few days so we can buy/sell/craft and she'll want to get the golem finished and free Ieldana before she gets to work on the ritual. So maybe a month off all in all?

Tempting as it is, Theo may hold off on contributing to the golem. I really need to do something about his AC and such if he's gonna be getting into more melee fights.
Assuming someone can do the crafting for him, I think, between this book's loot and the money he still had on him from our last loot split, he can afford to get both his bracers upgraded to +7 and the belt of physical perfection up to +6.
Getting the belt upgraded that far would take up basically his entire share of the latest split (it's 69k to get it up from a +2 to a +6) and it'd be 22,500gp to get the bracers upgraded (he still has 26k on him from the dragon fight).
Deducting for the tome, Nime now currently has 35,276.7 gp.
Shenuska is welcome to as much of that as she'd like for the golem. Just let me know how much.
As far as crafting goes, Nime can do Wonderous Items. However in the chapter opening post Brainiac made, it mentioned that we wouldn't be able to do any crafting.
Anybody not learning the ritual can do crafting during those nine days, and you can take as much additional downtime as you would like.
Rudrik will spare 8k from his share for Shen.
We don't have enough time to upgrade my sword (it would take 14 days), so it's time for a bunch of small armor class upgrades.

Can you believe Rudrik doesn't have a cloak of resistance at all yet? That seems like an oversight on my part. Buying a +3 one (9k).
Also might as well pick up a +6 belt of incredible dexterity. Won't help my AC (due to the Dex limit on full plate) but it will improve my attack and damage even more.
Sold my old cat burglar's boots since I'm wearing the winged boots that Nime made for me.
Overall, this improves my saves by +3 (+6 for Reflex saves), +3 to initiative, +3 to my attack and damage rolls, +3 to a bunch of my rogue skills, and +5 to my AC, pushing me up to AC 39!
Also buying a tiny surprise.
We have as much downtime as we want. It's going to take at least two weeks to finish the golem and that's likely before Shen gets started on learning the ritual, so do upgrade your sword Rudrik. We've got the time now, we may not have it in the future if we're heading somewhere time locked!
re. Golem: If Rudrik puts in 8 and Nime does 12 then Shen will fund the other 20 to finish the thing off. :) I can cover Rudrik as well if you need the money for your sword. Also, go talk to Nime people, she can make your cloaks for half price.
Speaking of which, Nime could you upgrade the Seven Veils to +6 Int for me? It'll cost 15k in crafting.

Anyway, if Nime has the time and inclincation to cut the cost in half for my cloak and belt, that will save me 27k gp.
If we do have enough time, it would cost me 32k to go from a +3 sword to a +5 sword.
It'll take me 9 days to learn the rotual and i cant do anything else durij gthat time, but tjats the only condition. Shen has lots to do in the downtime.

Yes, no limit to the downtime. This is probably the last big stretch you’ll get for a long time so make the best use of it!
Nope, I’m still fine with Shen keeping the money. It was 8k.
So after putting 12k into the golem fund, Nime is going to sell off a couple of small items that she has and with her remaining funds she's buying a ring of resistance +4, just so she doesn't have to wear a cloak any more. :)
She'll spend her time crafting any wonderous items that anyone else needs. As well as getting to know Ieldana and furthering her education in the things Nime feels that she lacks. ;)

Hang on, I said I wasn't gonna contribute to the golem. If we were getting 69,195.4gp each, Theo had 26k-ish on him (can't remember now) and it cost a total of 91,500 to get his bracers and belt upgraded. He's only got 4345.1gp left after that.
I can pay Theo's share if he can't. I'm still tryna figure out what I'm spending my money on; probably new armor, but I will have enough to pitch in for the golem. I'll have the post with Callie's mother up in a day or two.
Theo, you'd contributed these golem funds from loot shares a while back. When I said we were at 40K that was 20 from me, 16 from you and 4 from Nime, this came out of our various loots in book 3. I've been chalking it off as we went along and assumed you had done likewise...
