I'm not sure about the rules about somatic casting for clerics. He's holding a shield in his other hand; he won't put away his scimitar unless he has to.

The new errata allows clerics and paladins to use somatic components while holding a shield.

Godfrey's spell reveals the undead still in the same space where it disappeared.

The creature lifts up a storm of objects and hurls them at all around it. It misses most of you, but a large divan slams into Esrian.

I swear, it is far too easy for enemies to hit us compared to how hard it is to hit them. Also, it's weird how stationary casters are encouraged to be. I can't so much as wiggle my toe without cutting into my action economy.

Esrian staggers as the furniture slams into her unexpectedly, but does double duty, healing herself and her allies as she channels energy to destroy the ghost.

"I'm going to repair the barricade in the dining room," Godfrey told the others. He went into the formal dining area, and started moving the table and chairs back into position against the now-shattered picture window.

Playtest Character - Playtest Ended

William moves into the Salon to repair the barricade there.


Doctor Oscilar and his assistants are all still safely barricaded in the basement. Lucvi moves to assist William while Esrian and Godfrey work together and Elis and Nibiru move upstairs to start barricading the doors there.

After only five minutes, you can hear slamming on the barricades in both the salon and the dining room again. A few seconds later, though, three spectral shades come screaming through the upstairs doors, phasing through the barricades and reaching for Elis and Nibiru!

"Regroup!", Godfrey cried, and rushed back into the entrance hall, preparing to repel the new invaders.

Stride, Stride, Stride. I subtracted 10 ft ove movement to account for potential difficult terrain where the dining table used to be. 20 ft movement here isn't great. :(

The shadow is barely fazed by Elis's spell. It flies forward and sticks its hand through the elf, wounding her and tugging at her shadow. The second shadow flies up to Nibiru and critically hits her, completely tearing the gnome's shadow free from her body! The stolen shadow takes a few moments to get its bearings before turning on Nibiru with malevolent intent. The final shadow swoops down over the railing, rushing to get into melee with Esrian.

You're physically weakened. Enfeebled always includes a value. When you are enfeebled, you take a conditional penalty equal to the enfeebled value on attack rolls, damage rolls, and Strength-based checks.

As William rushes to join the fight, Godfrey slashes at the shadow, but it evades his strike. It dodges Esrian's burning hands, the few flames that lick it seeming to do no harm at all!

Upstairs, Elis quickly leaps over the balcony, landing on the lower floor without a hurting herself at all. Nibiru swings her hammer at her stolen shadow, scoring two solid hits.

Unfortunately, the two greater shadows gang up on the gnome, flanking her and scoring critical hits as they plunge their shadow hands into her chest. Her lifeforce falters as she falls to the floor. The shadow spawn swoops down to follow Elis, grazing her with its touch. The other shadow touches Godfrey, tugging on his own shadow to weaken him!
