Hello adventurers! Thanks for checking out this thread.

This thread is for the recruitment of a 'Wrath of the Righteous' game to be played on Roll20.net. The game will be played on Tuesday evenings from 8-8:30 to around midnight CST. We are looking for 4-5 more players.

Point Buy:
-20

Starting Level: 1

Allowed Races:
-The Core Races(Even half-elf: Drow)
-Tiefling
-Aasimar
-Aasimars and tieflings: I would like a percentile roll. There's a chart in the 'blood' books for some additional fluff I'd like to use for fun.

Disallowed Classes:
-I hate saying no to any class, but whatever you build will need to pose a fighting chance. This adventure path does focus on paladins.

Traits: 4 - 5
-1 Race Trait
-1 Social Trait
-1 Religious or Faith Trait (optional)
-1 Your choice
-1 Campaign Trait

Starting Wealth:
-Starts at first level.

Alignments:
-Good
-If you want to play an evil character that's fine as long as long as your PC strives to switch to from the dark side and become good. Rules for redemption are in the Wrath of the Righteous players guide.
-Basically, the hero.

A brief history and background is appreciated, and reading the player's guide is important. Also, picking out what mythic

Interest in this game started here:http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2rj0i?Experienced-player-looking-for-a-wee knight

Also, just so you know, my resume of running Pathfinder is very short. It begins and ends with one module: The Worldwound Incursion. I ran this for my group and it went well. I'm looking for players that are not serious, enjoy goofing off and don't mind their adventuring party acting a touch more like Monty Python than the Fellowship of the Ring. You know, for those situations when running away is more than necessary.

Below is a character concept that I have put together for a bard, I could also do a paladin or cleric if we are focusing on divine casters.

Koen Von Sobernheim
Exalted Adventurer and Grand Bard of the Highest Order
Bard - Street Performer Archetype

Character Concept:
Koen is a tall and slim human in good health with silver hair flowing in a mane about his head and a large handlebar mustache that is twisted upward at the ends enhancing his large toothy smile. His clothing is muted in color comprised of dull greens and browns except for the large brightly colored patchwork cloak that he wears about his shoulders. A variety of puppets hang on the pack on Koen’s back, a number of which bear a striking resemblance to the man that carries them.

Koen likes to make and perform with a variety of puppets ranging from sock and stick puppets to marionettes depending on the need. Koen’s performances tend to revolve around his own exploits, bragging and exaggerating the deeds that he has accomplished, it is likely that some or all of his stories are based on the exploits of others are made up in entirety.

Koen often tries to turn an extra profit with the merchants by exaggerating the grandeur of the items he is looking to sell. Some would even say he outright lies about the origins of items in his possession.

Below is a discussion overheard between Koen and a Merchant:
Koen: “You see this dagger? This dagger was once owned by the greatest warrior in the entire world. It is known as the scorpion’s sting!”

Merchant: “That’s a blunted letter opener… A rusty one at that.”

Koen: (Completely ignoring the merchant) “Yes, yes indeed! And for only 20 gold this magnificent weapon can be yours!”

Merchant: “Please leave…”

Koen ran astray of the administration in his home country after he was caught giving a private “puppet show” to a high ranking official’s wife. After securing his release from the authorities on a technicality Koen decided that it would be best if he left his home country to pursue his fortune elsewhere before any the other private “puppet shows” he performed with married women came to light.

I will be building an oread mutation warrior fighter (ACG), backstory as follows:
The eyes. Its the eyes you notice first. Brilliant like sapphires, but with a darkness inside, a weight, a terrible burden. Its the skin you notice next, black as onyx, but twisted and deformed, with impurities and the after-affects of one too many experiments showing clearly. He doesn't talk much, but when he does it's with a soft-spoken urgency, and under-tones of desperation. He pushed himself to a terrible state, made hard sacrifices, and terrible bargains, but to him its the only way. The demons, the cultists, the ones whom he must fight will have terrible rituals, ancient pacts, and much more on their side. If we are afraid to sacrifice our sanity, our dignity, and to a certain extent our humanity we will fall.

He is CG, and pretty much a fanatic
Will finalize a stat block soon and set him as an alias
Edit: going marshall, also still need to add religion, origin, and another character flaw or two im currently toying with the idea of him being a heavy drinker to deal with the pressure he puts on himself

oh crap i just reread the allowed races you gave... i can probably redo him as a half-orc or human without much difficulty.

Bobo sounds interesting, will you be doing a Barbarian or Fighter Archetype, it sounds like a half-orc barbarian to me!

its the mutation warrior fighter from acg, so its pretty much fighter with a mutagen.
Edit: have not set as alias yet, thinking maybe Göttlich Sieg (divine victory in german) for the name
Edit two: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/paizo---fig hter-archetypes/mutation-warrior Is the archetype

I have two character concepts I'd like to put forth.

The first is Ryne Kesell, a Halfling Paladin. Chastised and refused for her size and lack of raw power, she was undeterred in her goal to become a Paladin. Of the holy warrior she heard stories about when she was young. Instead of making herself stronger, she took up the Bow, practicing Archery day in and day out, in order to prove herself to the church of Iomedae and officially make her a Paladin in their order.

The other is Dominus Luvidica, a Dhampir Kinslayer. Born with a tragic fate and seeing his mother burn at the stake for giving birth to him, Dom travels the world with the powers grants to him by Zon-Kuthon. So that he may hunt down others like him and destroy them before, ultimately, taking his own life when his mission is done. He was baptized in secret when he was a baby, allowing him to walk in the daylight undeterred.

Tyeal, the halfling paladin sounds interesting!

I was considering a human archer paladin for this, but also have some other ideas. Hope GM visits back and still wants to proceed.

I'm considering playing a human paladin oath of venegeance who would eventually take levels in the shadowdancer prestige class. Also since this is wrath of the righteous, I assume mythic stuff.

Basically, I'll have a charcter concept tomorrow.

Sounds interesting Patriot!

Adopted by a family of Dwarves living near the Worldwound, Stukal has always been a hardy, stubborn man. Standing at 6'1, with brown hair and blue eyes, he is quite the sight in battle.

Early in his childhood he was kidnapped by cultists to be the sacrifice in a ritual. The ritual went wrong, and instead of being possessed, he tore off a bit of the demons strength and absorbed it (Reason for Stolen Fury trait and for becoming a Shadowdancer). After escaping, he was pissed that no body was able to track down the cultists and bring them to justice. He swore that he would get vengeance for all the past victims of demonic activity.

He made good on this promise by becoming a Oathbound Paladin of Damerrich. His oath is vengeance, a burning desire to stamp out the Worldwound, even if it means he has to follow the Demons inside to stamp them out. And now that his training is over, he bides his time for his first mission towards the world wound.

His motto: "Suffer not the Heretic, nor the Demon to live"

I hope that you find this concept interesting.

Feel free to contact me at kstevens81@gmail.com for a game. As of now I am not watching this thread anymore, but I am still looking for a pathfinder game to play.

Story: Born to a roving band of Orcs from an Orc male Cleric of Nulgreth and a female Prostitute of Calastria. Hung had a privilege position in his clan. Although some distained him this was tempered if not eliminated by the fact that he excelled at martial combat. This combined with the fact that women loved him for his massive member, made him the prince of his clan. Until that fateful day when on a raid all of his clan with the exception of himself were by a demon. He was only saved by his extraordinary martial skill an d a band of paladins of Iomedae. Upon finding himself alone, without a tribe craving to belong he begged the Paladins to let him join them, they scoffed and dismissed his please.

Alone he sought out his only family his mother a prostitute of Calastria. After finding and begging her to take him in she accepts, and puts him to work. He excels at being a prostitute despite his young age of 13 and women of all ages pay a fortune to have him. He becomes some what famous for his enthusiasm to please and his massive member. However after 5 years of bliss and fame in the company of his mother, she too dies, of a wasting disease.

Remembering the paladins who slew his clan he travels to the city of Absalom and starts his training as a paladin of Iomedae. During his tenure he spends much of his time training in the Irorium with the high priestess Ysai Iron-Palm. She becomes like a second mother to him and often asks him questions to guide his personal development. Upon his graduation at the age of 20, Ysai asks him why he chose Iomedae as his patron deity. For this Hung relates the story of the destruction of his clan, and how he saw the power, the righteousness, and most importantly the brotherhood of the paladins and the desire it kindled inside of him. That at that moment he knew he wanted to be a Paladin, he wanted to belong, he wanted purpose, and he wanted righteous vengeance on all demon kind. To this Ysai responded “one out of three could be worse.” She goes on to elaborate saying that “one should not worship Iomedae with vengeance in his heart. And should not become a paladin for power, glory, or vengeance. For these often lead ones path into the darkness. Instead if one wishes to serve as a paladin of Iomedae they should for the good of all, for justice, and righteousness, and NOT without mercy for redemption is within all of us.” Hung responds to this by saying “But I wish to be the best, to be loved by all, accepted and validated. To win glory for my family for my people for my god. Are you going to tell me these too are wrong?” To this Ysai answers “Only some. For the truth is not in others or their validation, but in yourself and your own achievement” Hung replies “But how?, Why?” Ysai smiles and says “that is what we are hear for that is what my god stands for self perfection, and those who seek the true path, their own. We who worship Irori are such individuals and I see that potential in you.” Instead of leaving for the world wound with the rest of his classmates Hung instead stays and trains in the ways of Irori and after a year leaves to join his compatriots in the city of Kenabres as a one of the few paladins of Irori.

Whoa!
After a week I gave up, and now I have posts. I owe you all an apology, I'm so sorry I your responses!

For those still interested, say aye!

Aye. SO this is 8:00 CST. SO PST time, thats around 6:00 pm (Live in California).

DO you have to have a mic and webcam? Just wondering.

Aye! Glad to see the OP decided to check back with us; Was itchin' to play my Halfling Paladin.

Also on PST. Tabletoppin' in Las Vegas.

So, when do we start playing?

I dont mean to come off as pushy, Space Butler, but could I have a little more information? When you get the chance of course.

I have Tuesday nights free. I'd like to learn how to use roll20 too. How many players do you have so far and what classes have they chosen?

Aye

Ask away. I am new to running online, so let it rip.

Ok, Do we need a Mic and Webcam for this game?

I'm still around too! Glad this ball is still rolling.

In other online games typically it's mic yes, cam no. Some sort of external voice chat is used (Skype, mumble, google hangouts) along with roll20. These details are ultimately up to GM tho.

Also, I am fairly open to what class I end up playing. I was thinking a paladin, but since a couple of others have interest in that, I may go for the "seeking redemption" angle.

Butler: if you want to chat sometime, send me a pm and we can trade contact info.

If you want me to join in, just send me a PM with information.

My mic doubled as as a camera, leaving you all seeing my ugly mug.

And I would appreciatell it if you sent me a pm, I will then share my email.

Grand Lodge

yeah my conflict of interest resolved itself so im free to play :)

Aye

But I'm waiting on a new head set. I can go ahead and buy a cheap one for now if well be meeting next week. What is a PM?

Appearance:

Hung is 6' 2" 240lbs of bone and muscle. He is of light green complexion with a startlingly human looking face. With the exception of his large protruding K-nines, his looks are indeed quite fair, almost Elven. His graceful yet strong feature are one of many things women loved about him. Unlike most Monks, who shave their heads Hung wears his hair in a long que(a partially shaved head with a long pony tail). Another thing women loved about Hung and probably the thing that made him such a good fighter was his body. Hung was not quite neither was he bulky, with wide shoulder but not disproportionately so compared to the rest of the body. This gives him maximum agility without sacrificing all of his strength.
