Well, there are plenty of exsisting rules for advanced explosives and firearms (flamethrowers, bolt action rifles, there even rules for tanks.) So a lot of the equipment stuff won't be as hard as you think.

The rough one will be redesigning classes to fit in, since this is a no magic setting. So there are gonna be a lot of martial classes with no access to healing (I assume that's were the plasma tubes come in?).

It sounds like Drow society is no longer the massive slavery and BDSM society it once was. So, characters are gonna be much different from standard drow character types.

Any other areas that need help being fleshed out.

I'm on PST as well. California.

If you want me to join in, just send me a PM with information.

Ok, Do we need a Mic and Webcam for this game?

Thank you for the clarification.

If I took the Sniper archtype for a Rogue, could I make its benefits apply to a firearm? Or Bows only?

Also, would gunslingers be able to take a rifle instead of a musket due to rifles being common? Or are they still limited to muskets.

ALso if you need stats for gas masks and gas grenades, pathfinder SRD has that stuff under there firearms page (the modern firearm one that is) they have stats for flamethrowers as well.

Ok, good to know.

Also, I see racial modifiers are written there, but are we using the drow base stats from the book? Or something completely new?

Also, gunslingers ok? I assume so due to this settings use of guns.

I am very interested in this setting (Especially the Maw, I love fortresses constantly under attack).

Give me some time to work out a character. I will get back to you on that.

I dont mean to come off as pushy, Space Butler, but could I have a little more information? When you get the chance of course.

So, when do we start playing?

Ok, thank you.

So who is actually in the game?

Aye. SO this is 8:00 CST. SO PST time, thats around 6:00 pm (Live in California).

DO you have to have a mic and webcam? Just wondering.

Thats ok, DMNPC's are ok as long as they never overshadow the players.

And since you said prestige classes, might do horizion walker somewhere down the line.

Ok. Thank you for telling us.

Having spent several days on a fruitless look for jobs Viorec has finally found a lead in the shape of a flyer tacked on to a communal bulletin board in a tavern near the wharf. He has set out to see if there is any work to be done.
Also, how often do you want players to post? Don't forget to tell me if I left anything out on the character details either, first time trying out play by post.

Thanks Waterhammer. Now I know how to do characters right on this website. Very different from face to face, which is all the experience I have had so far.

Thank you GM Tribute. I will monitor daily to see when we start playing.

--------------------
Appearance & Background
--------------------
Hunched over like most of his kind, Buzzak stands at only 5'1, and a mere 101 pounds. He wears robes over his armor and, like most tengu, resembles a large crow. He might not look like much, but he can strike as fast as lighting with his dueling sword. The hood he wears doesn't keep anyone from noting his beak or avian eyes.

Born in a slum zone in a large city on the continent of Dasin, Buzzak grew up learning to fight off the racist children of his local school. Rather than let his grades plummet, he threw himself into his studies the same way he threw himself at opponents. He quickly became infauted with the subject of history (and magic) and decided that he would one day travel the globe to hunt relics and chronicle history.

For years, he did not have the funds to set out on this dream of his. But after years of saving and training, he is finally ready to live the dream. He bought passage on a ship to Talios to answer the kings call to adventurers.

Age:30

Deepest Desire: While Buzzak has his race's normal affinity for wealth and loot, he desires historical artifacts and his chance to leave his own mark on history. He wants to rediscover the past while leaving his mark on the future.

Darkest Fear:That more ancient knowledge will be lost to the ravages of time, and that he could not contribute to the field of historical studies in any meaningful way.

Reward:Besides large amounts of wealth, Buzzak's dream reward is a massive library of knowledge to study and analyze, as well a massive reliquary of historical treasures. Oh, and his own published chronicles of his adventures in the field.

Also, when do you want to start this game? I am really getting into character here. Also, tell me if I did anything wrong.

Controlled Rage: When an urban barbarian rages, instead of making a normal rage she may apply a +4 morale bonus to her Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution.

This bonus increases to +6 when she gains greater rage and +8 when she gains mighty rage. She may apply the full bonus to one ability score or may split the bonus between several scores in increments of +2.

When using a controlled rage, an urban barbarian gains no bonus on Will saves, takes no penalties to AC, and can still use Intelligence-, Dexterity-, and Charisma-based skills. This ability otherwise follows the normal rules for rage.

Crowd Control:At 1st level, an urban barbarian gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC when adjacent to two or more enemies. In addition, her movement is not impeded by crowds, and she gains a bonus equal to 1/2 her barbarian level on Intimidate checks to influence crowds.

Entry 1:What strange creatures these fey are. I wandered throughout the wilderness of this area for years without bumping into them once. Or was it only minutes? Can't seem to recall. My sense of time is going.

The gnomes are nice enough. My already potent survival skills have increased under their tutelage. Who would of thought Gnomes of all people new so much about increasing physical strength.

Entry 2:The Gnomes were acting a bit odd today. Said I had reached perfect testing size, whatever that means. The constantly due measurements to see how strong I am. At night, when I rest, I hear other races outside. Elves, Humans, Dwarves, but when I awake, nothing. Am I dreaming.

Entry 3:I am not sticking around here anymore. I snuck out to use the restroom at night and caught them hauling some poor human off to an elevator. I felt suddenly sick looking at the doors, like it was some gaping maw coming to swallow me. Must try to get out tomorrow.

Entry 4:Oh holy Torglarok they are coming for me. There going to shove me down that elevator, after doing who knows what to me. I saw what happened to one of the Elves, they did something to him and he forgot everything, even his own name. Is that my fate. No! They are at the door. Must stash this journal somewhere on me so I have some small chance at remembrance.

I hope it meets your satisfaction.

Re edited to complete it. Looking for work is a bonus to perception. The Eternal Emperor is a deity, but won't affect gameplay in any way. Its an Eastern deity.

I am quite interested in this. I will probably play as an Urban barbarian who multiclasses into scarred witch doctor, half orc of course.

Favorting this thread so I can stay up to date.

Background:
Adopted by a family of Dwarves living near the Worldwound, Stukal has always been a hardy, stubborn man. Standing at 6'1, with brown hair and blue eyes, he is quite the sight in battle.

Early in his childhood he was kidnapped by cultists to be the sacrifice in a ritual. The ritual went wrong, and instead of being possessed, he tore off a bit of the demons strength and absorbed it (Reason for Stolen Fury trait and for becoming a Shadowdancer). After escaping, he was pissed that no body was able to track down the cultists and bring them to justice. He swore that he would get vengeance for all the past victims of demonic activity.

He made good on this promise by becoming a Oathbound Paladin of Damerrich. His oath is vengeance, a burning desire to stamp out the Worldwound, even if it means he has to follow the Demons inside to stamp them out. And now that his training is over, he bides his time for his first mission towards the world wound.

His motto: "Suffer not the Heretic, nor the Demon to live"

I hope that you find this concept interesting.

I can do either skilled or other. Though ninja's are built more for killing than skill monkeying. Whatever works.

I'm considering playing a human paladin oath of venegeance who would eventually take levels in the shadowdancer prestige class. Also since this is wrath of the righteous, I assume mythic stuff.

Basically, I'll have a charcter concept tomorrow.

Ok, might as well throw in a character

Submitting for divine caster. Though I can fight on the front lines as well.

Basic character concept right now is a human oracle of metal. While he was originally just a normal blackmsith, contact with the strange magic in Numeria has caused him to start having great control over metal, giving him his abilities.

Whatever strange magic exists in this land has also started giving him the ability to cast spells as well.

I will have the specifics ready as soon as possible.

Screw it, sticking with beast rider

So, we have an interesting mix so far. Maybe we need more spellcasting?

Ok, You can play the magus, I need to mess with the program I'm using for character sheets. Its malfunctioning.

Nope, going with kensei Magus. Is that ok?

WIll probally play as a best rider for this campaign. Exotic mounts, here I come!

Thank Christ for increased starting wealth at high levels

1d6+1=(4)+1=5

Good roll. Think I might try playing either a beast rider cavalier or a two weapon fighting ninja.
