Hey everybody. I'll be on a 9-day business trip starting this afternoon, so posting will be spotty. Still should be able to post every day, but feel free to NPC my character to move things along.

Thanks for letting us know! Good luck on your trip.

Once Logarth and Lance get to the boy's home Logarth allows Lance to deliver the boy to the parents before stepping forward.
"Now I do be beggin your pardon, but while we were in the mines I happened upon a rather important looking man, unfortuantly he was dead, but I managed to get this off him." Logarth pulls out the button and shows it to the family.
"Does this look familiar to any of you?"

Male Human Barbarian 1/Oracle 1

Cael makes repeated trips back and forth to the mine on one of the trips he sits down only to find that the water skin placed on his hip had been moved to the other side, and it empty. He looks around at who could have done this and most certainly finds nothing. So he asks a favor to his ancestors and the waterskin and it becomes full again. He staves off the sweat and continues his work.

The parents are ecstatic when they see their son. When they notice that there is only one they ask, Thank you so much. Jed, where is Callum? Where is your brother? When Jed doesn't answer his parent look at you both.

The mother starts sobbing uncontrollably while clutching at her son. The father is stone faced but you can see he is barely keeping it together, trying to be strong for his family.

Did ye slay the ones that took em?

When you reply yes he continues You be having my thanks fer that. Ye done a good thing for my family.

When Logarth asks about the badge he says That be a badge of a tax collector of Saragost. Ye should ask the mayor about that, he'd know more.

He looks like he is weighing something for a second and then says You should ask Jim Oakenbough about that and be checkin his windmill I'd wager. I cannot say more than that without endangering my family. Thank you again for all ye done but I think we need to be alone to grieve. Did you happen to return our boys body?

The other group took it to the church to the priest.

"Aye his body is being taken to the priest as we speak. The costs shall come from our satchels." Then with a stone face he looks back at the father,"Jim Oakenbough you say? He a man that smiles a lot? Met a bloak outside the mine with a few of his pals rubbed me the wrong way. He was smilin the whole time and insisted that we not look for your boys in the mine. I believe that we have somethin from the Hobgoblins that took your boys should you care to meet us at the Tavern. But I do thank you for the information and my condolences on your loss."
Logarth waits for Lance before deciding what to do next.
I think we should meet the others then go find the mayor and ask about this Jim Oakenbough fellow.

Lance has a cold look on his face after the delivery of the boy to his parents, his face obviously troubled by something.

Bastards, it was their determination to ignore caution that led to the death of the child, just as surely as the goblinoid that held the knife...

However, he keeps his thoughts to himself for a moment as they walk away from the house. When they are out of earshot, he speaks to Logarth quietly.

"That lad Jim... he's got a strange way about him... Looks fair and feels foul, if ye take my meaning, from what I recall in the town. And ye mark how the boy's dad be nervous like when he brought up the name to us? And how this "Jim" lad be warning us back from the mines, as if he got something to protect? Ye don't get a plan like the one we done see below the dirt and mud without having friends above, as may be. Lad, I be thinking we need to watch this Jim fellow... one hand our purse, the other on a weapon... strikes me like lad who'd cut yer throat fer coin or make mischief fer amusement. Just be keeping yer eyes open and yer speach subtle, if ye take my meaning,"he adds as they continue to walk.

Germon and Darnail will take the bodies to the chapel. Germon will allow Darnail to do whatever service he wishes before they depart. Germon will lower his own head in respect. Once Darnail is finished Germon will head to the tavern and wait for the others. While there he will pull out the documents he found. He will see if there is any indication as to where the authors may be. Or what he'd say or do should he even find them. One thing is for certain. He wants to return to the mines to explore those tunnels further.

"I agree there is something wrong and amiss with that one. He seems like the kind to punch you in the nose so your eyes water and then while you can't see he takes your weapon and your purse. I will speak soft, but know my fists carry a lot of metal if you catch my drift."

As they walk Logarth can tell something is eating away at Lance. "Besides this Jim fellow what seems to ail you lad? As for me that dead boy weighs more than a blacksmith's anvil."

Finally back in town, and eager to be away from his rude, and overbearing companions, The Slice seeks out the company of young Alice for a quick catch-up hug and kiss, and to check on the general mood about the town. Might even ask her about this Jim Oakenbough, if it crosses his mind.

"Ye be missing me point, lad. Fer whatever reason we be drawed here by something fierce in the way o' spellcasting or magical powers in general... mayhap even the gods, as may be,"Lance adds, making a warding symbol at the thought of some god or demon-spawned supernatural curse.

"What be the use of running from this place to wherever our homes be? We be getting home, and then? What's to stop what be drawing us back to this place from doing it again? And again after that? What purpose we got here? Why we be being here, eh? Fer what reason? And what in the nine hells we need be doing to keep us from getting drawed back to this rock again..."

Lance pulls out a smoke, realived that the tobacco didn't get too damp in the caves for a quick taste, rolls himself a soggy cigeratte and then pauses to light it with his flint and steel and keeps walking.

"I ain't a spellslinger by far; but funny thing we all get drawed to that ring o' stones with symbols on it that be matching tattoos on our skins that ain't be tattoos but birthsigns and they be linked by some kind o' strange power to boot, if I may say... mayhap we be learning more on the stone circle and finding out what we can do about things... I wonder what the hell those buggers found up in the tombs that they were so looking forward to scouting out... any writs on the rocks there, or last words on a gravestone... bitty of legend or lore carved out there when they looked fer that resting place o' that last hero who fell so heroic like... That could prove useful, if I'd say so... Damnation, we be needing words on history to guide us forward, not cheap guessing on bandits. As fer that bandit lad, if he done steered us wrong, I'll fix him up in his bloody windmill - tie him to one of them bloody spinning blades there - and burn the whole poxing thing to the ground around him fer what he done by mixing up the young folk..."

Lance cocks an eye and blows a stream of smoke.

"But meantime, if ye think we hop the island and head home, or wherever, I say we ain't going far... Magic done brought us here, and magic bring us back, if needs be... We need to find why we here and deal with the magic that be comming, 'stead of worrying on hash... Ye be a good lad to call mate but I tell ye true, either way it stands, I be againt yer line o' thinking that we got's a "choice" to be here... as of yet, the facts be saying otherwise, on account of the magic. But I'd be agreeable to be proved wrong, and get the hell out o' here and back on me ship. Drow folk don't do much tunneling up to ships from under the sea; but hell, maybe that's why I like being on the waves so much..."he adds with a wry grin.

"Perhaps you be right about gettin home my guess is until we finish whatever business has brought us to this Godforsaken rock we can't be leavin if you know what I mean. Now, perhaps before we meet the others in the Tavern for a stiff drink and hot meal perhaps a second look at that tomb could tell us more. What say you to a quick stop lad?"

I glance to the clouds above... then shrug my shoulders fairly casually.

"It be a fair suggestion... I don't be needin' a stiff drink now, I'd rather keep my wits sharp and about me then not..."

I look back toward the hills where the mysterious "tomb" of the lost hero was supposedly located. A few of the lads had gone there, and they found nothing... but perhaps there was something written on a crypt or masoleum or some such... I don't know what was found there, or written on the rocks; those who had left... they never volunteered such information. But I wanted hard evidence, documents, something concrete to look over and better understand about our own trials.

For myself, I hadn't gone before, because I was eager to leave the island and find a safe port and travel on. But, after considering these details; that we may never get off and stay off this bloody island until we find the reason were drawn here; what magic summoned us, and how we can fulfill whatever purpose that brought us... Well; until we do that then I would think that the same magic will most likely bring us back again and again until we complete whatever goal that drew us.

I turn with this half-orc and we head back to the hills with the myserious "tomb" of a hero who fought here once...

"Anyhow, let's be moving on then, I'd just assume get there sooner then later..."I add, picking up my pace.

Cael will come back into the small town with everyone gear in tow. If anyone is particularly observan he will be looking down to his right side a lot towards nothing and seems to be learning a local Childs limerick.

Looking back at Lance, Logarth smiles then widens his stride. "The faster the better. While last time at the tomb I didn't notice anything in particular, but that doesn't mean there was nothing there, instead and most likely it was that I wasn't looking in the right place."
Thinking for a moment then reacting to Lance's comment about the drink,[b]"You loose your wits after one drink? You do be a lightweight unlike most others I have met. Perhaps I do be needin to teach you a thing or two. "[b] Logarth laughs and nudges Lance.

Male Human Cavalier level 1

Germon is trying to decide his next course of action. Should he wait for the others to return, he wondered. Or should I go on ahead and see if I can find those who own this document. I should at least try and find the others first. Germon gets up to look the others. He catches Cael during one of his laps. Excuse me Cael. Letting you know I'm heading back into the mines to find the Drow. You can come with or let the others know where I've gone. with that, Germon began to make his way back to the mines. Specifically to the spot where they found the documents.

"I've drunk with werebears and succubi... I've tasted elixers and tonics from the hands of Drow bosses who wanted to ply narcotics through me former chief... Hell, an old shipmate o' mine had a lass o' his, her granddaddy be Drow, took an elven slave, and then the bastard of THAT marriage be bleeding with a human, giving birth to HER... she be a right one fer drinking, I tell ye that fer true; though a fine lass in other respects, but her kin be devil spawn,"Lance says, pausing to spit at the concept of the Drow slavers "... But in any case I've at least had many a fine brew from the hands of Gaelic warlords after we done smuggled some tidy bits o' weapons to their clans... No, I can handle drinks a'right; when it be time fer drinking. Then I enjoy the taste, the smell, and flavor... it be as fine as an elven wench's... well, I'll leave it to yer imagination. But, fer now we be doing business. Drinking be fer pleasure; business be fer work, and I be one to keep the others cut in twain. If it be true that on yer last trip to this spot ye missed something o' note... mayhap it were because yer mind was distracted on other things... Duty, discipline, focus... when doing the job, that be the key... And after I do the job, I'll drink with the best of them,"he adds the last with a flat smile.

"I do recognize yer words on being friendly like, don't mistake me... but I'd rather be drinking long after this sodding adventure be done, then in the middle of it... Once we find the reason we be here, then we needs to be finding what to do to solve it, and then we needs to be finding the TOOLS to accomplish it... then undertake and continue to get it bloody done... When that be finished, then I be the happier and drink free with ye; a deck under me boots, masts tilted with sails in a full wind, and the opens sea to do with as I be pleasing. Mayhap when we be done ye'll be thinking of shipping with someone? I got a few trusty lads and a... well, I had a good ship... but I'll get another; think on if ye want a berth with some that ye trust,"Lance adds toward the end.

After a couple hours of relaxing and flirting in the tavern, The Slice starts to wonder where the rest of his motley "Group" are. He figured they would end up here to determine their next step. He walks out and after asking around for a while determines that half have went back to the tomb, and the other half have left to go back to the mines. He then goes back inside thinking to himself...I wonder if this group of individuals will ever learn to work as a group. I guess I'll get some rest tonight and arrange a body recovery party first thing in the morning.

Male Elf Cleric 2

Alright, its been 2 days and i haven't seen a single detail of what is found/happens at the chapel when we show up with 2 dead people. So i guess i'll assume its a completely deserted and empty building.

Darnail will knock at the Chapel's doors, wait a moment and then open them. Directing Germon to lay his burden out in the burial yard typically behind such structures. He will say a few words over the departed, and then when Germon departs he will rummage inside the building to procure two burial shrouds to cover them both with. He will sigh a bit, waiting for this village priest's return, but as teh time ticks by, he will eventually stir himself to pen a brief explanatory message to this nameless and faceless person when they finally come back(as two why there are two dead bodies on their lawn all of a sudden)before making his way to the town mayor's. Outside the mayor's house, he will look around, and see nobody else.

"Just wonderful. Our teamwork and planning will be the stuff of legends."

Resigned, Darnail will knock on the door of the mayor's house by himself.

Male Human Gunslinger, 1

Not sure what will be happening next... But my plan is when we reach the tombs to search them thoroughly for any carving or sign of incrsirption, be a fresca, etching, or runework on the side of a grave marker or crypt...

When and IF I find such a thing, I would like to study such markerings; try to discovery what language they are, and possibly, if it is encoded... and perhaps cross-reference it to any pertinent knowledge skill for more details on what the meanings of the stonework, design, and potential etchings may reveal on why we have been drawn/magically summoned to this island, and how to defeat this burden and be able to return home.

Toward this end, please let me know, if anything, what I discover, Immirtl. After I discover what information that I can, I intend to seek out the stalwart elf in the group, and see what he thinks of whatever my findings are, and hopefully combine our collective resources to discover any information via the clues... This presumes I even find anything, but we need to start somewhere first.

Thanks!

Muchos apologies everyone for the delay!

Darnail and Germon: I am retconning back to the church and we will go from there. Through the arched holes that might once have held stained glass windows, you see a rough stone altar, undamaged. Standing behind this with its arms raised is what appears to be a human form, wreathed in blue flowers. A middle aged human man with salt and pepper muttonchops opens the door. He is wearing priestly robes denoting the symbol of Blediwesse on it. He smiles as he first sees you but when he notices the bodies gets a sad and grave expression on his face.

I feared this would be the result of the search. Please come in and you can tell me what happened. I am Father Bronson by the way, I am sorry we meet under such circumstances. Father Bronson has a deep bass voice and looks like he would be more at home swinging a warhammer and wielding a shield than preaching to a backwater flock of villagers. He takes you into the old chapel and has you lay the bodies upon the raised dais. The roof is open to the sky and there are flowers decorating all around.

Lance and Logarth: You both make your way to the tomb after visiting the boys parents and talking to each other. When you get there you are able to scrape enough mold and dirt and moss aside to get an idea of what the inscription you noticed earlier said.

okay, rewinding a bit for me then.

"Father Bronson is it? Darnail Sunsworn, and my companion is Germon. We found the two boys in the old mine, Hobgoblins were the culprits apparantly."

Darnail will look sadly at the young boy's body.

"we saved one, but were unable to do teh same to this poor lad. I am unsure of which rites your community uses for their departed, so can leave it in your care, or i can speak Brith's Word for his passing. We also have a bit of a mystery. We found this other poor fellow at the bottom of the mineshaft, with his throat cut. Outside of the mine we ran into a disreputable quartet of townsfolk, who tried to warn us away from the mine. They said they had already looked, and the boys were not inside."

Darnail will eye father Bronson carefully.

"He gave his name as Jim Oakenbough, and his manner and pose revealed that he was lying. This dead fellow carried a badge. (Darnail will describe it briefly) He appeared to us in the mine as a restless spirit, a ghost. We need to do what is needed to put him to his final rest. What can you tell me about Jim, and do you have any idea who this man may have been, and how they could be connected at all?"

Male to kill the six fingered man Duelist/20 years

Father Bronson is extremely saddened to hear about the boy but thanks you or your service to the community saving the other and ending the threat of the others. As soon as you mention Jim Oakenbough he nigh explodes. THAT MURDEROUS BASTARD! I knew it was him but had no proof and the villagers would say naught to me for fear o'him and his croneys! This be the last straw! Unfortunately we still don't have enough to go to the sheriff with this. All we have is them outside the mine. We need proof that hims the one that done it. But how to get it? Father Bronson looks pensive for a moment while he tries to figure what to do. He looks at you both and says There's gotta be something up at that decrepit windmill o'his. Do you think you could check it out while I attend these poor souls bodies?

Male Elf Cleric 2

Due to the partial rewind, i will wait for Germon to see it/post before continuing actions. My intent would be to agree with the man, and try to catch the others in town particularly Logarth and Slice as they seem to be sneaky types. I have a feeling Logarth will be out of town with Lance by the time i can find anyone, but if i can catch Cael and Slice i'll see if the 4 of us can tackle this windmill.

Where in town are you going?

Lance and Logarth: You both make your way to the tomb after visiting the boys parents and talking to each other. When you get there you are able to scrape enough mold and dirt and moss aside to get an idea of what the inscription you noticed earlier said.

"You've been here before... am I missing something? Is this clue news to you, and if not, why did ye speak naught of it before?"Brett says looking sternly at Logarth. He does not seem happy that the party didn't mention a possible detail which could be an important clue... Unless they simply didn't bother to read the thing... but in which case, why even go there?

In any case, I shall copy these markings down in my log, and search for a few more clues, if we can find anything else.

"Hmm... it be mentioning something on "them that came before"... and "stars shall fall"... against "Her" might... Odd thing... If I be right on guessing mayhap Stars be poetic not literal; odd thing, too, that we found stone pillars that got markings like that which be on our flesh... markings in the shape of "star signs"... Seems as if the stones be drawing their "star folk" to fight something... be right natural as the first thing we fought were be shadowy creatures of darkness, like wights or wraiths or some such... Question is: who be "her"... Queen, Empress, or Goddess, as like as not... but I ain't be a priest or naught... ye got a hankering on any queens of old, or goddesses of old, that may need to be fought against today? Whoever it be; they be likely long lived... and if I had a gamble I'd say it be something that can summon dark things like them that attacked us when we be getting here... Something evil no doubt... All this when we got word of Drow folk conspiring with... ah; note the word "conspire" and "assail" here... against someone... but who do Drow work with... who be this "Her" they be talking on... Me time in Xoth Sararndi they be saying the Drow folk be worshipping some odd god, or goddess of sorts... need to be asking a priest on that one,"I say as I absently squash a nasty spider crawling across the stones.

"Thing to do now is find someone with a bit of learning in this poxing town and ask them on this finding... see what they be getting so say on it... Find it right odd that we be magicked here of a sudden, with signs of stars on our bodies, and signs of stars on the rocks we got to, and now this tomb mentions something about "Stars", "Conspiricies" and "Her"... all a bloody coincidence... but I think not. Question is; if it is linked, then what do we do about it? How do we stop this hash from happening?"I say, pounding my palm with my fist, my eyes cold.

"Well, lad, ye got any ideas? Damnation... I wish we had someone here to lend us a hand with these old matters, someone more learned then I am on this ancient lore. I studdied navigating and sailing; that be my skills, not this... if only we had some damn HELP!"I add the last, my eyes staring at nothing, awaiting a reply from Logarth, hoping he can shed more light on this than I can.

Rewind huh, I was wondering when something was going to happen.
Germon will deposit the bodies where they need to be. He then draws his sword. "If this man has anything to do with these kidnappings, then we shall bring him to justice. Come Darnail, we have investigating to do and no one does it better than me and Barrett. Lets go." Germon is now anxious and ready to go.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Logarth looks back at Lance taking in everything that has been said and quietly processing the information."Well lad I do reckon that there be a priest in this godforsaken town and perhaps the mayor would know more. But as for me I would say that we best find the others and together we go about puttin all this puzzle together. However I reckon that we best be movin along until this puzzle is put together."

"In this my thoughts mirror yours Germon. Let us gather the others as well, he had three friends with him so prudence tells us not to be rash. Let's check the tavern and the front of the mayors where i suggested we all meet up."

Darnail will straighten up and head outside, moving with purpose through the small town. Any of his companions he finds he will flag down and give a summary in brief but concise whispers.

DM let us know who/if we find any others please.

Darnail, you and Germon see Logarth and Lance coming back from towards the tomb. You all meet in the town center where you find Cael with your gear. He seems to be talking to himself.

Male Human Gunslinger, 1

Since he can see us, I assume we see him... I adress him in the Elven speech, as is how I typically talk to him. Not being covert, just being polite.

"|Well met, brother... did thy blessings for that of the last rites of these poor unfortunates go well? And how did the conversing with the priest of this burg fare? For in truth I had been on course to speak to him my very self when mine own services were requested to help find the children in the mine shaft; and I had not thus spoken to him. But, seeking the wisdom of the priest; this seems right that I should do, for examination of the resting place of some fallen warrior has resulted in the discovery of ancient lore which may give proof to why we have arrived thusly on this island. Yet I am no student of that lore or deep matters of history, though perhaps thou art? If so, would thy shed light on these matters propperly, and so, perhaps, illuminate us all to the purpose of how we may complete the task that binds us here and therefore reutrn free to our own lives?|"

I quickly go over him the findings at the tomb, including the inscriptions, and offer him my opinions on how it may relate to the starsigns on our flesh and the linking to the circle of rocks. When I hear the details of this "Jim" fellow... I ponder it for a moment before responding.

"|Thou speaketh on matters much close to my heart, 'tis true. I would have this carrion feed gutted, and his head spitted on a pike for the crows to feast upon for his black treachery... yet if my guesses are not amiss then greater things are afoot then the machinations of one black villian and what dogs follow him to do mischief. I sense we have a greater destiny then policing this village for troubles that they should aright themselves with ease, if fear did not check their hand. Yet if defering the path of this greater destiny to hunt down these scum must first occur, by your suggestion, and this; the thoughts of the good half-yrch here,|"I say gesturing to Logarth "|then perhaps I am mistaken and we should put our own needs aside for that of vengence on the scoundrels who led us to this path. Come, brother. What is thy say in this matter? What words of wisdom can thou offer on the reading of the mystery on why we art here... And should we seek the solving of that adventure, or rather persue the erredication of these badits. Thou art wise, choose well in these matters, and for a time I shall follow; but give heed to the solving of the mystery to why we art here, for it sits unwell with me that I am drawn across the sea for no purpose... and would believe it be for high matters best solved soon.|"

Anywhow, what's Darnail's take on the information found on the tomb? And is he more interested in finding the clues to why we are here by talking to the town priest, who seems to be the only one with a head on his shoulders in this place (as the mayor is a fool and a cuckhold) or should we go off on another little "side mission" to route out some petty bandits? I'm ambivilent right now and will go with his and Logarth's vote in the matter on this case.

Also, is there any way we can start picking up the posting? It's been over a month, and in that time we've barely posted 700 postings... roughly 20 a day, with six players, roughly 3 posts a player a day... maybe... and half of the "posts" look like they are one line commentary from a cell phone... it's just my opinion, but a play by post gives us the chance to build a cool story, and this world is ripe for the chance to write that story... I'm just hoping to see it happen... So, GM, is there any way we could pick up the pace a bit? Just curious...

We seem to constantly butt heads on play. This should really be in the ooc thread, but you don't seem to visit there too often. One of the joys of PbP is you don't have to be in as big of a hurry. I have a job that entails that I work 60+ hours per week. When I get down time I like to visit my games and play. I can't keep up if the games go faster, and quiet frankly they WILL burn out if they go faster. I've got over 3500 posts, and have played in many games, and this game pace if fine. Also don't mean to be the grammar police but you constantly use "I'd just assume"., and it should be "I'd just as soon". sorry but that drives me crazy. Just enjoy the game, let things happen and pretend that there are other players in the game. And this is a personal problem. I find you posts posting in occ to be very readable, but your in characters posts are almost unreadable

When you quote another players post you should really separate it from your text to make it readable, as I have done in this post. In addition you haven't posted your character sheet on the profile as everyone else (Except Loggarth :-) has). These things are common accepted practice for PbP's. If you're not sure how to do these things...just ask, and I'll be happy to assist.

PbP is fast if there is one post per day per player. Maybe you have a faster posting game, and I have seen it, but 99% of the games on here are considered fast if they average one post per day. PbP is designed for those who have busy lives, and can't game as often as we'd like in a normal situation. Please give it a rest, and try to learn to play with others. You remind me of a GM I once played with who was a marvelous GM but horrible as a player due to the fact he constantly got bored when he wasn't involved in action...chill.

I will answer your comments, though really my questions were meant for the GM

I am involved in two games, and have done Play by post for a total of 6 weeks. In that time I have done over 700 posts. That is in 6 weeks. I work two jobs, for around 50+ hours a week, and somehow I can fit it in. Today being my one day off in the week. I just disagree with the speed.

Your "grammar police" suggestion has been read before, and noted before. However, I do hope you aren't singling me out personally for a fault that is made by everyone in this game, including you. We are all prone to errors in grammar, it happens, but that's fine.

I like a good story, and ammount of postings are less interesting to me then what was written. One or two sentence long posts seem hardly worth the time to me, I'd like to read something interesting when I get home from my second job. But then, that is me.

Also, I deliberately don't post my character sheet on the board. Except for level one. This is on purpose. I send things to the GM direct, and let him correct me or admonish me for skills I have, or what choices I make. I've gamed a bit on table-top, and noticed that when players know each others sheets they tend to meta-game.

Finally, the post was really meant for the GM. I am looking for his feedback in the case. If he thinks the game is going the right pace, and I am bored by the lack of pacing, and in the minority, perhaps this isn't the game for me. But we shall see when he responds.

Thank you for suggestions, however. I responded only because, as you point out, I don't go to a board dedicated to OOC postings. But I am sure things willl work out fine soon.

"|Well, brother... What say thee? What is thy answer to the riddle of the question I bring thee... and thy advice on what we must do next? If thou know; I entreat thee... speak! Thy silence is heavy...|"I add, pressing Darnail for his thoughts on my question, as well as his suggestions.

You all find Cael sitting at the town center he looks up from the conversation that he has been having with what appears to be himself. Well met, crew. Seems to me before you go out saving the day again. You might want to keep your clothes on. He tosses everyone their proper gear.

Upon Darnail and Lances 'private talks' he will look down and to the side and speak Yes, Callum, they are speaking the elvish tongue but what they don't under stand is

Elvish:
There are others present that can speak it.
Now do you know this missing man they speak of?

Cael will take on more moment to greet Lograth, If my recollection serves me right you owe me a couple of drinks Master Monk

I am confused... as far as I know I never gave any goods or gear to Cael. Is he refering to something particular here regarding specific members of the party?

Everyone removed their gear to swim to get to the child

If Cael had the option he would have gone with Germon. If that was retconned out continue with above. Everyone seems to post after I go to bed gets kind of overwhelming sometimes and I have 20 posts to read after work and school, so I apologize for being so slow

Male Human Gunslinger, 1

I turn and fix a cool gaze on Cael, and return the tongue of elves to him.

"|Nay, barbarian... I care little who speaks the high tongue of Elder Race; nor do I seek to hinder others with the prevention of knowledge. It is rather a courtesy to a countreyman that I speak thus; his mother tongue, and I care little that thy possess the wit to master it. It is meet that thou have improved thy lot in life by learning such fair speech; if with it manners, patience, prudence and wisdom are also studied, thy may also improve thy quality, rather then thy failure at the caves.|"

My voice is hard, and it was not a conversation I looked forward to.

If he had any cunning or wits about him, the other lad may have lived. But we'll not know now... the boy is dead because of his fancy for cracking skulls instead of thinking. It cannot be changed, for he is what he is, and shall not apologize for his actions. Very well; but do not goad him overmuch. His presence, no matter how distasteful, may be needed to solve the mysteries of the reason we are here.

A sudden thought moves through my mind, and I turn back to Cael.

"Ye already traveled to the tombs, and looked about. Well then, what be yer take on what ye be finding? And why did ye keep it silent? Or did ye travel that way for naught? What do ye know about the letters on the tomb, and their meaning, and the sorcery that be bringing us here... anything to offer other then drivel on drinking beer? There be work to do, on a grand scale... why not do something on that cause, rather then sitting about making tom-fool remarks?"I add the last with some disintrest, looking down at the lounging Gaelic warrior, suspecting that the questions won't really matter, as he won't offer to do anything with the information anyway.

I then turn back to Darnail and await his answer.

No worries.. work and school is overwhelming, especially when you come home to like fifty posts. I understand completely :)

Male Human Barbarian 1/Oracle 1

I do not find that learning the language of elves to improve my character at all, nor has it defamed it, just try and respect all those with you and speak so they can understand.[b]He stands to tower over the individual, [b]Besides I wasn't talking to you I was talking to Callum.

He takes a moment to calm the rage building inside of him. Then retorts quite calmly, There was no failure at the caves, the boy lives on. Better to act than stand like a whelp getting his first woman. You stood doing nothing as a brother in battle was about to get killed, I acted to save our brother. Yes, he may have made a deal but that leader could have easily changed his mind when you went to collect money from a town who couldn't afford it anyways, even if he stuck to the deal whats to say they wouldnt do it again. That ransom would have destroyed the town. So I did what you didn't have the balls to do and made a choice. Now the mischevious child is happy, he gets to be part of a tale that any bard would be envious to write and tell.

When Lance turns back to Cael he smirks and says My take on the findings would be an even share on the equipment however if you keep talking to me like you cabin boy I'm likely to take your share as well. He pauses a moment at the barrage of questions. Uh what. slow down. I'm not some brothel mate your trying to get in bed. talk to me plainly. Wait...did you say beer. That is a fantastic idea!

Then turning the others,"Well what say you all? Perhaps a few drinks and a hot meal would do us all well as we sort out all the information we have, but if ye be up for bustin some teeth well my appetite can wait."
