Fancy Footwork: During my turn, If I melee attack against a creature, that creature can't make opportunity attacks against me for the rest of my turn.

Rakish Audacity: Starting at 3rd level, my unmistakable confidence propels me into battle. I can add my Charisma Modifier to my initiative roll.
In addition I don't need advantage on my attack rolls to use my sneak attack if no other creature other than my target is within 5' of me. All other rules for sneak attack class features still apply.

Two-Weapon Fighting note. Fancy footwork offers a more limited version of disengage within my attack. This allows you to use your bonus action to fight with two weapons, and then safely evade each foe I attacked.

[b]Back Story

Spoiler:

Growing up in Waterdeep was not a bad thing for a curious young boy like Sylvester. He had three older sisters to do most of the work around the house, and two older brothers to help his father in the forge. It also didn't hurt that he was quite a bit younger than the others, and therefore more than a little spoiled. But as the old saying goes Idle minds lead to mischievous acts, the young man was usually in trouble for one thing or the other. He had quite the temper, and was a bit... well very impatient, which led to several run-in's with the local constabulary.

When he was a young boy he was cute enough to get away with things, and as he grew older he was smart enough to stay away from compromising situations. Unfortunately his luck ran out one day. He had always enjoyed playing with the knives that his father and brothers crafted. When asked what gift he desired for his naming day, or any other gifting occasion it was always for a particular blade design that his creative siblings were able to come up with. He loved knives so much, that his family and friends begin to simply call him "The Slice". He liked the name so much that this became his common name. Only his mother sometimes still called him Sylvester, and that was usually followed by his last name, and used as a summon to answer for some misdeed.

The Slice was sitting in his local tavern hangout with a few friends when a group of well dressed noble teens entered, obviously slumming and looking for trouble. The Slice and his friends tried to ignore them but when one of them "accidentally picked up a nearly full spittoon and dumped it on poor Slug's head, The Slice lost his temper and attacked the young man... It didn't go well. While Slice loved his blades he had never actually used one in a fight, and was as surprised as the young noble when his throat opened wide from a swipe of one of his father's best blades.

The young man ran home packed up his most treasured belongings, and headed out of the city, to try to make his way in the world. He couldn't bring the shame, and bad fortune onto his loving family, so he made himself scarce. He had a series of adventures and mis-adventures, but a silly drunken mistake in a dockside bar in Baldus's Gate almost ended his young life. He was captured by a band of slavers, and press-ganged aboard a junk headed for some unknown destination. His Jig would have been up, but for the intervention of one man. While aboard ship he ended up bunking next to a man who enlisted his help in a plot to mutiny and take over the ship. After a carefully laid plan was executed they were able to take the ship, and turn the slavers over to the authorities. Only then did the man reveal himself as a member of an organization called "The Harpers". The young man worked with his patron for a while, and was accepted as a junior member of that organization for the next two years.

While on a mission to Zentil Keep a scheme went upside down and his patron ended up losing his life. If not for a lucky fall into a handy midden heap The Slice would have joined him. He grew angry with the organization, because he felt that someone within the group had given them up, and he held the Harpers responsible for his Mentor's death. After making his way back to the safe house, he tore off his Harpers pin in anger, and vowed to never help them again. To this day he speaks ill of them when given the chance, and thwarts them when possible.

So now he's back in the city of his birth after Eight years away. He's taller, stronger, and much wiser than when he left, and hopefully his changed appearance will offer him some protection. Upon his arrival he checked from afar to make sure his family was still safe and prosperous, and wishing to spare them the anguish of seeing him return and then leave again, he kept his arrival back in Waterdeep a secret... for now.

He needed to lay low for a while, get the feel of things, and establish himself here before he could think about contacting his family and friends again...

Where to start... This place looks promising.
