What is the loot? Is it useful for Quinray? I get HP and skills only right. And one ability point which of course I will put to Dex.
I will be moving up in Unchained Rogue

Tirnel Stargazer |

Ok Chris and Clint, quit harassing me. Level up!
"And there was much rejoicing!"
Milo's magic items magically transform into equivalent items that would be useful to Vret/Vret-Kynn.
Nothing quite like a successful diplomacy (snivel) check!

I will be moving up in Unchained Rogue
Loot (I believe Kentaur wanted an amulet of NA):
+1 ring of protection
+1 ring of protection
+1 amulet of natural armor
+1 dagger
+1 dagger
+1 great sword
+1 leather armor
MW breastplate
Stag helm radiates magic as well but you're unable to ascertain what it does
x5 chainmail, Comp Long Bow +2 Strength (- one to Ibram). Each also has a longsword and a quiver with 18 arrows left.
spears is magic +1
3 long bows, 2 MW falchions, 1 MW great sword, 3 chain mail.
Let me know if Quinray wants any of the above. I'm working on the GP total after all sales.

Tirnel Stargazer |

Gold shares for each PC (not including Stag Helm of infinite GP generation)=4,032 & 1 GP extra.
Too bad I paid off that debt to Milo! Milo's loose GP (1,180) and the 1 extra GP above gets ~hand wave~ donated to the Church of Erastil.

Quinray Quantreant |

There does not seem to be anything useful here. Quinray will take the quiver and arrows.

Tirnel Stargazer |

Tirnel goes up in....wizard (now level 4).
+1 INT
+4 HP
+1 BAB
+1 WILL
+1 LV1 spell; +1 LV2 spell
+7 skill points
Spells learned: Masterwork transformation, flaming sphere

Quinray Quantreant |

Gain +1bab +1reflex HP +6 debilitating injury (I like this), uncanny dodge and a rogue talent I will figure out. Most likely uncanny observer +4 perception.
DM is it worth it? Does it matter in this game. Are skills super important? I think they are.
Possible rogue talents
Trap finding
Increase my attack on arrows
Other stuff for UC Rogue.
+8 skill points
+1 Hp
Have not made changes yet.

** spoiler omitted **

Canny Observer is not +4 perception it is +4 perception in extremely limited circumstances:
Benefit: When a rogue with this talent makes a Perception check to hear the details of a conversation or to find concealed or secret objects (including doors and traps), she gains a +4 bonus.Personally, I'm not a big fan of rogue beyond level 3, maybe 4, primarily because they are not full BAB.

Tirnel Stargazer |

Going to make:
2,000GP Pearl of power lv2 DC8: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
2,000GP Headband of vast intelligence +2 (perception) DC8: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
1,250GP Eyes of the eagle +5 perception DC8: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
150 Scroll of Fox's Cunning (read into spell book)
375 Scroll of Clairaudience-Clairvoyance read DC 6: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25

Quinray Quantreant |

Ok then I will have to decide between
Weapon trying (longbow)
Minor magic all O level spells
Or DM idea
Remember I am just trying to stay alive. I cannot make the perfect double digit character at this point.
Understand the 3 or 4 level, but my character needs to continue and I am the only one who can continue up front this way. Watched Milo challenge only one door.

Quinray Quantreant |

Mother trucker....that's ONE way to flush 2,000GP.
:D
I think I made all changes except for rogue talent.
Randtam was rooting for you. How is your spellcraft? :). ;(

Quinray Quantreant |

F@?$ it. Trap spitting for my rogue talent.

DM Darkvision |

Going to make:
2,000GP Pearl of power lv2 [dice=DC8]1d20+14
2,000GP Headband of vast intelligence +2 (perception) [dice=DC8]1d20+14
1,250GP Eyes of the eagle +5 perception [dice=DC8]1d20+14
150 Scroll of Fox's Cunning (read into spell book)
375 Scroll of Clairaudience-Clairvoyance [dice=read DC 6]1d20+14
Why perception with the headband since it does not stack with skill points you already posses in perception ? Haven't you invested 3 skill points already? Why not a skill that you have less points in?

Probably because I didn't read that part. Changing to stealth.

Vret-Kynn |

Will a belt of physical might work on both Vret and Vret-Kynn? (+2STR/+2DEX)

DM Darkvision |

"While fused with his eidolon, the synthesist uses the eidolon’s physical ability scores (Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution), but retains his own mental ability scores (Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma)."
"While fused with his eidolon, the synthesist can use all of his own abilities and gear, except for his armor."

Vret-Kynn |

Vret-Kynn wrote:Will a belt of physical might work on both Vret and Vret-Kynn? (+2STR/+2DEX)This is why you shouldn't play a synthesist summoner.
This is why yous shouldn't be killing my vanilla archer build. :D
Trust me when I say I have pored through and read more FAQ and Paizo message board posts over this than at any time prior.
I read it the same as you (everything counts but armor), but just want to make sure I am in alignment with the GM. Hate to anger you and face an adventure full of our mightiest foe.....DOORS. ;p

Tirnel Stargazer |

Tirnel will make a belt of physical might for Vret (+2STR/+2CON).
150GP scroll of bear's endurance
150GP scroll of bull's strength
5,000GP belt of physical might DC8: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
1,250GP eyes of the eagle DC8: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31

Vret |

I'm trying to put as much of the calculation into my detail character sheets as possible for Vret and Vret-Kynn. Feel free to double check and make sure I'm not missing anything (I'm sure I am).
It is absolutely a lot to keep track of....

Quinray Quantreant |

Quinray tracked far away from the fort. He arrowed a rabbit for food. He is spending his time to become better.

Tirnel Stargazer |

Quinray should take rouge talent-combat feat-deadly aim http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/deadly-aim-combat/.
It's like power attack for bows. Right now you would take -1 hit/+2 damage on every arrow and at 6th level when your BAB goes to 4 it would be -2/+4.
Or weapon focus longbow +1 hit.
Or now that Milo's gone follow clues for tracking. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/unchained-classes/rogue-unchained/rogue-tal ents/paizo-rogue-talents/follow-clues
Positioning attack to allow you to always be flanking? http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/rogue-talents/paizo-rogu e-talents/positioning-attack-ex
Resiliency given your preponderance for taking damage http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/unchained-classes/rogue-unchained/rogue-tal ents/paizo-rogue-talents/resiliency
Trap spotter would have been hand in the keep. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/unchained-classes/rogue-unchained/rogue-tal ents/paizo-rogue-talents/trap-spotter

Tirnel Stargazer |

Any of the 3 PCs want some magic crafted? In theory I selfishly burned up most of the 2 weeks on my guys but it's only 1 day per 1,000GP (including 2,000 GP of waste on my pearl failure) so maybe the beneficent Darkvision will permit it.

Positioning Attack requires a "melee attack" to set up so not particularly good for a bow specialist. Also can only be used 1/day.
Rogue talent combat feat for deadly aim seems like a solid choice that could be useful almost all the time for a bow specialist.

Wow a new death in d and d DEATH BY RABBIT

Quinray Quantreant |

Question: Does the feat deadly aim multiply with the X 3 crit. So + 6.
Weapon focus +1 long bow every time.
+1 to hit or +2 to damage.
Trying to figure out better to hit or when I hit more damage. Please weigh in with your awesome opinions.
Also can I get keen long bow to expand my crit range.

So you haven't seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

Quinray Quantreant |

Sadly no. Dead a giant rabbit kill someone?
But I shall create a new weapon in Pathfinder. The Keen Bow. Arrows pierce. Tell Legolas his bow is not keen. Or actually tell his foes.

Tirnel Stargazer |

Quinray should have taken the 'Holy Handgrenade' feat. It's the only thing known to defeat creatures with BIG gnashing fangs!
Everyone knows this!
In other news:
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#TOC-Critical-Hits
When you make an attack roll and get a natural 20 (the d20 shows 20), you hit regardless of your target’s Armor Class, and you have scored a “threat,” meaning the hit might be a critical hit (or “crit”). To find out if it’s a critical hit, you immediately make an attempt to “confirm” the critical hit—another attack roll with all the same modifiers as the attack roll you just made. If the confirmation roll also results in a hit against the target’s AC, your original hit is a critical hit. (The critical roll just needs to hit to give you a crit, it doesn’t need to come up 20 again.) If the confirmation roll is a miss, then your hit is just a regular hit.
A critical hit means that you roll your damage more than once, with all your usual bonuses, and add the rolls together. Unless otherwise specified, the threat range for a critical hit on an attack roll is 20, and the multiplier is ×2.
Exception: Precision damage (such as from a rogue’s sneak attack class feature) and additional damage dice from special weapon qualities (such as flaming) are not multiplied when you score a critical hit.

Tirnel Stargazer |

So I would take the weapon focus now and deadly aim at 6th level.
It will help with your rapid shot attacks now and at 6th level you would get +4 damage from the deadly aim.
Rapid shot at 4th level
To hit (x2 arrows)
1d20+5(DEX)+3(BAB)+1(WF)+1(point blank)+1(bracers)-2(rapid shot)
To damage (x2 arrows)
1d8+5(DEX)+1(STR)+1(PB)
So 11 points average per hit.
Rapid shot at 6th level (given current equipment/stats but adjusting for new BAB)
To hit (x2 arrows)
1d20+5(DEX)+4(BAB)+1(WF)+1(point blank)+1(bracers)-2(rapid shot)-2(deadly aim)
To damage (x2 arrows)
1d8+5(DEX)+1(STR)+1(PB)+4(deadly aim)
So 15 points average per hit.

Tirnel Stargazer |

Kentaur/Ibram/Quinray-last chance for you to have me roll a 1 crafting your items or you buying something outright before we move on to the next scene (where Tirnel has secretly learned the art of Stag Helm crafting and puts one on each of your heads whilst you slumber. BUWAHAHAHAHA!).
Any takers?

Quinray Quantreant |

I did not know I could add my Dex to damage. I thought it was only to hit.
Dang it. Let's start all over and add my Dex to all of my hits!
Sadly I do not think that is correct. I hope it is. Am I missing something?
My rapier with weapon finesse gives me +5 Dex damage.

Quinray Quantreant |

Make me something good Tirnel. I have the gold.
