Sarge cuts a seatbelt and tosses it to Sam. She lashes the door shut.
Looking down the street at Anna's building, it seems that you might be able to pull the bus up to the building and climb in a second floor window.
Oh wait, you've arrived... so what will it be?
How do we climb in the second story window, would we have to get out of the bus, climb on the roof and then climb in the window, or is it possible to go straight from the bus through the window? I guess it is the first option.
Cord would prefer to park the bus in a way that we go bus to building with no interaction with the infected that will no doubt soon be filling the streets.
Edit, unless it is possible to use the hatch you mentioned a while ago, that would be his second choice.

Cheap lock. Probably no guns.

A cornucopia of law enforcements accoutrements beckons you. Body armor with "Vancouver Police" in bold white letters, crime scene tape, billy clubs, pylons, road flares, first aid, a crime scene box, loudspeakers, some helmets...
Mike snags a flak vest.
"Well, isn't this f$%#in' ironic."
He goes looking for some spraypaint.

Blues Bothers FTW!
Sam makes sure the door is secure before following the others up onto the roof of the bus. She looks around at the carnage, making sure to have the Beowulf ready to spit Zombie death at a moment's notice. She'll wait until everyone is inside the building and come in last, giving them all cover.

For FlashSpoiler:I just need your action on the Rise of the Kobold King IC, so I can wrap up round 1.

Cord pulls the bus along side the building trying to keep the door against the wall, a 6 inch to 12 inch gap should be close enough. He then puts the bus in neutral applies the brake and turns off the ignition.
"Should I leave the keys in the ignition or bring them with me?" he asks out loud.
He will do which ever option the first person replies.
He then grabs him self a flak vest, putting it on under his fire jacket and switches his fire helmet for a police riot helmet. He helps boost a few people up onto the roof before passing the rifle and axe up and climbing up him self.
With axe in hand he has a cautious look through a couple of the windows that are options for them to use as entry.
Is the power on inside there?
"Anyone got any torches?" he asks as his stomach growls loudly reminding him he hasn't eaten in over 24 hours.

Bus next to building. Through the roof hatch. Walk along the roof of the bus. Climb up into a second story window of Anna's building (after someone smashes it and cleans the glass).
You're a go on that... although you had to destroy some of the beautiful landscaping.
Man this game is racking up posts like a stock boy in fence warehouse.

“Take with,” recommends Judd in relation to the keys. He notes which pocket Cord puts them in … just in case. Then checks his guns, secures the crowbar and opens the hatch, hoisting himself out onto the roof.
When everyone’s done, he’ll find something (maybe a flak jacket or a roll of tape or something) to jam under the hatch, so that it can be closed without locking back into place – something that will stay secure and stop the mechanism from latching.
“Yep, we got some torches,” he says as he works. Then he looks about for a way into the building from here that even ‘civilians’ could make.

Cord takes the keys and puts them in the zipper side pocket on his trousers, he makes a point of showing Dave where he has put them. "Just in case..." he comments as he grimaces.
Cord uses a roll of the police tape on the window before using the handle of his axe to smash it in. The tape should hold a lot of the shards together for safer disposal. He then uses his axe head to clean up the edges before lying his jacket over the bottom of the frame to cover any loose shards, so people don't cut themselves when climbing in or out.
"Job Done" he says as he looks at Johnnie and returns the infectious grin.
He will then cautiously climb into the building and gripping his axe tightly he will scout the room.
I will take a 10 on the spot/listen/perception check, if spot is a separate skill it is 13 and so is listen, if spot and listen are combined it is 16 for both.
Edit: just noticed Mothmans post in the other thread, so it is 16 for my rolls.

A few people nervously watch from the nearby buildings as everyone piles into the window of a second floor condo.
"F$!$ING LOOTERS!" someone shouts anonymously.
Inside, it's tastefully decorated in an eclectic style, looks empty and well cared for, except (as you pass the kitchen) it's as if someone went through the cabinets in a panic recently.

"Keep an eye open for a phone book that might have her name and address in it," suggests Cord, "unless we can raise her on the phone and ask Anna herself?" "We can use the land line to save the juice on your mobiles," he suggests.
Cord will check all the rooms carefully to ensure this apartment is empty before listening at the door to the corridor (he assumes it is a corridor out side the door).
Just in case we can't get hold of Anna is it likely that the front entrance to this building will have:
a) A buzzer with a list of names and apartment residents or
b) A front desk (normally) manned by a security guard that will have a list of residents.

Cords head snaps round as he glares at Mike, "Jesus Christ, why not cover yourself in barbecue sauce and throw yourself to the horde of infected! If those idiots want to advertise their location, let them....
He looks a little sheepish about his outburst, "Ahhh, heck Mike, I'm sorry, I'm just a bit tired and high strung, can we all try and keep the volume down?"
Dave Judd
Judd shakes his head, looking worried, then lowers the phone from his ear and pulls the gas mask back into place.
“I can’t get her,” he says. “Yeah, good idea Cord, there might be a directory board or something around. Or a phone book.”
He looks about. Have we busted into someone’s unit, or are we in a corridor or public space?
Samantha Bastian
Sam will follow everyone out. She'll go last to cover their rear, making sure to walk in a way so as to have at least peripheral vision behind the group, if not outright walking backwards. With corridors and appartment doors all over the place it's an ambush in a box waiting to happen.

And fire off Beowulf every now and then, scaring the living s$%% out of everyone.
In the hall
Amazingly, the electricity is still on. The hallway is lighted.
While the condo reeks of money, the hallway reeks of condo fees.
There is bloodspray here and and there on the wallpaper... and a few pools of blood. Some drag marks lead you to the elevator.

A smile still plastered on his face, Johnnie points his shotgun at every shadow. He giggles, "He he he," and places finger before his lips for silence. "Shhhh."
Johnny's giggling lends an eerie tenor to the chilling clues you find in the hall.
That's almost exactly what I did the first time I smoked up. But without the gun and zombies.

Sure, you find a phonebook in the apartment. There are 167 Chos, what was her father's name again?
How many Chos have this condo listed as their address?
"Every one remember the apartment number," he whispers over his shoulder as they enter the corridor.
Cord will be pretty near the front, taking point if no one else is, with the rifle slung over his shoulder and his axe in his hands.
He doesn't fancy the elevator, so he will look for the emergency stairs instead.
At every intersection he will halt and listen before peering around the corner, taking 10's for a total of 16.

Everyone else is with you on this? That's a long climb. Anyone here ever climb 9-15 flights of stairs?
Cord Vogel
"I honestly think elevators are a bad idea, but I will go with the flow if the rest of you don't fancy a hike up the stairs" comments Cord, "I just don't fancy the door opening and a hoard of the infected piling in with no where for us to go." He gives a little shudder as he remembers a particularly harrowing radio transmission from a few days ago.
has there been any chatter on any of the radios? I have one set to my station houses channel and another one set to scan the frequencies to see if it can pick up any communications. I'll turn them off now to prevent any sudden bursts of sound alerting the infected in the building.
