"Pat, you cover me. I'm gonna head down there and see what's going on."
With that, Sam takes a deep breath and heads down the corrdor into the area behind the freezers (#17), the Beowulf held up in front of her and her finger on the trigger ready for anything that may jump out at her.
Basically she will just head as far down the corridor as she can go.

Everyone hears gunshots coming from inside the store.
Sam:
Mike:
Johnny:
Sarge:
Judd:

Sam comes around the corner and stops dead (hopefully not a poor choice of words) as she sees someone's head pop up in front of her.
"Holy sh!t. Stop right there and come out with your hands up. I don't want to hurt you, but if you try anything funny I will put you down!"
She makes sure to train the Beowulf on the person in front of her.

Dave Judd |

Hearing gunfire, Judd drops the last few feet to the ground and rushes to the door, where he almost bumps into Sarge who is looking nervously down the corridor.
“What was that? You guys ok?” he asks anxiously, checking the safety on his pistol. Pat shrugs, indicates that Sam is further down the corridor, and then starts forward when her voice comes faintly up the hall.
Judd stays where he is, training his pistol around the stockroom. He doesn’t know if there’s a quick way out of the corridor, but there’s no exits in the stretch he can see, and he figures they don’t want to get cut off and stuck down there. Hopefully Sam and Pat can handle whatever Sam’s talking to.
Prepares an action to shoot if he sees any nasties.

Samantha Bastian |

He charges you, filleting knife in hand, take your shot.
"Mother Fncker!"
Sam sees the guy come racing towards her with a knife and lets fly with a bullet straight to the face.Target .50 Calibre Bullet in face of Lunatic A. (1d20+5=25)
Confirm Critical Hit on face of Lunatic A. (1d20+5=17)
Damage caused by .50 Calibre Bullet exploding through face of Lunatic A. (2d12=23, 2d12=18)
Kruel. I factored in Point Blank Shot +1. If he's not within 30ft (which I think he is, but just in case) then my total is only 24 (although I got a 20, so I'm guessing that's gonna be an auto hit). Also that means that my confirmation of Critical would only be a 16, which I think is what you said we needed for a head shot (although I'm not sure that this guy is a Z, so that might not fly).

Sam:
The image etches itself permanently into Sam's memory.
Running straight for her, time slows, the gun kicks but not hard enough to throw her eye off the target, giving her, for just an instant, a clear view right through the man's skull just before it explodes in a mist of bone shards, brains, and blood.
As the body continues forward with its own momentum, stepping once more, perhaps with nerve impulses sent before his brain disappeared, Sam worries that he might keep going.
But finally he goes slack and slumps to the floor, his filleting knife skidding another ten feet as his veins and arteries drain out into he freezer access hallway.

Mike and Johnny:
There are no doors on the driver's side of the van. Mike can enter through the back door, right sliding door, or right passenger door.
Mike has time to reach the van AND open a door. Or he can stay with his back tot he driver's side, as I take his description above. The two of you see the following:
Seconds after Mike reaches the van and turns to see if he was pursued his fear is confirmed, the lunatic rounds the corner, scrambling a little to get traction on the sharp turn that takes him out the grocery store entryway. He slows as he clears the inside door, looking straight at Mike, and screams with fury.
You two are looking at him through the plate glass of the entryway. I've got Mike backed up against the van with weapons drawn and Johnny leaning out the window with the shottie in his lap calling for Mike to get in. Unless Mike is at the very back of the van the line of fire goes through the heavy plate glass diagonally so I think one of you needs to blast out the window first if you're going to shoot him. Or you can use a triggered action and cover the outside doors.

Can I ram him?

Samantha Bastian |

Sam looks at the body laying in front of her, eyes wide at what she's done. She has a sinking feeling in her stomach that she's just killed a man and not some creature. A tear gathers at the corner of her eye, threatening to fall, but she manages to control herself and turn away. She walks back down the corridor towards Dave and Patrick with the Beowulf lowered. She gives them a half smile as she walks past without saying anything.
She heads over to the lunch room and then to the sink, splashing some water on her face from the tap.

Sgt. Curtin |

“Sarge, did she get it?” calls Dave, glancing back over his shoulder at Patrick. “Any more of ‘em about? Who was it who shot before?”
Dave will hold his position for now, hoping for some answers.
Patrick looks over at Dave, his face greenish
"Oh yeah, she got it. Keep alert, there might be more."
Tripping the WT
"We got issues here! Status Alex and Johnnie! You folks OK?"
Turning to the two others.
"I'm going out into the main area. Someone shot right before this all went down. Dave stick with Sam, I think she'll need a wingman for now."
Patrick moves off towards the main store
I am headed for the main store area to check out the earlier gunshot. If I don't hear from Alex or Johnnie back quickly I will assume they are under attack and try to move in quietly for surprise.

Samantha Bastian |

She puts her hand on Daves hand and gives it a squeeze.
"That's just it Dave, I don't think that guy was a Zombie. He just didn't move like one. I think that I just shot a person in cold blood. It was hard shooting Zombies, but in a way it was like we were freeing them from that existence. This was just... I don't know. It just feels not right somehow."
She leans her head on Dave's shoulder and lets out a short sob.
She quickly gets her composure back and thanks Dave for his help. She then puts her mask back on and heads back out into the store room with the Beowulf held casually. She doesn't look at the corridor, instead heading out into the shop to see what is going on with the others.

Mike O'Neill |

"Guys, we got a situation here!" Johnnie shouts over the WT.
Cue in the Queen music, just like in Shaun of the Dead.
As the crazed zombie-man runs toward the van, Mike makes one last-ditch effort to down the bastard before retreating to the safety of the van. Leveling both of his pistols, Boondock Saints -style, he squeezes off two shots. The Glock shoots wide (attack: 9 + 4 - 2 = 11), but the shot from the magnum is a dead hit (attack: 15 + 3 - 2 = 16; damage: 2d8 = 10).
"KICK OUT THE JAMS, M&!@#&+!##!%! GET THE F@&@ OUT!"

Kruelaid |

"KICK OUT THE JAMS, MOTHERf#%!ER! GET THE f#%! OUT!"
The magnum rips a hole in his shoulder and he goes does like a shot of tequila on spring break. He's laying on the ground groaning. A pool of blood slowly expands around the already bloody man. His face is turned away from you.
As Sarge clears the stock room doors he hears two shots one after the other outside. Keeps moving. He get's to the front door only to find another crime scene. His face is turned toward you, toward the doors, and his eyes are closed.
He begins groaning.

Dave Judd |

“Shiiit…” breathes Dave. “Not a zombie? But listen … you trained as a cop, I know you wouldn’t shoot to kill unless you thought your life was in danger. There were a lot of bad guys around before there were zombies … Anyway, we better get out there.”
The two of them head through the shop to catch up with Pat.

Samantha Bastian |

“Shiiit…” breathes Dave. “Not a zombie? But listen … you trained as a cop, I know you wouldn’t shoot to kill unless you thought your life was in danger.
Sam talks as they walk.
"Yeah I've trained for it, but now that I've experinced it, there's a big difference between the training and the reality. I can only assume that people get used to it, but right now I just feel terrible, like I want to throw up."
Kruelaid |

"He's human! We're gonna need first aid here!"
Johnny steps out of the van, but keeps a safe distance from the fallen man. He points one of the thermographs at him -
"This guys skin temp is almost 40. I don't know how he's functioning."
Johnny pulls out the iosopropyl and sets it on the ground near the driver's seat. He shouts at the man:
"HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INFECTED?"
