A nice place to sleep indoors until Volreg gets a proper bedroll would be nice, as he only has a blanket, but he will go with which ever the group decides.

I have Tasha's hideous laughter x2 and can spam daze, both Wisdom saves, so might be useful, prob more useful than my +2 spear attack.

Daze can be pretty potent at level 1, especially on low will save peoples.

Also, if anyone has light, they can cast it on a bolt that I can blind fire into the cave so we could get some images to fire at.

Yes, he still hit with the -4 penalty.


You mentioned the Gnolls were hiding in the cave. We could send Lord P. in to find their locations and distract them :-)

Ouch! Those hyenas bite hard...and like to trip what they bite! If you can finish them off, though, the gnolls seem determined to hide in their cave and wait for you to walk into their ambush... You might be able to kill off their watchdogs, retreat and heal up without being pursued, and return the next day to finish the job... Unless you can quickly heal up with magic and finish off the gnolls today...

At any rate, if you survive and kill off all the gnolls and hyenas, you will gain enough XP to advance to 2nd level! Not to mention enough gold to purchase upgrades to gear and mounts for an overland desert trek...

As per the headers: Atlin took 6 pts damage putting him at 3, Wulfgar took 9 points of damage putting him at 4 and Sulayman took 6 points of damage, he doesn't have his header updated but that would put him at 6.

@ Altin, As far as I'm concerned go ahead and take the 4,

Actually Wulfgar and Sulayman should take the heals, if either of you drops we're in trouble. I'll go back to the middle rear and stick to spells and bow.

Very true! It might hurt the pride of our strong Wulfgar, but it would be best if we maybe do some hit and run tactics, or wait a few days.


if we wait, odds are the hyena we ran off will be back and we will be in the same spot, the hyena will warn the gnolls then attack us. We may as well deal with them now.

I think so too Wulfgar, although we should try to guarantee a path of retreat. Perhaps we could shoot at the around the corner of the entrance, with cover? Try to at least weaken their front line.


I thought the sprite described them as setting an ambush. we should let lord P scout ahead tell us where they are hiding, and blast/shoot them. if they run out give them a way of escape, Wulfgar will try and AOO them.

Now we just need a marching order.
