The World's Most Interesting GM |

We talk about stuff here. But before we do, if everyone could please provide me with the following info:
Player Name
Character Name
PFS #
Faction
Day Job Roll (if any)
Level Progression Speed (slow or standard)
Initiative Modifier
Perception Modifier
Sense Motive Modifier
... And then ghost dot in on the Gameplay thread with the character you are playing so that this game shows up on your campaign page.
A few quick notes This is a Classic/Standard-mode game, not CORE. It is a Tier 1-5 game, so your character must between 1st and 5th level to play.
I am not a pushy GM, but I would like to finish on time. I hate botting people. I'll do it at need, but I have enough NPCs to play as it is. In general, I don't put your character in front of the next door they have to kick down, and I certainly don't kick it down for them. That's called: writing a novel. We're here to game. Your character can do as they like (or not) within the game world. You guys are the heroes here, you move the story. I'm just the guide.
Stay thirsty my friends.

GM Hmm pointed me towards the PFS Chapter of Myth Weavers. I highly recommend it too!

The World's Most Interesting GM |

In regard to the last few weeks of message board outages, I'm gonna hope that for their sake as well as ours that Paizo either has a new server, or a new IT department and a new server in-place before October 6th (our new official start date).
However, if folks really want to move off-site we do have time to plan and prepare for that contingency right now. So anyone up for that? If so where?

![]() |

I've used a combination of Google Hangouts, Myth Weavers and Google Slides to run a 2e playtest while I waited for Paizo's servers to recover.
I'm fine with sticking or switching, I'll continue to hope the site stabilizes.

![]() |

I'm with Aiden. I like the idea of hangouts and slides since you can roll dice there and also keep logs that we could copy-paste here when the site comes back?

![]() |

Hangouts and slides would be a low-impact alternative for most people. I've heard Myth-weavers has a significant learning curve. The biggest thing would be to ensure everyone has access to their character off the forums. I have them in herolab, but some people may want to at least copy/paste into notepad or Word.
Still, my first preference is to stay here.

![]() |

10min intro does not equal significant learning curve! ;)

![]() |

Me, I'd much rather stay here; it seems to have stabilized anyways.

![]() |

I think I have fully converted to Myth Weavers at this point. I'm not missing the website eating half my posts and having to copy all my posts before I submit them! :)

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Just a quick heads up, the October 1st start date for GameDay VII session 2 has been moved to October 6th to accommodate last month's website outages. To keep it simple, (as the messageboard hasn't imploded recently) we will be staying on the Paizo site. Sorry Caydonson. May all our gameplay posts not be eaten.
We might unofficially start the RP and mission brief sometime in between the dates listed above as the scenario is relatively complex and PCs might want to lay in some extra equipment, so stay tuned. ;)

![]() |

I don't mind the Paizo site when it works! :P

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Heads up folks. I should have some stuff up this weekend.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Elianna our elf magus will not be joining us so I have sent the word out to find a replacement starting with the waitlist.

EvilMinion |
well, a spot has been offered, as apparently I was first on the list...
But right now, you guys are sitting exactly at APL 3.
The only chars I have in tier, are level 5... which would push it up.
Unsure which direction you folks are looking to go (I don't mind passing if you'd rather go down)
And, given up, what sort of PC you might want to fill things out, as I've no idea what this scenario entails! =)
Currently, I have available:
Human Investigator 5
Human Telekineticist 5
Nagaji Brawler 5

![]() |

I don't mind playing up. And Reggie just finished a game but may not get the chronicle sheet in time. If he does, he'll be pushed up to 3rd level, which would push up the APL, too.
A skill monster might be good. Or a standing frontliner. Reggie and Rowdy can hold a line but don't dish out a lot of damage.
It looks like we have a blaster and you really only need 1.

I'm not giving away much by saying the adventure is RP-heavy, so it is best to choose a character you feel comfortable playing, even if they don't exactly fit or even have ranks in the holy trinity of social interaction (Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidation).
Skills are useful. Hitting stuff is useful too.
The adventure also involves side-quests for the Dark Archive and Liberty Edge factions.
Reggie, you've got a pair of "Male Halflings" in your character's subheader/tagline.

![]() |

Aiden just got out of a game in time. He's a skill guy, but not necessarily a knowledge guy. He's also a melee debuffer. If we get into a scrape, expect him to be dishing out conditions like blind, shaken, entangled, etc.
He's a bit squishy though, relying on his opponents to be at a disadvantage to help him survive.

It's haiku, but adjusted for being in the opposite hemisphere...like a mirror, see? American Haiku...
Welcome big brawler
I hope your fists are mighty
I'm bad at haiku

![]() |

heh.
His last 3 scenarios were all the Solstice Scar specials (A-C) ... each of which has an option to learn a free language for 2 PP. He already knew draconic of course, but has picked up both orcish and sylvan via the chronicles.
Orcish I've decided comes out as limericks. Still haven't figured out the sylvan style.
Not to mention its hard to come up with a background reason for why someone might talk like this!

Player Name Aaron
Character Name 575
PFS # 84637-20

Initiative Modifier +2
Perception Modifier +8
Sense Motive Modifier +4

are we actually not starting until the 6th?
Are some folks still occupied?
Well, there's me for instance. :)
I'll start us up later today with the preliminaries.

Out of Anarchy purchases (before arrival to Pezzack): fisherman's outfit (traveler's outfit), fisherman's hat (hat), fishing net, fishing kit, wading boots, disguise kit, camouflage netting (urban), pipe (calumet), tobacco.

![]() |

Give me some prices, and I'll tack in onto your chronicle. Most of the items on the list can be purchased from the Pixie's quartermaster, this guy.
"WHAT IN THE NINE HELLS DO YOU WANT LUBBER!?"
For some reason the stores aboard are always full.

![]() |

Wading Boots, 50 gp
Fisherman's Hat (i.e. reskinned Hat, 1 sp)
Fisherman's Outfit (i.e. reskinned Traveler's Outfit, 1 gp - unless an actual Fisherman's Outfit is available somewhere!)
Fishing Net, 4 gp
Fisherman's Pipe (i.e. reskinned Calumet, 20 gp)
Disguise Kit, 50 gp
Camouflage Netting (Urban), 20 gp
Tobacco, 1gp

So is Xanac to be considered hidden aboard ship for the last few weeks as a stowaway unknown to all?

The World's Most Interesting GM |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

If all this isn't enough I need folks to, paste your character's name next to one of the numbers here. Feel free to argue amongst yourselves about it. There are free virtual baseball bats with nails stuck in them over on the recruitment page provided for this very use.

Sounds like him.

People like it apparently, just not enough to actually use it. It's a bit like bardic performance buffs, or universal health care. Is this better?

Reggie is normally a good front liner, but he's on the low end of the tier and he's not going to have any armor, and he's fast so he'll take slot 4.
Also, he's going to buy saddle bags for 4gp and stuff all his own and Rowdy's armor in it. At least then it'll be close.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Sounds like this is the order, then?
MARCHING ORDER
1. 575
2. Aiden Richter
3. Aquavius
4. Reggie
5. Candledark
6. Xanac
We'll run with this as our guide for now. This will be my general default with exceptions based on circumstance. Feel free to fiddle with it during the game as needed.

So the party has spent 125 gp in questions on Gold Street. If the party can throw together that much in gear then Aiden can hold on to his expensive potion. Otherwise, if anyone has more questions for Cessia, now's your chance.

![]() |

If anyone else has questions, then ask them. Aiden can foot the bill and receive any 'change' in trade goods. I used that potion specifically because it's less useful now that Aiden has a belt of Str.

![]() |

Aiden: Boratio was about to donate 10gp (5 daggers) but you completely blew my coolness factor out of the water by putting that expensive potion swag on the table!
125gp divided by 6 is about 21gp per share so I don't mind paying that amount to your character at the end of the scenario (GM please put a note on my chronicle sheet for transfer of funds to Aiden- thank you!)
In regards to the scenario: even though I ran this about a year ago at my FLGS, I have no idea what to do next. This GM here has done a much better job than me with the NPCs and the plot in general, so much that it looks like a completely different scenario than mine! Also, due to sandbox nature no two running of this mod will look the same. The only suggestion I might have is to go see the places we haven't seen yet before we spend another week of real-time play at Auntie's... as cool as it would be... :)
