Are we able to give gold to each other? If so, I'll chip in my share, too.
You can give gear to the pot to give to Cessia (or any of the other merchants in town). After five years of being mostly cut off from the rest of the world people in Pezzack deal in trade goods not coin. One of the major themes of this adventure is making difficult choices, which can be character defining. Boots or bread?

The problem is that Aiden sunk all of our battleships with that tactical nuke of his! lol

Heads up! The latest thing wrong with the website is that it doesn't put that little red dot up at the top of the screen warning you that you have a private message.
I say this for no particular reason. ;)
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
Boy a red dot would be great to have right about now.... I'm just sayin'.

Super-duper sorry for the prolonged absence. I was feeling extra-terrible for a bit there.

I know, I live in the U.S. just now too you know.

You realize it's been an Inferno in more ways than one for a lot longer than "just now", right?
I was there for last year's eclipse, and seeing the true face of Pluto was awesome, but other than that? Token progress in a few veins doesn't make up for massive net degradation (much of it gratuitously self-inflicted by idiot panic), and you can bloody well KEEP your damned 21st Century!
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
And its damn cures for cancer and such! Why, I remember when we had good, honest things like twigs and small pox!

I don't recall seeing that happen yet....

The 20th Century eliminated smallpox - because THAT was a century!

I dunno, the 21st century's got a few advantages over the 20th. My sister in law got to marry the woman she loved. My white self and my black wife have been able to get married and have a kid without being arrested. People who contract AIDS can survive for decades. We got a President who didn't look like he came from the exact same slot of The President Vending machine. The Supreme Court Justice who conducted sexual misconduct actually came close to not being confirmed unlike the last Supreme Court Justice who conducted sexual misconduct. 90% of my bosses have been women. Disco didn't survive...

To be clear...from a metagame perspective, I can think of several reasons why we shouldn't be splitting the party (the most obvious being that it's a bad idea to split the party) but Reggie is of the "leave no stone unthrown" mentality. He finds this place particularly offensive and would love to see at least a full scale riot going on.

Wish granted.

I did acknowledge "token progress in a few veins" - it just won't amount to much if the hard-earned victories of last century get maliciously erased and the whole world is reduced to oodly-doodly totalitarian stew.
My white self and my black wife have been able to get married and have a kid without being arrested.
Where I'm from, at least, that (and a couple of the other things) is nothing new. :)
All bearing in mind, of course, that (and I consider this one of the scariest things I have ever learned) 'history' and 'time' turn out not to be the same.

BOOOOOONS!
Time to roll for boons!
Here comes the BOON! 1d20 ⇒ 18
Roll a d20. If you get 19 or 20 you get a boon! If you do, roll a d4 to determine which of the 4 wonderful boons you receive.
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
Those aren't 19 or 20. Are you adding in your character's bonus to books?
I understand the books are pretty nice. One gives your PC a +5 bonus against lactose intolerance.

I think Aiden meant his roll to be an Aid Another for you, so...Congratulations!
Not as bad as the table I had for Assault on Absalom, I think three of us rolled 18's.
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
I have an admission to make. I've rolled three 19's (out of 7 total games) followed by a 1, 2, and 4 this GameDay, meaning that I will never win a billion dollar lottery.

So in order to induce folks to figure out what they are about in the two nebulous periods of time you have before bedtime on the gameplay thread and thereby inform me as to how many Prestige Points I should be handing out and reporting, I offer this:
IF YOU REPORT BY NOVEMBER 19th, WE WILL INCLUDE YOUR ENTIRE TABLE IN A LOTTERY FOR PAIZO GIFT CERTIFICATES!

Yes please go ahead with this. You have my blessing and/or my vote for this. Thx!

Sorry I didn't get back to you on this. Concentration checks are not technically skill checks (any more... see the 3.5 edition of the World's Most Popular RPG). So not usually, I'm willing to make an exception here though since technically Poppo is 'driving' the whale as well.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Even if you don't celebrate Black Friday Eve as we do here it's always nice to get together with folks and have big meal--and maybe some gaming afterwards.

Everyone got enough anarchy for the holidays?
Aquavius
|
Oof, this is a tough encounter. I'm gonna try to save Aiden's brain, but this makes me the next priority target for everyone's favorite arsonist. And then the brain slug gets 2 targets to feast upon. We gotta corner that caster and pop those mirror images ASAP.
I'm assuming the water is shallow enough our movement isn't impeded.

Yes.

Anyone who is unconscious accepts my Raging Song automatically. This may boost their Con and may give them the HP to stay conscious.
Huh, Sudden Barbarian Death Syndrome is even more dangerous than I thought. I didn't think about that until I made a Skald, haha.

On the upside...she has to run out of spells eventually...
"Uh uh. I know what you're thinking. 'Did she fire two fireballs or only one?' Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is fireball, the most powerful spell in the journeyman evoker's repertoire and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
That's exactly what she (and Olandil too) was thinking when she got you to move there. Brains baby, no idiot sorcerer could have pulled that off. Oh, and you'll notice she doesn't have bunny in her pocket....
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
Now's the time for some 'strategery.'
Aquavius
|
Yes. Well.
We need to surround her so she starts provoking AoOs.
Or we need to separate and pelt her with ranged attacks so she can't focus fire.
Unfortunately, this is a cramped room, so we should melee her.
I say the Son of Cayden channels once to keep us alive just in case I'm KOed, and then 575, Aiden and myself play Rock em Sock em robots with this lady in the corner of the ship.
While Olandil stays far away from the crazy fire lady. (seriously blinded guy, what was your plan?)
Son of Cayden
|
I can't channel, sorry.
Aquavius
|
Riiiight, you're a bard...
Umm.... Uhh...
Welp, please kill her in my name. I'd prefer a burial at sea, of course.
Does anyone have something that can bypass her images? A save or suck spell? I did see Candledark attempt Spontaneous Immoliation before falling and going blind. Any illusions so she wastes a turn not fireballing us?
Aquavius

Good news, Candledark: I do have Saving Finale . If I stop inspiring, I can give you a reroll.
Bad news, Candledark: I'd have to stop Inspiring Rage, which would remove our Con bonus. Which would leave me staggered. Also Aiden and Rowdy would be in the negatives.
Hey Son of Cayden, do you have this spell handy?
