Where do y'all stand on timing for the next campaign?
I ask because my availability to contribute meaningfully in the next month or two is extremely limited. This is probably the busiest and most taxed I've ever been.
In the past two weeks, I have:
bought out my partner's practice
bought more commercial real estate
hired a new dentist
bought a house
sold a boat
bought my wife a car
halfway gotten my house ready to go on market
all while working longer hours than usual and having a three month baby scream in my ear all night. The legal and financial work required to do all this has been just truly exhausting. And we're still about a month away from easy sailing again.
Once we get my house ready for market, we are moving to our river cabin until we can move into the new house, minimum 5 weeks. I'll have limited time and internet to post, not to mention the mental endurance to just get up early enough to participate.
I would say that if y'all are wanting to get started within the next month, count me out of this next adventure- I would only slow you down and probably wind up getting raped by an ogre (if Igar is in a benevolent mood). I don't know the mechanics of these campaigns, but if I don't participate in this next one I hope I can rejoin in the future.

A campaign lasts well more than a month. I know how much you enjoy the PBP. I suggest we (me and the PCs) bot Bulgard as necessary until things calm down for him. No need for a rape whistle. I posted earlier in discussion that I have chilled on post rate. I like that. Whatever rate is good for the PCs is good for me.

Rhen Vemsa |

What ever works for Bulgard, I mean if he misses out on RP and you Igar have to pick up more work since you are running all the baddies and NPCs plus Bulgard is a lot of work.
Totally up to Igar.

Shoot give me a day to level my family came into town and I haven't been able to level or buy gear. Is there anything that we need as a group? Also did me distribute any of the loot that we got?

Igar The Terrible |

No rush on the level up. IRL it may take up to two weeks before you need that. We need to get you to Almas to buy stuff you can't get in Falcon's Hollow. Then, we do the transition into the next module. Then, the introduction of the next module. You will not really need to be leveled up until the first encounter of that module. My personal concern about what you do not have does not kick in until three modules from now (Hungry are the dead). That will be very interesting.

Grokar |

Almost done with purchases and leveling. Question about settlement size. It says that we can only go up to CL 4, but we are heading to Almas right? Can I wait to get something there that is CL 5?

Igar The Terrible |

You can still get to Almas via the keelboat. It is still evening and you are at the Sitting Duck. If you make it to the docks mid morning tomorrow, you can still get on the boat. And, if you somehow miss it, you can certainly find another way to get there or to a closer territory that has what you need.

Igar The Terrible |

So here is where we are and where we are headed. I used my PBP time (and then some) to get a good plan and simulate various modules. That is good as RL is about to lay into me in a big way with no end in sight. If we live long enough, this is the plan.
3-wingclipper <====went on way longer than I anticipated (almost a year). Turned out to be a near perfect challenge at the end.
4-pallid <===should be a quick level up
5-revenge <===challenging
6-hungry <====you may well not survive this or flee and return
7-The beggar's Pearl (6-7) <======you become heros to Rhen's motherland
8-Hall of Drunken Heros (7-8)(10-11) <=======awesome module

Igar The Terrible |

Not sure why he decided to do that, but it is for the best. You are not equipped to deal with incorporeal and that is why I thought you might not make it through Hungry are the Dead. The two classes he was considering can deal with that, so this is a good thing. I know we will all miss Zevon, but I am sure his replacement will be as good or better.

Igar The Terrible |

I am willing to do a playtest pbp. The ones I have seen so far in pbp just do not get the new rules in a big way. The survey and reactions are similar to my findings when I ran a party through the first encounter. The bad guys are way over powered for the group. My party lost a rogue to the deadly bow critical and would have been outright dead with the current rules. Instead, she went to dying and the cleric healed her.
Any interest from you guys on doing that? It would be heavy on discussion and slow on play as the purpose would be to learn the new rules correctly.

FYI-customer service said this in another thread
My recommendation would be to copy/paste posts into a text editor or something before clicking the submit post, especially for longer posts. I think things are stabilizing, but it might be a bit of a bumpy ride for a bit (think turbulence warnings from your pilot. We don't expect anymore wild drops in altitude, but buckle your seat belts and leave your tray tables and seat backs upright and locked just in case).

Zevon Vierding |

Wow... so may I know post Zevon's exit. As for the playtest, I will defer on that one, but i don't know how keen I am on learning a new set of rules. Just let me know if I need to retool the new character.

Grokar |

Sorry I checked back Tuesday but didn't have time to post, then yesterday it was down with some regular maintenence. The little goblin pulling the cords out of the computer. Anyway, glad we are back.

Igar The Terrible |

Rhen, it looks like you will be the only interest from this group. I know Bulgard does not have time to learn the new rules. He was never a rules guy anyway. Zevon (Garfok) is not into it at this point, and Grokar showed no interest. Please join me at the playtest campaign discussion.

Igar The Terrible |

Yes, Grokar. You and Rhen are all I have at this moment. Glad to hear that. The rules are completely different. Please get up to speed on the new rules, but do not read the campaign. That is how I did it and it was really fun. Grokar, if you know anyone who is interested, just say so. I am reluctant to recruit, but you saw me nab you in 1.5 hrs.
Just one more player minimum over there as I am willing to do a pc. Two more would be awesome. Still have to speak to our biggest lurking fan.
