Block initiative works better than the regular in PBP in my opinion, so I'm more than fine using it. And if GM could have initiative tracker in his combat posts, all the smoother.

BTW, how does energy damage work against things with hardness? I remember there been some confusion in my games...
Is the energy damage always halved before applying hardness ? (maybe not fire damage if these things have a weakness)

And yeah, another enthusiastic hurrah for block initiative. You might even want to extend it, GM, to identical enemies like these so a first turn would go:

Senemheb and Djehuti who won initiative.
-
All the baddies.
-
Then the entire party, rolling round 1 into round 2.
-
Baddies again.
-
Whole party again and round it goes.

Granted, there is a certain danger in having all enemies effectively act together, but that's a sacrifice I know some go for in the name of smoother play. Still, I'm not at all opposed to how things are run now.

As for the hardness question, Senemheb, the hardness score is apparently subtracted from all damage, including energy, although vulnerabilities are apparently an exception. Hardness is incredibly poorly utilized as a term in PF, the same word describing at least two completely unrelated forms of damage mitigation. I had to look this up for Iron Gods.

Was kind of thinking of our explorations in-game while we went to the House on the Rock!

Now I wanna put an Osiriani merchant's tomb in Golarion full of strange art installations and collections of junk that say more about the occupant's eccentricities than the history of Osirion. :P

Question for the crew: for rolls the entire party needs to make - such as for whatever the mirror is about to inflict on Djefedre - should I just make the rolls myself to save time or would y'all feel better doing it yourselves?

Eh, I'm fine with either option. Which is to say that I generally prefer rolling my own saves, but can see how the GM doing so is definitely more expedient.

Either way is fine. It might take a day or two for all the players to roll, so sometimes it might speed up to have GM rolling.

I'd go with DM rolling group saves if everybody needs to roll. That way everybody can post reactions when they post.

I didn't realize they were solifugids on first glance. That's sad, solifugids are cute, with their big doofy chelicerae and teeny little eyes!


I'm letting you use hero points to make me reroll enemies attack rolls or saving throws.

LOL, none of us have Knowledge (nature)! It's a good thing Jolánka plans on being a knowledge check machine in the future...


FYI, I have been placing characters where I think they are based on folks' posts. If I start combat with them in the wrong spot, let me know and/or move them to where they'd be according to you. I.e. Djehuti being on the platform and thus being hit by the electric part of the trap.


Also, @Amal, prone is prone. Feel free to flavor things like that.

So, if 21 "barely hits", Senemheb will probably need nat 20 to hit it from cover. And his spells and power do nothing against a construct. So, I might switch to aiding attacks instead...

I read it as it was barely damaged, not barely hit, but that could be me.

Unfortunately DR and Hardness are really tough to deal with at low-levels.
Since we're using the EitR rules the melee crew can use Power Attack and that's why Djedefre tried to assist Amal's to hit. Unfortunately Djedefre only succeeded in almost stabbing his own foot...


@Senemheb, there is no cover for the iron cobra, no worries.

@Djedefre, no I meant "barely passed the AC", lol.

I'd allow climbing on top of the sarcophagus, treat it like difficult terrain?

Special Ability:

Uncanny Dodge: At 2nd level, a bloodrager can react to danger before his senses would normally allow him to do so. He cannot be caught flat-footed, nor does he lose his Dexterity bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. He still loses his Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. A bloodrager with this ability can still lose his Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses the feint action against him.
