May I remind you that there was another door, back in the big room with the odd humanoids, and you also need to report back to their leader to reap your reward.

Pire Spipden |

Pire grimaces, before stowing his book, shaking his head. Sighing, he turns back to the group. "Well, I don't think we're getting in that way. We do need to pick up the reward Sef promised. I'm curious what the "five card" she mentioned is. C'mon."

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Aye, sounds like a plan, but I think they might try a double cross
Druneor then follows along with the group.

![]() |

As it happens, the skulk is appreciative of your help and gives you the agreed-upon reward, a bag of 49 silverdisks (each worth 10 gp) and five strange cards. They are made of a flexible, smooth material that is unlike any wood you have ever seen. Each bears a brown stripe across it's surface.
In addition, she tells you that "Purple hair seeks these."
With your look of confusion, she elaborates. "Purple-hair, rat-people, and orc come. Make deal with skulks to kill anyone who follow, then go same way you go. Purple-hair looking for these, but we not have any when she come."
"After purple-hair, others follow. We kill some, but next comers kill leader and steal treasure. They go through wall there," she says, pointing east. "Find treasure and leave."
"Others come and we let pass. They go through wall. Not return. Then group that kill leader come back. We not fight and they go through wall again. Not return."

Druneor Hammerstriker |

So you will not stop us from going through that wall ?
Druneor points to the east.

![]() |

The skulk shakes her head. "We will not stop. You do us favor."

Cheshire Silvanshee |

Cheshire puts a hand on Fuzzles' shoulder which seems to deflate some tension in both of them.

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Lead on Druneor says, as he steps off in the easterly direction.

A smooth wall of dark gray metal bisects the cavern here, its expanse pitted and scorched but quite solid looking. A strange, circular opening pierces the wall five feet off the ground, allowing access to some sort of hallway on the other side.
The walls, floor and ceiling of this slightly curved hallway are made of smooth dark gray metal. Panels of lighter material run along the ceiling eight feet above. To the north and south the tunnel is blocked by walls of metal junk and rubble, while open doorways yawn to the east and west.
To the east, through the open doorway, stands a creature not unlike the one that you encountered in Khonnir's workshop, though in decidedly better condition. It remains stoically silent and unmoving.

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Agree'ed, the first one, seemed more luck than skill
Druneor pauses a bit away from the construct, and keeps himself ready in case the thing turns hostile.

![]() |

The thing does not move, nor does it react to your presence in any way.

![]() |

Its arms look as though they are rather flimsy, and there are no apparent weapons.

Cheshire Silvanshee |

"Whoah."

![]() |

The creature still makes no response nor move to acknowledge your presence.

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Druneor, follows along about 10' behind Theo.
That is one of the oddest things I have seen.

![]() |

The creature makes no move as you pass. It seems oblivious to your presence. The northern wall of this otherwise empty metal room is a tangle of what look to have once been strange cages of some sort. Tangled amid the metal ribs of these cages are ribs of a more organic nature—the ancient bones of some sort of alien creature. Smaller mounds of rubble lie against the opposite wall.

Pire's head whips around when he hears the creature issue commands to itself in Androffan. "Self... oh, no no no no, leave it alone! Stop! Get away from that thing!" Even as he tries to tell the party to not anger the creature, he pulls out his longsword, just in case.

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Druneor spins around at the Androffin, and angles his spear roughly towards the construct.
I thought it was dead He mutters.

Cheshire Silvanshee |

"I don't think its friendly."

The construct suddenly comes to life, lashing out at Anvil with it's arm. It catches the andoird almost unaware, sending him to the ground. Anvil takes 10 points of damage and is down!

Cheshire already has it flanked with you, actually. :)

I missed that.

In the wake of the first assault (Kit, Fuzzles, and Cheshire managed to hit the thing), the automaton has been broken open and is leaking oil and other fluid from several holes, but is still active.
Pire has an action before it gets to go again.
