Backstory
Vohnkar was the captive of an especially vicious member of the Technic League who used him in countless terrible and agonizing experiments of science and magic. Vohnkar never knew the reasons for these tests for he had no memory of anything outside his dark cell or the bright agony of the lab. To this day he does not know if his memories were erased during his time in captivity or if he was created by the cruel man just to endure the endless torture. 7 years ago Vohnkar was able to escape his hell when a rival member of the League attacked the lab, laying it to waste. Crawling from the wreckage Vohnkar found his captor dying in the Ruins. Using a crude sword, formed, from a hunk of melted metal, Vohnkar ended the wretch’s life. Covered in rags and clutching the jagged blade, he stumbled out into the harsh lands of Numeria.
Vohnkar wandered the shattered lands until one evening he witnessed the flash of light in the distance that lead him to Torch. It was there he meet the Half-orc smith Claynack, who took him in and gave him his fist glimpse of a life not filled with pain and fear. While still naive to many of civilized society’s customs he has been able to integrate himself into Torch with the help of Claynack, hiding his stony, shard infused, skin to pass himself off as human to all but his closest friends.
Can’t decide between the Arcane or the Elemental [earth] bloodlines at the moment.
My idea is to develop Vohnkar from a bestial creature to a more “human” member of society. I’d like to move from CN to either CG or NG and even maybe move away from Bloodrager to a more refined class like Fighter or even Ranger.
I'd like to explore where my character came too from if possible. Either from exploring the runes of the lab I was in, finding the Rival who attacked the lab, Flashbacks and/or dreams, etc.

Hi everyone!
Very interested and submitting my character!
Shelen Baine, female human rogue, age 16 and a sweet girl at heart.
I, um, was born in Torch... at least I don't remember any other place to call home, and I'm glad I met my adoptive father, Khonnir Baine. I also have a step-sister, Val, I love her and I really hope our father doesn't find out about that mess in the loft before we can bake him his favourite cheesecake when he comes back home.
I don't even remember my natural parents anymore, but I distinctly remember how I grew up in poverty, I had to go begging and resort to little theft so I wouldn't starve. Then one day daddy "Khon" noticed and pitied me. He is the best father of all and he lets me play with funny sparky things that he sometimes brings home. I wonder where he is now, I and Val miss him!
I always find the bright side in any situation, because even if things look grim, something's gotta change for the better, you just have to wait a bit and think positively. In fact, now we're here and making friends, friends are good to have and I really hope you can help me bring old Khon home, will you help me, pleeease?
Oh, please don't leave me here, I can also help you! You talked about a door with sparky stuff all around that needs opening, and I can help with that no problem, but then can you help me find my daddy?

This is the Entry for Dirge of Hubris. Name's Gavin Forgrave, Investigator and Field Agent of Alkenstar.
I have written a sort of long winded story in first person on the Alias's profile to give a taste of the flavor for the character and Gavin's seeming play style. If it is too long for you, just skim it because I have much more to develop in game if that chance is provided.
I will be serving as a support combatant and emergency healer as soon as I can pick up the Infusion discovery. Depending on how the party composition is set up, I would like to dabble in some gunslinger to round out the character's uses.

Orru moved to Torch 5 years ago, and his past remains a mystery to this day. Doing odd jobs around town, especially when someone needs a strong back, Orru rents a basement for a elderly woman. He has transformed the space into a small training ground, with the exception of a cot and trunk in the far corner, opposite the stairs.
Though standing only 5' tall, Orru is easy enough to pick out of a crowd, his 200lb frame covered in a gray skin, resembling polished granite, and just as hard. His head is perfectly bald, though no one knows if he shaves or lacks the ability to grow hair.
No-one knows him well, as he rarely socializes with anyone save the woman he rents from and the tavern keep down the street. His voice is deep and gravely and when moved to speak he easily grabs the attention of all present. On those occasions when the town has faced raiders or bandits, Orru has always appeared in the battle, his fist a blur as methodically moves about the fight, beating his foes into submission.

Raffinyaler |

Raffinyaler, Gnomish Investigator (Empiricist) with Local Ties here.
Raffinyaler frequently met with Khonnir Baine at The Foundry to discuss a variety of topics, often focusing on the mystery of the Torch itself or on the strange technological devices that Khonnir had found on his expeditions in the tunnels under the hill. With the Torch going out and Khonnir's disappearance, Raffinyaler has decided to put his skills to use in an attempt to find his friend and ensure that his own livelihood isn't snuffed as well.

The intended role for Raffinyaler in a party is a support/skill monkey role with the flexibility to act as a secondary healer, face, or (at higher levels) precision damage dealer.

I began this process thinking I would submit a synth summoner (ala Iron Man). But after reading up on the savage versus future tech flavor of Numeria I wanted to find something that really struck that chord. I saw the picture of the Wild Child archetype and knew that is what it would have to be.

Back from GenCon. Fun, but tiring and troublesome. On the way up (from Mississippi, a 12-hour trip), a tractor-trailer ran into and destroyed the back of our rental vehicle. No serious injuries (fortunately), but put us behind schedule by 3 hours while we found another rental. Ran a total of seven tables for Paizo.
Give me a day or so to go through the submissions and I will make my selections. I have browsed the entries, but did I miss anything that anyone's character submissions hinges on?

When he awoke, amazingly it was to a new life. The smith hadn't held it against Vergian for taking the food, only admonished him that if he'd asked the smith would have given him that and more. Feeling guilty, Vergian asked to stay to help the woman out with chores for a few days. In the end, Vergian stayed for years. Over the time, he learned about smithing and metals as well as how to construct the guns that made Alkenstar a place for business. However, not only did the smith teach him to make the weapons, she taught him to use them. The entire relationship made Vergian feel like he actually did have a mother, and the feeling of mother to son also was the feeling of the smith to Vergian.
The family feeling ended as abruptly as it began however when the smith left to meet an associate in a small town called Torch. As the woman had been doing the same previously, Vergian didn't think much of it. When he was awoken by the feeling of tragedy his mind changed. Unsure of what he was feeling, he spent days in a bit of a mood. When a letter was delivered to him from the smith, he knew what put him in a mood. According to the letter, the smith had arrived in Torch just in time for a raid by the Black Horse clan to strike near the town. Afterwards she had gone with a group of individuals to track down the source of the raid. She had written some of her adventure in the letter, but by the end, a different hand had finished it. There was no mention of what killed her, but the letter being sent was her dying request and included her will leaving the smithy to Vergian.
It was with a heavy heart that Vergian decided to leave the business in the hands of others and journey to Torch to find out first hand what had happened. The trip took longer than he'd planned, but in the months after, he found that Torch was a place to start over. He helped with the local smithy, and on the occasion where help was needed for the town, he and his gun skill was there. While he's been staying at Agren Maust's boarding house, he's trying to find a place to call his own.
