In any case, I need armor proficiency before I can take it...How much money do I have left after keeping the scroll and wand?

Eostre Roldheim |

Scroll of flaming sphere (CL 5th): 125 GP
Scroll of burning hands (CL 3rd): 75 GP
Wand of shocking grasp (28 charges remaining): 3750 GPAssuming my math is correct, you're at your WBL already, Eostre. I included the scroll of burning hands here because I forgot it until I went back and checked.
Alrighty, I'll just RP Eostre haughtily boasting about how her glaive and spellbook are all the weapons she needs then. :P

Okay, did a little shopping. Picked up a +1 cloak of resistance and a masterwork sling (which is always funny, since you only pay for the masterwork bit). Already have MW armor, shield and melee weapon.
I have about 850 gp until I'm at 3000 gp, the WBL for level 3. What else should I get?

A box of chocolates for Shayliss? :P

If you decide to go for armor in the future, keep in mind you don't need armor proficiency to wear it.
You are skilled at wearing light armors.
Benefit: When you wear light armor, the armor check penalty for that armor applies only to Dexterity- and Strength-based skill checks.
Normal: A character who is wearing armor with which he is not proficient applies its armor check penalty to attack rolls and to all skill checks that involve moving.
Special: All characters except monks, sorcerers, and wizards automatically have Light Armor Proficiency as a bonus feat. They need not select it.
Check the 'normal' part. It doesn't state that you can't wear light armor, just that you take penalties equal to the armor check penalty. Thus, if you take armor without armor check penalty, you can just wear it without any negative effects.

Still not sure what I'd like to get, 'cause I'm not sure how much I have to spend :S
From the Chopper's Isle we'll keep the scroll of flaming sphere and the wand of shocking grasp with 28 charges left, which Eostre both keeps with her.
The quasit's tiny +1 returning cold iron dagger sold for 5152 gp, giving each of us 1030.4 gp. The other items we're not keeping sold for a total of 745 gp, which given each of us an addition 149 gp.
We all get 1179.4 gp loot from Chopper's Isle?
But that's excluding the stuff Eostre's claimed. Shouldn't we divide the loot that Eostre's not claimed by 4, instead of 5?
Then Eostre gets the items she's claimed, and everyone else gets 5897 / 4 = 1474.25 gp from selling loot.

I'll pick 3 scrolls of lesser restoration, 2 scrolls of magic weapon and a scroll of air bubble.
Oh, and some chocolate ice cream! :)

Nicat Brightluck |

Oh, and some chocolate ice cream! :)
I'm in!
And Nicat is ready to go. I'm still 850 gp below WBL, but I'm kind of inclined to save for a magic weapon, or to pay to have one of my current MW weapons enchanted.

Evelyn Grimley |

You can borrow 1150gp from me, with a 10% interest*.
*This interest, once collected, will be part of Evelyn Grimley's fortune on top of, and not as part of, her WBL.
(Joking aside, I don't mind if you want to borrow the gold. Interest free! ;P )

Nicat Brightluck |

"Wow, that's great, Evelyn!" Nicat exclaims, pleased that someone is showing him interest.
That's very kind of you, Evelyn! As long as GMCat doesn't feel that it'll tip the scales to have Nicat a bit above WBL, I'd be happy to do that. Of course, now I have to choose which weapon to enchant, but I think I'd go with my MW sling, since my feats are building more and more toward ranged combat than melee.

In-game it's been two days since Evelyn met everyone else, and I've slowly been working toward a point where she's more comfortable around the others. I think the speech got her to be at that point. So she'll slowly start to act a bit more familiar with the others! :)
I doubt she could run for mayor though. Evelyn's got plenty of charisma, but isn't too bright: Int 7. (Will go to 8 at level 4, to get some more skill points.) Though maybe the people mainly want a kind leader? And I figure I can get some aid from my awesome advisors! :P
Nicat: economic advisor
Conner: military advisor
Eostre: magic advisor
Ekan: shirtless advisor
(I assure you, every good leader needs an advisor like Ekan. Though the gender of the advisor may vary, based on the leader's preference.)

Nicat Brightluck |

That's an awesome cabinet you've assembled, Evelyn. Nicat would be proud to serve (though admittedly incapable of actually advising).
I've finally sorted out Nicat's magic items - went with a +1 sling and some fun slingstone varieties, which puts me almost exactly at WBL. I appreciate the offer of a loan, Evy, but it seemed simpler to just plunder the armory to the right degree and go from there. (Which, come to think of it, sounds more or less like Nicat's economic advice...)

You guys are awesome! The responses to the kiss were fantastic and fun. Very well played, especially you, Runecat!
On a rather different note, I'm being deployed on Wednesday (Sep 2) to the island of Saipan (a US territory) to help clean up in the aftermath of Typhoon Soudelor. My available time and connectivity are both difficult to predict at this point. I return on September 24 and will post as I'm able.

Respect to you and those going with you for helping folks.
Safe journey, and hope Nicat can post with us soon. It's just not the same without his bubbly influence ;)

I was enjoying my (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend. :)
So was I! Though not because of Canadian Thanksgiving, just because it was a long, amazingly quiet, weekend.
What are the traditional dishes of Canadian Thanksgiving? I hope you don't do sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top.

On an entirely different note, I wonder if we could clump the baddies' initiative together, at least a little bit. Having them act at three different stages in the initiative order is not going to wrap up this fight any time soon. Maybe just lump Baddy 1 and Baddy 2, so Nicat isn't the only one acting between them? Or lump all of them together and the party can post as they're able to that way.

GM_Runecat |

Alright then--I'll have Tangletooth & Gogmurt act on the same initiative. I'll take the lower one in this case.
I'm a bit confused on the squeezed bit? I thought the area we had entered was tall enough to avoid it which is why we went in before attacking?
The room the bunch of goblins is holed up in is tall enough for humans to fit comfortably. The room you're currently in is not. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.
