DMCat - can you describe the knotted ropes a bit more? It's not clear to me whether the north side of the bridge is one of the long sides or if it's at the end where Eostre, Ekan and Nicat are. Do they look like they're meant to serve as a handrail for someone crossing the bridge, or a rope to climb up from below? Any further info would be helpful.
The knotted ropes are on the side of the bridge you, Eostre & Ekan are on. They look like support ropes for the bottom of the bridge.
I also marked where they are on the map.
Does it look like we could take up the slack and they'd support the bridge? That way Conner's swimming lesson can happen some other time.

Is Eostre's dialogue too...forgiving to the goblins? I'm trying to convey that she feels like she's utterly cowed them and is sort of gloating.
I got the gloating. There was a certain air of devilish trickery as well, with the pickle bait-and-switch, that I appreciated.
It didn't seem too nice to me, but then again, Ekan approves of nice ;)
Okay, plan suggestion. The gobs are in a semicircle, Conner can rush into the middle and draw their attacks, the people that act before him can start off hitting the two that would be in position to flank him while he keeps the others busy. This should let us overwhelm part of their force quickly with little risk.
I think Ripnugget was annoyed we interrupted his big villain speech! :P
Okay, that could have gone better. If we kill enough goblins before reinforcements arrive, Conner can just wall off the other entrance with his shield.

I'm going to be at a con with my son for Valentine's Day, and my sweetie is taking our other son skiing, so no romantic evening for us. But I did get her a nice gift and am smuggling it to her via my son, so she'll get a surprise valentine while we're apart. (This is much more clever and thoughtful than I usually manage to be, just to be clear.)
I work in a luxury hotel...We've got like a hundred different people who booked our romance package which includes champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries, a late check-out and free breakfast.
