It doesn't matter much since black's attempt to clutch failed but shouldn't black have had to spend an action to fly to remain airborne? Something like bite, grab, fly? or is one of those actions a double-action type thing like hunted shot or flurry?

Also Silence has taken 16 damage. 15 from the bite and 1 from the frost vial splash.

Basag collects the gold from the treasure chest they found.

Basag has Medicine +6 but he does not have healer's toolkit.

If anyone has healer's toolkit that he can lend:
He treats the wounds of his allies
Fjorn: DC 15 Medicine to Treat Wounds: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Healing: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 3) = 11 HP

Maneki: DC 15 Medicine to Treat Wounds: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Healing: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8 HP

Silence: DC 15 Medicine to Treat Wounds: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 crit
Healing: 4d8 ⇒ (7, 2, 1, 3) = 13 HP

With the insects handled and your wounds mostly attended to, you continue searching through the jungle.

After passing the tributary, you discover what can best be described as a camp that has settled into the jungle to stay awhile. Several tents of various colors and sizes surround a small, sandy clearing. Most of the tents seem to have not been moved in ages, based on the way they’re embedded in the nearby undergrowth: flowers, vines, and branches grow around and even inside some of the tents. Tiny flower and vegetable gardens line a stream running through the camp. Most of the flowers are bright colors, but some of the tents have only dark flowers growing nearby, including dark blue, purple, and even black flowers.

Several Song’os of all ages are busily going about their days when you arrive. It isn't long until two of them step forward to meet you.

One >halfling woman with weapons and armor< takes the lead. “Nobody comes this way, not even our own kin. Our home is haunted. You should go.”

The other halfling woman steps in front and extends a hand. "Forgive Efala Toru's rudeness. I am Irena Vella, and you are welcome here—assuming your intentions are kind—though my friend is right. Our home isn’t haunted, exactly, but it may be dangerous to stay.”

Efala taps her feet impatiently. "Fine, we'll do it your way." She turns from Irena to you. "Who are you? What brings you here, to the River Sentinels?"

Meadow shudders in revulsion at Fjorn's method of creating healing elixirs. "Um...No thank you. The aeon stone in my wayfinder should have me right as rain in no time." She then proceeds to quickly tend to Silence's wounds.

"I'm sorry buddy. Here have one of those spicy bits of jerky I bought back in Anthusis."

Meadow heals 1/hp per minute thanks to her aeon stone. She spends some time paying attention to him after the fight to regain her focus point.

Is there some significance to there being dark flowers only by some tents? Meadow has Nature +11 and dubious knowledge

Meadow frowns at her friend. "Danger is not your middle name. Stop making things up." She turns to the halflings and smiles. "Lots of questions. I'm Meadow and this is Silence, Fjorn, Basag and Maneki. We're pathfinders. We found a strange bell that we think might belong to your people and if so we're here to return it. Also we're explorers and we haven't been here before so we thought we'd come and...well...explore." She shrugs.

Basag gives them a bow of respect. "Apologies for our intrusion, but we are here to return something that might be important to your community. Or our community? I am a fellow Song'o halfling as well, as you can see. Basag Bungo, also a Pathfinder."

"When I heard about this matter and the mention of our tribe, my curiosity was piqued, and I volunteered to join the mission. I hope you will allow us an audience in your humble abode."

Meadow notices the darker flowers here. They produce a nice contrast to the brighter flowers in the area. She can see many villagers using them to accent their headdresses. The flowers grow dark in response to the lack of light; she figures some of these tents have been here for decades, forcing the crops to readjust.

"Of course, welcome, all of you. Hello Basag Bungo." Irena modifies her greeting a bit for him. Something Song'os would know instinctively.

As Meadow mentions the bell, the River Sentinels turn serious. Onlookers break off to gather the community. Irena waves you over. "Sit over here, we have much to discuss. Let's do this over a nice meal."

Efala begins to break off from you. "I will call our eldest leader, Mr. Riverside. He will be here shortly."

Basag knows this is cue for a grand feast, but it is really time to converse and earn the trust of the community. The bell is clearly more than just a fancy sculpture- the team will need to figure out why.

Several members of the community lay out a nice meal consisting mostly of food foraged from the nearby jungle, fish from the river, and a few squashes and other things they’ve grown themselves. All the food is fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous—the River Sentinels haven’t forgotten the joys of food and cooking.

The River Sentinels don't seem relieved you returned the bell, but there is some confusion on what to do about it. You'll need to make a good impression and learn more about the bell. The River Sentinels are hospitable and curious, but they aren't explaining anything about the bell.

This is a social encounter. You will have 5 opportunities to gain trust from Irena and Efala. You can either Discover something about them or Influence their opinion of you. All of these involve skill checks.
- Influence: Choose someone, then make a skill check. Your goal is to rack up as many Influence points as possible. Diplomacy is usually a good skill for this, but there may be other skills you can use.

Discover: Choose someone, choose what you want to know about them, then make a skill check. You can ask for:
- A skill that can Influence the person (lowest DC is listed first)
- The person's weakness (can lower future DCs if you include them)
- The person's resistance (can raise the DC or upset the NPC if you do this)
- A personal bias (can lower future DCs if you include them, or add additional opportunities)

Round 1: Introductions
Efala returns alone and sits on the table. "Our elder will be here in a moment. Let me introduce more of the River Sentinels. We are a group of nine extended Song’o families, originally numbering about 50 halflings in all, though their numbers have dwindled to around 30 in recent years as they’ve suffered regular biloko attacks. We once migrated around the Laughing Jungle, like other Song’os, largely enjoying life and regularly visiting other Song’os for feasts, celebrations, and stick-fighting tournaments."

Each PC should make an attempt to Influnce or Discover either Efala or Irena.
