Nahia Round 5 - Readied
Seeing the door fling open, Nahia quickly turns, takes a step, and begins to sway her hips and arms in a rhythmic dance, cooing Aklo: ”Ancient light, rise and revive!” A tinkling sound, like a glass shattering, occurs as motes of light rise from the ground in blinding streaks, the motes covering everyone in the burst.
In the chaos of the dust Nahia whispers to her companions "If you want to rush out amongst them, now might be the best time."
5' step and casting Glitterdust. 10’ radius spread in the red circle I added to the map.
All creatures are outlined in dust, taking a -40 to stealth checks for 5 rounds and negating invisibility. Also, they must each make a will save (DC 15) or be blinded. Each round they can try their will save again, until they make it (negating the blindness) or 5 rounds passes.

Hound holds.
With a deadly and coordinated attack, Rose and Mysty dispatch the guard that opened the door.
Seren command one of his fellows to attack his friends Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 but he is able to resist it.
Nahia cover the area in magical dust, blinding and revealing one more person, that was probably invisible.

The hidden threat don't stay hidden for long, as he appears, his skin coated in shinning dust, but with a glint of stone beneath it. His hands holding a wand, pointed at your direction as a ball of fire explodes inside the tower.

Nahia sees the bead streak from the mage's wand, her mind stunned in the brief moments before its sudden explosion. The fire washes over her as she staggers back against the stone wall, her clothes now singed and tattered, the smell of burnt hair surrounding her, smoke wafting from her body. She gasps in pain and the sudden rush of hot air into her lungs sends her coughing.
Her hands clutching at her face, she manages to bark to her companions "Kill the $@&%ing Mage! Now!"
Still clutching herself, reeling from the attack, Nahia's mind reactively lashes out at the Magister, trying to overwhelm him like she has so many of his brethren.
Slumber hex on the magister, DC 15 will or fall asleep for 5 rounds.

Rose was moving as soon as Nahia called out the order.
"Behind me!" she said to Mysty. "I'll cover you."
She rushed forward with her shield high, trying to ward off blows from the soldiers and rush the Magister.
Now that Hound has taken out that middle soldier it looks like I have a charge lane if I go from where I was to just off center of the magister. I'm taking a risk sucking up the AoOs for whoever wants to follow, but I can't see another way of making this work. I can attack defensively to boost my AC back up. Maybe I'll get lucky.

The fire explodes in the party, Rose and Mysty being able to escape the worst of it. Nahia on the other hand was not so fortunate.
Using the fact the guards were blind, Rose charges, her mace hold high as she strikes the mage. Her attack however had no effect, as the stone-like mage skin absorbed the attack.
Nahia, desperate, try her well know and used trick against the mage, urging him to sleep.
Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 but once again, it seems to have no effect the old man.

Mysty moves forward while exposing her desperation to all others. The mage must die.
Seren laughs hysterical laugh as the fire burn her already damage skin, and hair. But it doesn’t stop her from conjuring fear into the mage’s mind.
... Her power however does take grip on the mage's mind! He is too strong to be affected by those simple tricks! He has more than 5 hd.

Nahia, finally recovering from the flames, looked about.
Hound was hit too. This is bad... real bad. As the only thing between me and those troops, I need to keep him alive... As much as I'd rather focus on myself, I'll be dead if he falls and they recover.
Nahia, still grimacing from her wounds, begins gesturing with a hand, chanting Aklo: ”Spirits that float in the wind of life, please, come and grant him your blessed energy...” Green pinpoints of light start to dance and collect around her outstretched hand, swirling in wind currents that are twirling around her form. The winds and lights follow as she brings her hand to Hound, and upon her touch the wind and swirling lights transfer to him, lightly whipping his hair and clothes, before the green lights start to enter his body and fade, soothing his pain and beginning to close his wounds.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Of course. Another 1...
Doing what she can, Nahia turns to Seren and whispers, ”Quick toss me your wand. There isn’t much else I can do here...”
Casting cure light wounds. Again, not sure how handing something off should work, but I still have a move action left and I go before Seren.

Rose drops the lord's sword and reaches out to grab the wizard.

Seren shrugs as Nahia asks for the wand. "Fighter's always dying on us...". She reaches down and pulls the wand from her belt, handing it over to Nahia.
Move action retrive, free action drop 5 ft away into Nahia's waiting hand.
She mutters under her breath, a transparent shield shimmering into existance around her.
Cast Protection from Evil on Myself. I think that leaves me with all my spells for the day exhausted. Time to wade into Combat!!!

Mysty dodge the spell and uses the opportunity to attack again, her first attack don't offer any real danger, and the second one stops at the stone protection of the mage.
Rose drops her sword and get a hold in the old man, but not before being burned by his spell.
Nahia heals Hound and take the wand from Seren
Seren cast a magic protection on herself, passing the wand to Nahia, as she prepares to wade into combat.

Just realized I mistook the DC 21 Concentration check the magister made for the DC of the fireball. Looks like I took more damage from that than I thought. Ouch.
Fire was usually Rose's ally. She knew better than to ignore it completely but didn't shy from it. This time that lack of instinctive fear had cost her. She realized a few moments after the blast that the Magister's explosion had really hurt. Her armor was uncomfortably hot and everywhere the metal had worn through her arming doublet her skin was being held to a hot iron. The small areas of exposed skin were burned badly. She could smell her own cooked skin.
Her stomach rumbled at the cloying scent of charred meat. Behind her faceplate she couldn't help but have a momentary lapse in concentration while she began to wrap her arms around the wizard in a chokehold. I smell kind of delicious.
