Seren Minion - Skeleton |

Seren puts on a superficial grin, her magical energies almost fully consumed for the day. She pulls out her mace a small sigh escaping her lips.
"lets find that bloody wizard. With him gone we can take our time clearing the gatehouse. The common soldiers don't seem to be much of a threat"
-Posted with Wayfinder

Hound |

Yes, let us find the wizard, with them lacking magical assistance things will be easier. Just where does he stay? If we do not know then the gatehouse sounds as good as any other.
I pretty much have to follow you guys around since I have no idea where the wizard is.

Lady Rose |

"The bedrooms for the important people are in the Keep. That's our best bet. We might be able to draw some soldiers away and divert their attention by lighting the rookery on fire or something."

![]() |

cut the Lord's head off, and that will be our banner. Show the survivors their fate. We should ascend. That will be where the mage is, and the fools here may simply flee. Give your enemy a golden bridge of escape and they will rout, corner them and they'll fight like cornered rats.
Mysty gestures upward as she speaks.

Lady Rose |

Rose was moving more easily now. Nahia's wand was truly a godsend. She looked up the stairs.
"Lets use their weapons against them. Upstairs. We could pick off quite a few of them from up there. Hound's polearm could probably hit the ground from any window facing the courtyard, so we could make them afraid to breach the tower too. Instead of hunting he Magister, let's make him come to us."

Nahia |

Nahia nods and adds "I can refresh the growth spell on Hound, if needed, and between his reach and the guards needing to come up the stairs to reach us, we could probably hold them off for quite a while. Especially given their lack of leadership."

![]() |

no it is to open the gates to the bugbear army. Killing guards is useful, but not our main task. According to the map if we go up one level there is a walkway accross to the gate house. Let us ascend, kill the mage and take the gate house. But whatever we do, lets do it now.

Lady Rose |

"Tonight isn't the night. The army isn't expecting it to go down right now. We've gotten way off script."

![]() |

Rose if we take the tower, don't we win this? I never liked that one week plan, to many things could go wrong. Right now they are demoralised, and disorganized. What we know of the mage is he is no leader. With him gone, the troops may rout.

DM Aku |

Mysty starts to argue again, as a classical villain, about their plan. In all they seems to never reach an agreement, and as classical villains, they nearly ruined defeat, bickering among themselves.
However, after some stares from the others, the Halfling seemed to give up on her argument, as the party moved upstairs.
No one stands on your way as you move up, the door to the yard, still closed.
You reach the 3rd Level of the tower, to find that two guards had been posted there, to protect the arrow supplies, being disguised as soldiers, they did not stand a chance, as Mysty and Rose waded between then, waving death with their weapons.
This level is a key archer’s strongpoint. Arrow slits adorn its entire outer wall. Wooden racks contain the watchtower’s store of arrows. Four thousand normal arrows neatly sorted into a 200 quivers of 20 arrows each hang on these racks.
From there, you can see the yard, especially when some of the guards move about, carrying torches.
What are your intentions?

Seren Minion - Skeleton |

"oh please lets rain death down on those pitiful fools." seren asks hopefully, the basically limitless supply of arrows sparking her imagination.
-Posted with Wayfinder

Hound |

Hound pulls out his bow. Very well, I'll start shooting. Be sure to watch the doors.

Lady Rose |

In the brief, off-camera fight did I notice anything special or different about the Lord's sword (which I'm currently using)?
Are there bows with the arrow supplies? If there are, I'd like to grab one.

DM Aku |

The sword, Steel longsword surmounted with a gold and blue sapphire pommel in the shape of the rising sun, set with a red spinel. The blade bears the inscription “The strong must protect the weak.”
It was shining in a holy light when it was in the paladin hands. Its light died, any magical property seems to have vanished from the weapon.
==/==
There’s no bows stored with the arrows, however, when climbing the stairs you remembered that almost every guard carried a shortbow, and thus each one of you has one for use.

DM Aku |

It does not takes much firing to attack attention; the soldiers began to yell desperate orders running about. Not much time later, a different source of light appears, one that any spell caster is able to recognize as the light spell.
Taking advantage of this, you send a volley of arrows in the source direction, and in the instant later, it blackens out, as does the others source of lights.
Mysty and Hound hear a frantic voice, yelling to the soldiers ”The tower! Move, move!”
You were able to kill several guards, from your vantage point, that however changed when the wizard appeared. All source of lights were extinguished, and they were too far away to be seem by darkvision. You can surmise that they are coming to you. How will you greet them?

Hound |

Hound draws his great sword. We should try to keep out of direct line of sight of the doorway, so the wizard cannot target us directly.
Hound will get to one side of the door and ready himself when the soldiers burst in.

Lady Rose |

"Not here. We're in a pinch on this floor. If we get cut off from our escape route we'll regret it. Downstairs. We want to hold them at the hall and the stairs. Hound, grab the biggest chunk of that barricade. We might be able to use it against them. Go. I'll follow."
On the map, the downstairs entrance is right next to the staircase. We can use that as a great bottleneck and it's right next to our exit point just in case we get swamped. Hopefully we'll be able to control their approach and keep the wizard from getting line of site on us.
Once the group is clear I'm going to use Channel Energy to light the archer's nest on fire. There's enough wood in here to turn it into a serious bonfire that will make it hard for them to maneuver in, and it will take out a lot of their supplies.

DM Aku |

Abandoning their defensive point, Rose points the others to get back into the forge, as she stays behind, to light a fire into the arrow storeroom.
Mysty, Nahia, Hound, Seren and skeletons move stair bellow, but before they can cross the room, the door burst open, and soldiers pour inside.
Remember that the barricade is in the hallway after the room 2, and that you were at the room 38. You need to cross room 32, 2 and then get to the hallway to pick up a broken piece of barricade.
