Then he sees Eric going for the other door, and then the orc. Irena began to yell, but is cut off by gregor that at this time is holding a met cleave. He points it to you and say "What you want? If you try anthing I'll scream, Irena will scream, and the guards in the hallwall and in the mess hall will come to investigate. We be dead, but then will you."

Seren slowly enters the room with Adanna (Assuming your move to join them includes entering the kitchen area), mumbling quietly under her breath. Cast guidance on herself. "We don't want to hurt you, though we will if you insist." Seren sweetly replies, an evil glint in her eyes.

"And be sure if you call the guards, all your doing is sending them to their deaths. Have you not seen our attire, the forsaken are not given armor when placed in our cells."

"My friend here has an ingredient. It will be going in this evening's dinner for the guards and dogs. Do this for us and you have our thanks, which is worth far more then whatever these men are paying you for working at this horrible place."

Irena walk to Adanna crying all the way and take the ingredient and add it to the meal.

"Now, there are guards just outside both doors. The sergeant is likley to be at the game in the gatehouse with a lot of other guards, drinkin and gamblin. There are guards at the gatehouse with dogs and more guards at the bridge. More than that, I know not what to say."

Zerik Speaks the truth in a way that twists it to their need, hoping they will reveal all.

Adanna trots into the kitchen, giving the leaves to Irena and Gregor. Smiling at them and saying in a calming voice, "Don't worry, we just want things to turn out properly... as they should be. By the smell of the food in here, considering what you have to work with, it seems like the two of you do a wonderful job. You have nothing to fear from us as long as you cooperate."

I'm trying to help calm them. This is me using my charm hex on Irene. DC 14 will save or be under the effects of charm person for one round. Long enough for her to feel that what I said came from someone that she really trusts.

I fear that both servants will not survive this day. The woman in particular does not strike me as one to stay quiet after this encounter. The man however... he has potential. His professed devotion to that horrid church is an issue I have dealt with before, and the church of Asmodeus will be stronger indeed if we can corrupt one with his skills and access.

Her views on the servants rendering their knowledge irrelevant, Seren turn to her companions.

"Where to from here? The gatehouse and dogs will be an issue. Perhaps the warden may have another possible escape route? I know of few wizards that don't plan for a quick retreat and escape."

This room houses a well-stocked kitchen and pantry.
Besides, the usual collection of plates, bowls and other cooking paraphernalia, there are six large knives here (equivalent to a dagger) and a long meat cleaver (equivalent to a short sword). There is also roughly fifty days’ worth of food stored here – forty days’ worth of perishable and ten days’ worth of iron rations.

After some minutes, Gregor is back.

"It's done, now let her go."He says to Eric.

"There are about five or six of them in there by the sound of it. We can wait for some of them to leave and take the rest, or we can try and fight the lot which I do not suggest, even with the poison." says Zerik quietly as he gags the female servant and fills his cloak with iron rations.

"How many of them in there and how are they armed?" he asks the male guard.

Zerik asks Erik to stand on one side of the door with him while Grumblejack takes the other side so that they will flank any guards that decide to wander into the kitchen.

did any of the guards drink the alchohol that was served and are they affected by it?

They may cause a ruckus if this doesn't work, but at least if it that happens we'll be prepared and know its coming. Better that then if all hell breaks loose when were someplace in the open."

Seren ponders for a moment before adding "Plus I would really like to take a look at the sergeants room, having that map would be nice."

Adanna puts down her meal, gets near the door, and says "Grumblejack, it might be a good idea if you try going to the nearest door out in there, that way no one can get in or out unless you let them."

Zerik rushes into the room past the first table and to the guard seated at the middle table. He attempts to run his blade through the unsuspecting guard.

Eric, when you confirm a critic, you don't need to roll again the dmg, instead of 18+12, you did: 18*2.

Zerik charges with brutal efficiency droping the guard two with only one hit. But it was a child blow compared to what Eric did. Where once stood the guard1, now you have 2 halves of a dead person, its almost like a blood carnival. Seren, Lyza and Marsella both moved inside and Adanna tried to put the guard2 to sleep alas, that did not worked.

Eric moves in to dispatch the final sleeping guard. I know some GMs do it differently. I'm okay with the *2, especially off of a max damage XD.

Edit: was actually able to load the map. Guard 5 is too far away so I have to move in to attack rather than coup de grace.

Good group all around. I think that surprise round was our first failed will save this campaign. Only took us killing half the prison before we finally found a guard that wasn't sleepy.
