The girls will all follow Daniel as he leads them down the stairs, though the five human girls are rather clumsy in the dim light. The half-elf and halfing are doing fine though.

Daniel will turn to the most frightened/youngest looking human girl.

"Hold out your hand child, and I will share with you the blessings of Gozreh."

Daniel casts Light on her hand.

Spoiler:

Perverts the lot of you.

male undine swashbuckler rogue/aquatic sorceror 1/1

Patch kept an eye on Valeria and Luciana as they moved out. "Quickly now, before more guards show up. Let's move, ladies." Not wanting to lead any possible pursuit straight to the ship, but wanting to get away before any alarm was raised, he lagged a little behind in the shadows, watching for any followers.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

All of you become quite thoroughly drenched in a matter of minutes after leaving the warehouse, leaving you all quite chilled in the cool night air. The girls are all shivering already with their clothing plastered to their skin. Though you couldn't say for certain if their shivering is due to the weather or to the fear of being recaptured by the slavers.

You do not notice anyone following you as you make your escape, though several minutes after you all leave, you hear a loud horn blowing over the sound of the rain. It seems to coming from the direction you just came from. Perhaps the watcher on the roof finally realized that there were no patrols roaming beneath his perch?

M Half Orc Bloodrager 6 / Init +3; Perc +10 / AC 22(26), 11, 20 / hp 31/(76) / F+9, R+5, W+7

That's our cue to move quicker! Step it up, ladies! We'll be safe on the boat.

I hope...

male undine swashbuckler rogue/aquatic sorceror 1/1

Rather than being uncomfortable in the downpour, Patch enjoyed the rain hammering against his skin. It was almost as good as a storm at sea. If only he didn't have to wear this ridiculous disguise...

Catching up to the others, he helped herd the girls toward Ragnar's ship, thinking to avoid causing any trouble for his kin.

If they get there uneventfully:

Once everyone was aboard, Patch shed his disguise and prepared to push off, hoping that the captain wouldn't be too upset about the extra "booty" they had brought along. "Trouble may be on the way, cap'n," he called to Ragnar.

Patch will take 20 on any sailor checks.

Lunthawg walks with the others towards the ship. Upon hearing the alarm he turns and mumbles.

You really should have let me burn the inside...then they'd have other things to worry about...

M Half Orc Bloodrager 6 / Init +3; Perc +10 / AC 22(26), 11, 20 / hp 31/(76) / F+9, R+5, W+7

If we indeed get back without any trouble, Hoga will do as Patch is doing, but will put on his armor first.

You all manage to make it back to the ship without being stopped by anyone, though you think you can make out sounds of pursuit over the noise of the storm.

Captain Ragnar seems a bit surprised by the extra baggage you guys have brought aboard. Could you lot not figure out which was the right girl? Turning around to yell at his men, Olaf, Jens, storm or no, loose the sails we need to leaving port in a hurry. Signe, find a place for all these girls.

Signe escorts the girls below deck, Come with me girls, you can dry out in front of the stove in the galley while I find you some blankets.

Just as you have undone the moorings and are pulling away from the dock, you think you can make out several figures on horseback riding towards the dock. They look to be too late to stop you from leaving port though.

M Half Orc Bloodrager 6 / Init +3; Perc +10 / AC 22(26), 11, 20 / hp 31/(76) / F+9, R+5, W+7

Goody! We can relax now, confident that there couldn't possibly be any repercussions ever for what we just did! XD.

male undine swashbuckler rogue/aquatic sorceror 1/1

Now Patch will cast Obscuring Mist, on the docks. Doesn't hurt to be hidden. :)

Daniel moves under some cover in order to dry off and stay out of the way.

"That was almost too easy. Are we sure they won't chase us?"

The wind and rain are making visibility difficult and navigation across the deck of the ship dangerous. Jens almost fell overboard tying off some rigging. Shortly after leaving the dock though, you think that you can make out the sails of a ship following behind you.

Deron watches the ship behind him with a smile. He hefts his shield and scimitar and leans his head back to look up into the rain. He seems quite ready for battle.

They're pirates, of course they will chase us. We...really stole a lot from them just now.

He sighs.

We should have burned their ship.

male undine swashbuckler rogue/aquatic sorceror 1/1

Patch found himself agreeing with Lunthawg. "A pity we didn't think to find which ship belongs to that sea-scum. I say we lure them out a little farther, then attack. They can't possibly have a full crew on such short notice." He grinned at Lunthawg. "Then you can burn 'em down to the waterline if you like."

I've been meaning to ask: what did we get for the other ship we towed in? I'm assuming it would have covered the cost of all our disguises, and then some.

M Half Orc Bloodrager 6 / Init +3; Perc +10 / AC 22(26), 11, 20 / hp 31/(76) / F+9, R+5, W+7

If it's the Sea Dragon, We'll know soon enough.

Lunthawg shrugs.

We can just burn lots of ships next time and hope that we get the right one.

Since no one mentioned who would handle the sale, I went and had Ragnar deal with it. He negotiated the sale and then used some of the proceeds to restock the ship with provisions for your journey home. Which turns out to have been a good idea since otherwise you wouldn't have enough to feed everyone now. You can just ask him at some point how the sale went.

Your ship and the pursuing vessel seem to be riding the edge of a hurricane. At least that would explain the driving rain and wind that is currently making it miserable for anyone out on the the deck. On the bright side, it does seem to be hindering pursuit, though they clearly are not giving up. Of course the downside is that it is making it impossible for your ship to keep the course it had plotted out.

Daniel heads below to help Signe with the rescued captives.

"Signe, do you require any assistance down here? Perhaps I can keep everyone here calm while you help above? I am not much of a sailor."

Signe and Tashi are both in the galley which is currently rather cramped with them and all the girls in it. You find it rather too warm in here as Signe has the little stove fired up as much as she dares in order to try to help dry out and warm up the girls. They are all still shivering a bit in their wet clothes and have dry blankets wrapped around themselves and there is still some whimpering and sobbing going on. Looking exasperated when Daniel enters, Signe replies Help find out their names, some can't seem to get past the blubbering stage yet.

male undine swashbuckler rogue/aquatic sorceror 1/1

Hoga: Not sure what you mean - isn't our ship the Sea Dragon?

Patch let out a whoop as the ship dove through the waves, clinging to the rigging with a fierce grin on his face. He felt more alive in the driving rain and wind, especially with danger on their tail. He went about the work that needed doing with a sea chanty on his lips, turning now and then to keep an eye on the other ship.

Edit: If Patch can think of a route they can take that will give them the advantage over the pirates (like a route through shallow reefs or something), he'll advise the captain of it. Know:local: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

D'oh!

Daniel makes calming gestures with his hands.

"Please ladies, please calm down. Everything is ok, we have all but escaped your captors."

Daniel sits near one of the former captives, his demeanor shifting.

Deron waits patiently for the other ship to approach.

M Half Orc Bloodrager 6 / Init +3; Perc +10 / AC 22(26), 11, 20 / hp 31/(76) / F+9, R+5, W+7

Hoga will stand at the aft deck, watching the water for anything that may approach from close behind the ship.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

@Daniel

My, my name is Allaria Cantresh. Will you really take all of us back to our homes? She looks at Daniel hopefully, still half-afraid that they were stolen from one set of slavers only to be sold elsewhere.

@Those on Deck

Despite the rough weather, the slaver's ship appears to be catching up to yours and you can just barely make out the captain of that ship over the din of the storm and waves. Give us the girls back and maybe we will let you live!

Though the slaver ship is armed with cannons, it clearly appears that their intent is to board you first so they can recover their stolen property from you. As the ships continue to draw closer together, men with grappling lines stand at the edge of the deck and begin making throws.

I take it the knowledge and sailor checks didn't help?

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Patch will try to cut the lines before the pirates can board. If they board before he can, he'll cast Shield again.

Patch - Don't worry, they're coming up and if your lucky your high roll will help to keep your ship from hitting your reefs. :)

Captain Ragnar shouts out, The idiots, those waves could end up smashing our ships together! Cut the lines!

He gives his warning too late as a huge wave washes over both ships, banging them together. (Acrobatic or Sailor checks to stay upright dc 10) The crews of both ships get a bit of surprise as the three men that were at the rail find themselves washed overboard their ship and onto yours.

At the begining of Initiative, both ships will still be right beside one another before the waves draw them apart again.

"I'll see you home again Allaria, my word on"

Daniel falls to the ground as the ship is slammed around. He looks around in confusion and rubs the bump that is forming on his head.

"Did we hit something? Everybody stay here, I will check."

He makes his way topside, holding on carefully to anything that is available.

Ouch! The collision really took him by surprise! I guess he'll rise from prone and cast Shield, then.

Patch fell to the deck as the ships smashed together and water roared down around his ears. He scrambled to gain traction on the boards, rising to his feet and murmuring the words to a spell.

Should we be making acrobatics checks each round to stay standing, or is the deck relatively fine to fight on so far?

You will be fine unless another wave crashes the ships together again. If anything like that happens, I will call for the rolls again.

Roger that.

I assumed my action was getting on deck at init 8. Are we still waiting for me?

Round 2 Initiative: 16 (just before slavers), AC: 20, HP: 22

Deron swiftly attacks the slaver on the deck in front of him. If he finishes him off he moves towards the next slaver as quickly as the storm lets him.

Attack with Scimitar (Power Attack): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage with Scimitar (Power Attack): 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Daniel - yes your action was to get on the deck.

Hoga fires a solid shot into one of the slavers and Patch regains his feet while muttering the words to a spell.

Thus ends round 1

Round 2

After Hoga's shot, Patch briefly considered calling on another mist to protect them from the slavers' archers, but the powerful wind would have rendered his spell useless too quickly. Instead he moved to flank the slavers on board with Deron, slashing with his cutlass.

The crossbowmen fire again and miss Jens and Lunthawg, but hit Hoga again 4 points Though Hoga get his revenge by putting a second arrow into that one and dropping him.

Four slavers attempt to swing over onto your ship, two make it and land on their feet and two others are swept away by the waves crashing between the ships and do not resurface. The two that made it advance on Deron and Patch to assist their comrade. The slaver that was already there misses his swing at Deron, but the other two hit their marks, one slashed Deron across his arm and another delivers a grazing blow to Patches head. 7 points Deron and 3 points Patch.

I forgot your own crew
Jens is on the ground with a crossbow bolt in him, but you can see him moving a bit so you know he is still alive, but barely. Olaf is still up in the rigging somewhere trying his best to keep the sails as they should be in this storm and Ragnar is steering in the direction Patch pointed him in. Too fearful now to turn loose of the wheel to fight least they head right into the reefs themselves. You can only assume Signe is belowdeck with Tashi and all the other girls.

Daniel's action will end round 2, you may go ahead and post your round three actions.
