There's a serious lack of trapfinding in this application field for a group that plans to pose as smugglers and rescue people from pirates. Do either of the rogues submitted plan on filling that role? (And in Jumpin' Johnny's case, do you plan on dropping the swashbuckler archetype if the group doesn't have trapfinding at all?)

Yeah definitely can. The concept works just as well without swashbuckler.

I (as a DM) can recommend Drayen and Garabott, both great players with wits, humor, loyalty (to the campaign) and a high grade of activeness (at least one post per day).

Cheers and good luck.

Just a short note to say that I'm withdrawing Poldrin from the running. Thanks for the opportunity to pitch.

I am re-opening this recruitment thread in an attempt to find a replacement healer type (preferably a cleric) for my game to replace a player who had to leave due to rl issues.

If interested, please post a character concept, class and stats.

Would you consider a witch with the heal hex, and cure spells? A sea.witch with a familiar that either flies or can swim.

If that's not a definite no, ill stat one up and add a background. He's want the flight he'd and have ranks on fly.

Sorry, but I'd rather not have a second witch.

Winston Chareth is still available, he was designed as a backup healer. Although I am leaving on a road trip tomorrow for 2 weeks and will only have periodic access during that time.

I'm looking more for a main healer type of a class that I do not already have. (So no more witches or bards.)

Maybe it's just easier to say I'm looking for a cleric or oracle.

I have an idea for an elemental cleric. ideal He'd (maybe she) would have connections to all 4 elements, but that's all mostly flavor. Mechanically he'd have two elemental domains (Air and Fire are my top picks, but I'm open to suggestions). I have an idea for armor he will eventually create called "flying fish armor." It's gives a swim speed and allows one to make jumps from the water with appropriate bonuses. Also has a glide feature, eventually. ;-)

Got a race in mind for him/her?

And Air and Water might be best for the setting. Some people dislike a lot of fire on their flamable boats. :)

Alright then. I'll reserve the fire for the enemy boats. ;-)

No race specifically. Human most likely. Maybe half elf.

I just ask about the race because I somehow have a whole party without a single full-blooded human in it.

Go ahead and stat your cleric up and I'll look it over.

What's the level/point buy?

On second thought I'd like to make an elemental themed druid instead. Is that cool?

Edit: how about a storm lord druid.

Stat up your druid then and I'll look it over.

Everyone will have just hit level 2 when you come in, so go ahead and make one to match. The point buy was 25.

I do like the Storm Druid archetype since I don't have to deal with animal companions.

You will start with max gold, but your equipment won't exactly be on your character. My plan was to introduce whatever healer I found as a captive on the pirate ship my players just captured. You were deemed too valuable to kill and were taken either for their own use or to sell to the highest bidder at a slave market.

F-TBD
Wind Blast

Wild empathy
One rank in each of the following: Climb, Geography, Nature, Percep, Survival, Swim

Just saw this. Will update sheet, but you can take a look at the level one for a good baseline.

Looks ok so far. I can look at a more complete sheet later this evening.

Shadow Lodge

Shoot, wish I'd noticed this thread earlier. Is the recruiting closed now or are you still taking applicants?

Toss up a character sheet and I'll look it over too.

Shadow Lodge

For you consideration, Daniel Vesper.

Fluff:

Background
Born to a wealthy merchant family, Daniel moved from a very young age to Sargava from Westcrown. Having never known his country of birth and not being one of the nobility, Daniel grew up rich on the streets of the colony. The 4th son of 9 children, Daniel found it easy to slip away, and would often spend time on the docks, watching the merchant ships unload cargo from across Golarion in exchange for exotic spices and animals from the Mwangi interior.

It is during his time on the docks that Daniel began to notice the fairer sex, for many noblemen came to oversee cargo or spend time on luxury vessels. Being far more interested in their daughters, it was not long before he was being chased with some regularity along the streets of Sargava, some insulted noble or put out suitor hot on his heels.

It is during his itinerant youth that Daniel met an old priest of Gozrah, and intrigued by this barbarian religion Daniel began to spend more time with M'kan, and although he lacked the wisdom to become a cleric of that deity, when his oracular powers manifested later in life, they did so with a bent towards water and life instead of fire, and his parents were not pleased.

Appearance
Daniel is tall and handsome, his eyes a sparkling blue like the sea, although they turn to grey when he is angry. He is not the strongest or wisest of men, but he is smart and fast. He often tries to use his tongue to get out of situations, but all too often he fails. It was during one of these failures that he gained his limp, falling out of a 4 story window onto the hard pavement below. Although he tries not to show it, he is quite bitter over this, and will refuse all offers of aid. He hopes one day that his powers, granted by Gozrah and focused on the energy of life, will allow him to heal this weakness. Daniel shaves religiously, and likes keeping his black hair trimmed close to his scalp.

Party Role
Daniel is a dedicated healer. As an Oracle of Life with the Channel Positive Energy revelation, his healing ability rivals a cleric.

My players are enjoying the fact that the whole party is comprised of nonhumans, so would your concepts work with other races?

Shadow Lodge

No problem, half-orc, half-elf, half-aquatic elf, goblin, halfling, etc, they all work, would just need to move some stat points around depending on which race and change some basic background. Do you have a preference?

My current players are a:
Sylph
Undine
Elf
Goblin
Half-Orc

Something that I don't already have would be preferable. I like a variety. :)

Shadow Lodge

Looking at the choices I'd say one of these three, in order of preference:

1. Tengu
2. Aasimar
3. Orread

Tengu and Orread would require the most change to backstory, but nothing too major. Aasimar works as written, just gives a reason for his parents to flee Cheliax.

Don't like Tengu, not sure offhand what a Orread is, Aasimar would be fine and is actually what our previous healer oracle was.

-2 chr for Oreads, so prolly not good for an oracle.

Shadow Lodge

Ok, consider him switched to an Aasimar. :D

I'll await your decision between TCG myself and any other applicants.

plus Oreads are earth, which traditionally sinks like a stone (get it?) In water.

Shadow Lodge

I was going with the elemental theme of the party. And I can't wrap my head around a pyromaniac ifrit healer. Ok I could, but I think the party wouldn't like it as much. :D

That would amuse the pyromaniac goblin though :)

I think I'd like to see him writ up as an Ifrit.

I can't think of the name of the race, but it's in the Bestiary 2. The sub race of humans who spent too much time on the shadow plane. I've got an idea for a rogue-ish character who's actually a straight cleric with the travel and trickery domains. I can easily see him as a swashbuckler type.

Is that exotic and interesting enough while still maintaining the need for healing?

I'm going to have to look up that race before i can comment.

Interesting, but probably not advisable for clerics or druids since they get a -2 Wisdom.

DM WaterSprite wrote:

Ahhh. Didn't have my book in front of me. The rogeish cleric would still work as another race. Halfling? Dwarf? Aquatic elf?

We are about to the point where I would introduce the new healer, go ahead and toss up full sheets please, I'll need to actually decide soon.

Shadow Lodge

I made the changes to mine at home and don't have them handy at work. I can post the modified one this evening (5pm CST). The only real changes to the earlier one are race and the loss of the Storm-Lashed Feat.

By this evening will be fine.

H'okay, one character sheet.

Ok, Aasimir should work for the race.

Ok Daniel Vesper, your sheet looks good and apparently both myself and my husband can verify your posting abilities from different games.

Below are the IC and OOC links to the game threads. Report in and I'll explain your situation to you in the OOC thread.
