Apropos of nothing, I woke up this morning and realized undines must have a language for speaking underwater, and so I'm adding a sublanguage to the Campaign Ingo page: Tendril Benthic (uses Benthic for its base just like ASL uses American English as its base)

Wanted a quick checkin with a new week upon us. As far as I know:
--Inam has RL, being botted for now
--Kallik has RL, botted for now
--Ibinu is fine
--Sequoya has RL, but ok for now
Sequoya, wanted to touch base with how you feel kind of being on your own, now with Kallik being an NPC. I have a story in mind that will involve you getting to know Kallik better while Inam and Ibinu are mostly doing their own thing. Interested?
Ibinu, you seem to have control of your priorities, but let me know if you need anything. Inam is tending to the wounded of the city, and probably supervising the continued renovation of the Temple.

We have been assigned a due date in August, but wife has never gone full term so we'll see when she pops. :-P Still to early to know if it's a boy, girl, chicken...etc. ;-)

You'll always have a place and a community here if you just want to talk about whatever or play the game or just disappear for a bit as you manage RL things.
Want to hear everyone's thoughts on this -
If Inam is still going to be gone long term for RL stuff, it will reduce botting if the character goes to address the problem in Forge. Also makes sense from the standpoint of Forge being very much a Warrior-centered city that Inam is the ambassador.
Thoughts? This would not be taking Inam out of the game by any means, just a sidequest if you will.
Hmmm... I was thinking about this. Maybe we should just all go on Hiatus? I get the feeling it is just you and me posting back and forth. I like this group and will keep monitoring it and want us to come back strong when RL things get a bit more manageable.
Anyone have thoughts?
I was juggling that as a second thought as well.
Had some time to think about it, and with 2 of the Blessed on hiatus already, the campaign should follow suit.
When you get a chance, please let me know: would a one month hiatus (so start up again April 2nd) be a good time to get the campaign rolling again?

And the more I look at it, the more this is very likely going to be a long term thing with people moving, and upcoming due dates, etc. Life happens!
The last thing I will do is put up a "State of the Game" post in the discussion (we were at the six month mark for me to do one anyway). I'll put all the main ideas/conflicts as a refresher for when we do get back to this.
(and I have every confidence we will! this campaign is a survivor!)

I'd very much still be here if you wanted to go on hiatus. Being the newest character, and newest player to the world, it still a little tricky getting a solid feel on interaction without other players to work with as much.
I think April 2nd plan would work well for me.
I'm good with checking back in then and evaluating. No reason to force a restart though if we aren't available at that point.
Cool, we will pencil in 4/2 and check in at that time.
We have decided to go on hiatus, and it just so happens to correspond with our 3 1/2 year mark.

Well, the poster of three weeks ago would probably be surprised at where we are at in the world right now. If I recall, Inam is an EMT? And like everyone in the health field must be swamped. If everyone could just check in in the next week or two, I'd just like to confirm that we have at least one person that won't be posting in the foreseeable future.
If we all CAN post, then cool, we'll start back up, but I'd rather just see the reality and go from there :) If not, I don't want to shut anyone out, and we can put this one in cold storage for a while.
I actually have a dramatic "ending" (for a much longer hiatus) I could introduce to drive you all crazy, but I'll wait until I hear back.

I'm here, but I'm not expecting the others to be any more free than they were a month ago.
Personally, things are pretty similar for me (luckily) as I'm just working from home instead of commuting and have been fortunate enough for me and mine to avoid the disease.
Working from home, managing my 11yr old through school online. Would probably be able to manage a post a day pace.

I am involved in the Pre-Hospital field, as our all-mighty GM recalls and things are a tad hectic. ;-)
I would hopefully be capable of handling 1 post per day, but due to the state of affairs at the moment would not be able to guarantee it.
Ok, I've made my decision.
1) Kallik hasn't responded, and if I recall they were looking to move, which I can only imagine is a nightmare right now. And I honestly don't want to move on without Kallik.
2) I also don't want to put any pressure on Inam to post during these insane times.
So between those, especially #1, I've decided to put us on a Long Hiatus. Basically we can look to restart the campaign when "things start to settle down", but a good rule of thumb I think is that while things are getting steadily worse (more cases reported, more deaths, schools still closed, etc) that we will still be closed as well.
Look for an "ending" of sorts sometime today. ('ending' in the sense of Fellowship of the Ring, not Return of the King)

You first encountered her at the Stem Slums - she was leading a band of guards that invaded the Stem Slums after the Young Elder crushed the iron bells of the Temple with its roots. The guards, including Tareasca, were possessed by a spirit of the Cauldron Lady and driven to attack the Young Elder that resides there.
Captain Tareasca at the v'Enturi party, trades words with Kallik, then Karoff interrupts
and that is all to date.
Hmm... sorta what I thought. Literally zero contact with Ibinu. Thaaaaat... may actually help.

No, it did not, which is chilling in itself. Bian and Egret were going south for a few weeks to celebrate the undine holiday Southern Pilgrimage, and now you have a note talking about kidnapping. You do not know if Bian is dead, or if the kidnapper simply doesn't care about Bian.
