So have you heard about the recent studies in food and health that were completed last year? It was an international study and they studied and compared lots of cultures. Part of the study was to determine what if any types f diets may contribute to a longer life. Especially in America and Great Britian whom where the heads of this study. Here are just a few.
Japan -- eats fish and vegetables and drinks sake -- live longer than Americans and Great Britians
Ireland -- heavy fatty meats like lamb and mutton. Lots of meads and ales as well as copious amounts of beer. They live longer than Americans and Britians .
China -- Lots of vegtables, Rice, wine from fruits and rice, and yes they to live longer than those running the study.
So after compiling all the data. One conclusion was reached. You can eat and drink whatever you like and it doesn't effect your longevity. But speaking English will kill you early.

For the record, this is my first time playing a LG character. I tend to play CN or LN and seriously toe the evil line.
My last "good-ish" character was a drug dealin alchemist that tended to get unsuspecting people hooked. To be fair drugs do have some good initial affects... ;-)
I'm really enjoying the RP aspects of this campaign and the struggle of not straying to the dark side .
I guess I'm in trouble...the closest I get to bilingual is watching Dora the Explorer with my daughter.

done deal also noticed I hadn't listed the # of rage perday so that is done as well.
This is my first pbp where the actual interaction is and has been more important and fun than most of the other stuff.
I run one that has been similar with interactions.
I AM LOVING IT so far
This game is a lot of fun. I am in so heavy rp games and it is the style I love. I actually have a tendency to, in pbp, play light hearted character mostly if it is a long ranging campagin and serious for the shorter modulus. But they tend to have a really dark past because I believe the GM should always have ammo on me. In live games my character tend to be really dark though.
I speak only english and a bit of southern english but I do not think that counts. But I knew I was doomed a long time ago.
Also Inam! Shame Shame! Those innocent people.
I cannot make the claim Ibinu makes, despite my love for this game, because I was a goblin with other goblins and we made the game into a musical so that kind of takes the cake even though it was short lived. Also I had a mount who was another player who joined the game late.

Don't worry Kallik, that character only had 1 commoner die from the drugs side affects. It wasn't my fault he couldn't pay for more....

It's coming up on three weeks since Brinn last posted, so if I don't hear from him by the end of the week, I will be dropping him from the game.
Since this is a shared story, I thought I would get your opinions on the following options:
1) Bot Brinn permanently, no new players
2) Remove Brinn from the main narrative, no new players
3) Remove Brinn from the main narrative, recruit a new player
I'm personally not a fan of 1), because I want the interplay of four outsiders thrust into a crazy situation to be organic, without an "DMPC" messing things up.
Naturally, I would like to see Brinn come back.
However, if that doesn't occur, I would vote for option 3.

I prefer the third option if he does not come back, which makes me sad.
That's an easy consensus, and I agree. 4 PCs is a good number to distribute the narrative load. I'll keep you guys posted as to when I make the official decision, or if Brinn gets back to me.

Kallik, I felt it would be a good fit with this character due to the lack of training. I've tried doing it that way with sorcerers before, but playing in person tends to reduce the RP aspects a lot. :-/

I honestly love your character. She is adorable and the chicken is hilarious.
I like Inam and Kallik. They are fun counterparts in our group.
BTW Inam...According to my character backstory It was a God that cursed him with rage as punishment for his disrespect. So I am continuing with it but also I have taken a dislike to So Kang so I am seeing what it takes to get under his skin.
No need to explain Ibinu. A little turmoil between characters is a good thing.

No worries, you never have to apologize for reacting appropriately toward someone like So Khong.

A little slow - maybe less people are interested in joining an existing game (as opposed to starting a new campaign)? I'm waiting on a couple submissions, hopefully hear something by this weekend.
If they work out, I'll let you know, but I'm not necessarily going to let someone join just because they were the only person to post a submission to the table.
Understandable. Not sure why it is slow. I have joined a few games late and it has bee a blast.
glad you aren't letting just anyone join. that usually goes rough from my experience both as a player, an add in, and a dm. Especially if they know they are the only one that "applied"

Update on the recruitment:
A couple candidates backed out, and the current ones keep delaying submitting their background, which I don't find very promising.
So, for now, we'll continue with 3. I'm not a fan of DMPCs, so I need to think on a good way to continue the story and remove Brinn gracefully. Until then, he'll still be around, and I'll do my best to RP him. He's not going to just get deleted from the scene because his player isn't around anymore.

And as tot he recruitment, that is unfortunate and I understand your reasoning. We can either go with three, someone could get a cohort and play two, or have a DMPC which you are not fond of. And that is understandable.
It was just too good an idea to say "no" to. You guys are the protagonists after all.
I'm going to wait till tomorrow to post my response. Looks like my company might be selling out so I had a few tonight and my thoughts aren't forming very well at the moment.
And....back to drinking. If you are going to do something, go all the way, right? :-P
