HAha Ares made Priscilla blush!
Andrek how soon can you get loot tracker up and running?
Gnome Lorewarden 1 / Witch 1 AC:13, FF:13, Th:11, HP 19/19, F4/R2/W1, Perc +2, Init +10
Sorry, I can't read most of the writing on the map.
Is the city we are starting in, Bard's Gate, the one along the river in the lower right?
I don't see anything I can read that looks like Valley of Shrines. But Lyre Valley was mentioned. Is that our destination?
Someone else in my other game couldn't read the map either.
I will try to fix it somehow in GIMP.
There is a high res B&W one in the module with no labels, I can upload that after I add some labels, but it covers a smaller region, not the whole trek. And it's not as good.
Sound's Like you are looking at the right city.

Check this out for now.

Here is an easier to read map but it doesn't cover the whole area

So, I was looking at the map...It looks like one of the easiest ways is to stay east of the Azor river most of the way. We can take the two grassy hexes to the NW of Bard's Gate, and then stop at the Citadel of the Griffins. Or even make camp before that. Then we can just follow the river north. Once we hit the second range of foothills we head northeast and take the Ancient Path to the Shrines. What do you guys think of that?
Yes!! I knew someone would come along who could read my crappy map.

Route sounds fine. Doesn't look like we will be able to entirely avoid the hills unless we go way out of our way. Beside foes can see you biggers lots farther away in the grasslands.

You folks want a single file or double file marching order?
Sounds like Andrek is being volunteered to lead. Correct?
I'm to squishy for the lead or trailing position. Just for some place to start I will suggest a marching order. (But I won't be as obnoxious as Wilfort would.) I will assume single file, but that can be easily changed.

That gets several with good perception at the front to hopefully not walk into something. Also one at the back with great perception to hopefully not allow someone to sneak up on the tail end of the line.
Trailer doesn't have a great AC, but has the HP to absorb some hits.
Leaves the casters in the center 'protected' positions.
Say what you like or don't like.
Glad fluffy cuddles avatar pic is working now.
DM Grimmy wrote: Glad fluffy cuddles avatar pic is working now. Yeah, don't know what the problem was there at first. The ankheg icons are the closest I could find to a scorpion.
You guys want me to store marching order under campaign info tab? Maybe do a single and double file version.

@ Lucia: Character knowledge is what I was using. I don't play PBPs all that much so I tend to be over polite to avoid crashing the game.
I'm fine with being in the back. Hopefully, the corridors are wide enough for me to join in any front fights.

Really, I just meant this for the march through the countryside. we may want a very different order once we actually arrive someplace.

Sorry all at work and it is busy
Tomorow is going to be a long work day with little to no posting from me. Running sound and lights for the Vagina Monologues at Smith College.
Probably offline from about 10AM until Midnight tomorow.
I'm here tonight if you guys are around.

At any rate I'm back, and I've caught up.
Sweet. I didn't even notice Priscilla. Considering several of us have had stuff come up the game looks extremely healthy to me.
If you guys have posted this much without getting to any action yet imagine how lively this will be when it gets cookin!
^^^Sorry lol I was so ired after work last night I called Lucia Priscilla.
Hey guys when you post your turn can you begin the post with a header like this:
Round X Init Y:
See my other games for examples (some people are in the habit more then others but most any combat you can see at least some of them making the effort to do it.)
It helps me tremendously to keep track of what's going on when I'm scanning the thread quickly.
I started a group wide discussion thread for the whole mega-campaign, everyone check in, I'm going to use it to make a few announcements over the next couple weeks.

Lol yes coffee and hotcakes
Everyone make sure you do the header thing when you post your turn, it's how I check if it's time for me to do something, I scan through the thread and count the headers to see who has gone.
Format like this:
Round X Init Y:
Sorry I didn't open Round 2 for so long.
Male Human Inquisitor of Muir 3 Init +3 | Per +8 | HP 25/29 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | F +5 R +2 W +5 | CMD 17
Dm Grimmy, if I could make a suggestion, after I go in round 2 and the wolves go, put me at the end of the round's actions instead of top of round 3. I do that in my game and then makes future rounds go easier (So you don't have to wait for 1 person at the top of the next round)
Lol.
Watch this I'm about to hit command V to paste what's in my clipboard:
"After Andrek goes I will go for the wolves, then I will move Andrek's next turn from the top of 3 to the bottom of 2 so you will all be in one block."
Hahaha, great minds!

Hey Andrek is that an inquisitor thing how you can retry knowledge checks?
Male Human Inquisitor of Muir 3 Init +3 | Per +8 | HP 25/29 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | F +5 R +2 W +5 | CMD 17
No, I accidentally injected one of my own house rules into that without thinking. In my home games I allow monster ID re-checks if failed as combat progresses. (But not general knowledge checks).
I'll do a better job at limiting myself to only 1 check.
Speaking of house rules you forget about and take for granted, I count diagonals as 5'
I'm going to get a start on filling out the gear spreadsheet today and I just realized I never asked what you guys did with the 30 lb case of holy water.

Ok cool I'm just looking at the loot tracker GM Blood hooked me up with, it's really nice for tracking WBL and encumbrance.
