Hailey, you might want to choose an avatar picture.
@Browman - are you concerned about carrying capacity? Do we need to count every stone?
I am not super concerned as long as people keep it reasonable. If you don't have a strength bonus and are carrying multiple weapons and a full backpack without penalties I will probably start asking questions.

So.. looks like everything is finished up. Let me know what you think.. and about any changes that you think may be needed. Just one quick question.. I took the feats that are listed under the barbarian tab, Do I get to choose another, or do I just get the rage and the fast movement?

look at table 3-1 on page 30 of the core rulebook. Level 1 characters get 1 feat.
Edit: How did your character get a sacred tattoo?

Also the initial post in the gameplay thread is up. No direct plot advancement at this point I figured the storm would give you a chance to meet each other as you seek shelter in the tavern.
I assume this means we can start posting things? :)

That would be correct. When it seems right I will move forward with plot stuff.

sacred tattoo is a Alternative racial trait that I used to replace orc ferocity.. or are you asking how it came to be in character history?
I will be adding a feat here shortly then.

I know it is an alternate racial trait, but there are no alternate racial traits in the core rulebook or ultimate equipment which are the only two books you guys can use. In order to avoid opening the can of worms that is all other potential books, please change it for the normal racial trait it replaces.

Just so I have absolute clarity on the rules for raging: The extra HP given from the CON bonus is lost at the end of the rage, no matter what, even if he took health damage exceeding the amount of health gained from the rage?
The extra HP is -just- so the rager will sustain consciousness until the end of his rage, if he sustains damage equal to that in-between margin during the rage?
Thank you.

Exactly, unlike temporary hit points which are lost first, raging temporarily increases your actual hit points. I have heard of barbarians dying when their rage ends because of the HP loss.

Whoah, thank you!!!! Also,
Don't feel bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been writing for awhile.
You just gotta find that flow, and let it swell into flooding.
In that moment, the pen becomes mightier than the sword. It's like dancing, music, and religious revelation all rolled up into one.
If you pursue it, it will come to you. Forsure.

Gm.. would you mind looking at my rage stats and making sure I did that right?
I noticed two things, first you are calculating the damage of your great weapon wrong both in and out of rage, it is a 2 handed weapon and therefore deals 1.5 X strength bonus instead of strength bonus damage. Rounding down if necessary. Your base attack bonus stacks with your strength bonus to calculate your total to hit bonus with melee weapons so you should have a +3 to hit when not raging and a +5 when raging.
Also do slings use strength or dex to hit?
Sir Rois Grave |
Slings are ranged weapons so they use DEX to hit. Also, you apply your STR to damage rolls with slings. Source
@Garekk - I think your HP should be 15. 12 +3 CON. You can raise this to 18 if you want if you take the Toughness feat.
Also, fast movement, rage, etc. are not feats. They are special abilities. Feats are their own unique stat.
All characters start with 1 feat (humans are an exception). Counting in your class' weapon and armor proficiencies, your feats should be: Light Armor Proficiency, Medium Armor Proficiency, Simple Weapons Proficiency, Martial Weapons Proficiency, + 1 of your choice.

This is very common. If not dying, then falling unconscious.
Basically, the adrenalin from rage is used up and the barbarian becomes exhausted - so much so that it could lead to death.
It's like in the movies where the hero gets shot and they don't know it until the action scene is over. Only then do they feel (and remember to act with) the pain of the wound.
The Endurance and Diehard feats are good because they can keep a character conscious with negative hit points - not enough to keep fighting but enough to drink a healing potion to get yourself back in the positives before rage ends.

I wonder if this will turn into medieval "Assault on Precinct 13" as mad cultists attack the tavern to get the baby :)
Or it could simply be that some Ustalavians consider being born at any time other than a beautiful sunny day to be a bad omen. and given to that days like that never happen in Ustalav. ..

This storm is brewing quickly, my darlings. I like how the formation of the party is playing out. It's already extremely organic, anddddd I think that this is going to be a very fun party composition, from a social standpoint.
Btw, you're all legit.

You are correct in my hit points, except that in taking a favored class, you get to choose to place either an extra HP or Skill point. Thats where I get 16 from. As for the rest, I will revise. Thank you for your input, guys!
Edit: fixed

I agree! This is already turning out rather well :3
With a bit of editing it could almost be turned into some sort of fantasy novel :P

Yes. They really bring a lot of life into the characters. It sets a tone for their characterization that is sooo subtle and subconscious that it really helps me get into character.

"Lastwall has long depended on volunteers from Ustalav. Many of our bravest soldiers are from southern Calphas. But, recently, recruitment from this area has dwindled." Rois pauses before continuing, not sure how much to tell the stranger...
"I'm here as a representative of my Order to try and find reason to this strange, new pattern. And, if it is needed, help bring normalcy back to Silvam. I want to believe the low recruitment is because of natural causes, but, I suspect far more troubling answer. Voryn, you are from around here, are you not? Can you shed any light to my mystery?"
@Browman What does Voryn know?

I am enjoying the RP so far. I k ow I lead with a curveball and you all, GM included, adapted beautifully.
In all my years of gaming, I never once thought that I would be RPing helping someone give birth. BRILLIANT!

Just as an aside, in case it's not clear enough, when I post in italics as Hailey, unless I'm using them in dialogue to emphasize a single word, Hailey's italics are merely thoughts, not words.
I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea or get offended. Hailey is a creature who straddles the line between light and darkness, in a 49/51 % way. And she will behave accordingly.

Your RP is fine and very entertaining. However, can you please bold the sentences when your character does talk out loud?
That will help limit any confusion on the reader's part.

DM, is the closet in the same room as the baby or is it in the other room where everyone else is?
I ask because, she she was sent to investigate the rumors of necromancy magic and the return of the undead, any discussion about the undead attacking people would instantly capture Hailey's attention if she were around to hear it.
