"Somebody has to alert the sheriff and mayor about what happened here, especially since the Kaijitsu patron is currently encased in a glass tomb," Vandra explained to Helgarr. "I suggested giving the goblin to Hosk because he has a history with goblins and would know how to make it squeal."

After searching the first floor, the heroes end their search having found almost nothing. The place has been completely ransacked. Sacks, crates, barrels and more have been destroyed, their contents emptied. Safes have been broken into, valuable materials have been taken. The only thing that was found was within the servant's quarters. This room is stained red by the massacre that took place, although the bodies were dragged away later for... amusement. Within the quarters, Maria noticed a letter written in the Tian language, along with a single gold piece.

The party also discovered a flight of stairs that lead to the basement. You have not investigated it yet.

As Maria quickly stealths down the stairs, she notices a stone corridor that stretches 40 ft. in front of her before turning out of sight, and to her left is a small 10 ft. hallway that has tons of ruined bricks laying on the floor. The small hallways turns sharply to the right.

As Maria enters, she hears goblin squabbling coming from around the stone corridor, along with the sound of wood being thrown on the floor. The squabbling is quickly silenced, before a loud goblin voice is heard. A few seconds of silence pass...

As everyone races into the corridor, two burning glass bottles sail right into Furnok and Azeri. With two huge blasts, everything within 10 feet bursts into a fiery explosion. The goblins in question are hiding behind large crates at the very back of the long room. To the left, about 10 ft. away from Furnok and Azeri, lies a tight hallway with more bricks laying on the ground, similar to the small hallway they saw earlier.

Helgarr, Furnok, and Cleo:

You hear a door close behind you (or down the stairs, in Cleo's case).

Guess it doesn't matter now everybody's wound up. I was stealthing forward to get a sneak attack. But Furnok just charged in. shrugsI take a movement penalty for sneaking anyways.

Azeri only took 2 Damage in the last fight so he is currently on 9/25. I'm just on my way to work now. Will be back at around 6pm NL time. If my turn comes up before then feel free to Bot me. Azeri charges and uses his Slam to open, with the charge he is at a +7 to hit and does a d8+3, and Ali will throw an Acid Splash or if he is not close enough, fire his Crossbow. Both the Acid Splash and the Crossbow are at a -1 to dice because of in Combat Penalties or a +3 if he has a target who isnt tgreatened. I hate being busy. :-/ Haha Later guys!

Back up the stairs, the tied up goblin seems rather calm. She looks at Cleo as if she wants to say something.

Sense Motive DC 10:
The goblin is simply trying to distract Cleo

Furnok charges into the fray with his giant hammer. Behind the crates, he now sees that the goblins each have a floating shield protecting them. It deflects Furnok's hammer with ease. Furthermore, Furnok can see that although these red-green goblins are unarmored, they seem to have particularly strong leathery hide. Each goblin carries a lit torch, and tons of potions, elixers, and other bottled oddities.

"You should not have come here." says a deep voice (in common) from behind the group. Coming around the corner, a calm but serious looking half elf man approaches Ali and Vandra. He carries with him a finely crafted shortbow with a quiver, and a potion. He is not wearing armor of any kind, and his clothes look dirty and stained. Even from here, the smell of alcohol is staggering. Instead of shooting from afar, he walks right up to the two casters. Targeting Vandra, the man tries to punch him in the stomach, but Vandra is too nimble.
