Horatius Lartius |
A warm sea breeze blew across Absalom ruffling Horatiuses hair as he made his way through the city and out towards the Copperwood. The early morning breeze was especially pleasant after his recent journey through the frozen lands of Irrisen. Even now, weeks later, the cold seemed to linger in his bones. He gave thanks to Erastil once again that the weather had been particularly sunny of late which helped to melt away the chill.
When he reached the outlying town he greeted those he knew as he passed. Horatius often came to the town to offer his aid to the people who's work kept the mighty city running. Today though he was heading to the simple temple of Erastil just outside of the town. Once there he respectfully presented himself to the keeper of the shrine and then began going through the rites and worship appropriate from one of Erastils warriors. These included such things as silent prayer, tending the gardens about the shrine, and training with his bow and sword.
After a full day of such activities Horatius washed off in a nearby stream and then returned to the shrine to share an evening meal with the clerics who dwelt there. During their discussions the Keeper mentioned rumors that the Pathfinder Society had uncovered information about a corrupt druid circle using magic to bend men into beasts. Horatius had not heard this but pledged to do what he could to join whichever party the Society sent out to root out this affront to Erastil.
When he returned to the Lodge he sought an audience with Ollysta Zadrian. He spoke to her of what he had learned and asked that she might use her influence to get him assigned to the task of ending this threat.
"Lady Zadrian, I would be much honored if you would recommend me for this mission. The corruption of men into beasts is an affront to Erastils order. He calls on us to strike a balance with nature where humanities wisdom and compassion lead natures beauty and might. I would set my will and sword to this task aiding my fellows both in combat as well as in delivering justice for those bent by fell magics. Beyond Old Deadeyes interest in this it is only right that the Silver Crusade be represented in putting a stop to such fell activities."
Sarrat K'alt |
"Pthsst....pthssst!"
A voice is heard from the shadows behind a locked grate covering the low runoff tunnel that serves as the sewer for the local jail. Suddenly, bright, crystal red eyes appear in the darkness.
"Pthsst! Mista', please, I need assistance. Those little metal straps, by that dwarf's forge...right there by your feet. Please kick it over here...I need just one, please!"
Alarmed yelling is suddenly heard from inside the jail, followed by many sets of scuffling feet, sounding if a group is running through the jail.
Sarrat's scaly hand shoots from the grate, rattling the large lock holding the grate closed, a long finger pointing frantically towards the small pile of discarded metal pieces.
"Pleasssse, just one! I will be in your debt! My skills...they are renowned. Surely, I could be use to you?" Sarrat pleads. "Just kick one to me and keep walking...I will find you, I promise."

If you so choose to assist this lowly Tiefling, the young rogue's services will be yours for this adventure.
Rickmeister |
I'm starting this show next monday the 24th of June. Those still interested please say so below this line, so I'm certain I don't pick up "strays" :D
Please include a little bit about yourself (e.g. Sarrat and Horatius) and post with the character that applies.
Please remember that I really require you to put in some work. 1/day post (bare minimum) and not just a single sentence. I allow a lot of room for roleplaying amongst the players, so please use this for the benefit of you all.
People already in the game:

Dex Hannover |
Still very interested if there is a spot.
Dex is a somewhat surly, speaks his mind kind of character. He is clearly not the face of any party, preferring more clandestine paths to getting what he wants. He's no Robin Hood, he's clearly out for personal gain, but if he sees things woefully out of balance he's likely to step in and assist, even if it isn't apparent that there is anything in it for him.
He's dressed in dark, almost black leather, with dark blue, almost midnight colored shirt, cloak and pants. He tends to find a place in the shadows and likes to observe what's going on before calculating his next move. He is very comfortable with his rapier but prefers the timing and accuracy that his bow affords him.
Makena Nyambose |
Makena Nyambose, female mwangi bard (dervish dancer). Just completed a PFS scenario in another PbP thread. Jack-of-All trades: a little melee, a little ranged, a little healing, some nice skills (including disable device), some arcane power. A versatile character to have in the group. Unfortunately, due to the dervish dancer archetype options, she'll only start dishing out real damage when she reaches the next level, but that's just something I have to deal with. ;)
Backstory can be found in the profile.
Bayani Nishu |
Interested here, would like to progress this elf of mine...
Bayani was a lone elf on an island of the Minata archipelago, and learned magic and the ways of the magus from his mother and a group of wayang spellhunters. When his mother passed away, he left, deciding to get as far away as he could, and wound up in Absalom. He's undertaken just one mission for his lodge so far, but now is hearing rumors that the Lantern Lodge may not be part of the pathfinders much longer. He would like to know more about the other factions, especially Qadira, as the techniques of the Dervish Dancers seem fascinating. He is a technically proficient dancer, but always seems to have difficulty engaging the crowd, and never can manage to talk easily with others.
Darius Marel |
I am very interested as well. I have two level 1's, but I was very interested in trying out my rogue here (can bring a divine caster if need is greater there).
Darius Marel considers himself a bit of rascal. Born in Andoran he grew restless with life on the family farm, and struck out seeking adventure in his early twenties. He is tall and uses his good looks to his advantage whenever possible - whether it be wooing young barmaids or smoothing things over with the local guards.
He has a good, kind heart but a free spirit that sometimes gets him into trouble. Over the years he's become practiced in wielding two weapons and has many useful skills.
You can find his basic stats via the link in his name - I will be adding feats, traits, and other details later today.
Kumari Azar |
I was really beginning to wonder about this game getting started.
Kumari is a Taldoran woman of Kelishite stock. Growing up a minority was a hard life in Taldor and Kumari is even now constantly wary of trouble. Despite these hardships she has a deep love for the art and fashions of Oppara. Though she spends most of time away from home, she makes an effort to look and act as a fine lady of the city would. Her religion and passionate defense of the less fortunate has occasionally put her on the wrong side of the law, so she has more in common with the wide variety of entertainers, vagabonds, and criminals who she has met on the road than many would expect. However, she knows that wherever her travels take her, the Dawnflower will protect her.
Kumari is a Cleric with a little blasting via Fire Domain. She has a decent array of face skills, and heal but is not much else skillwise.
