I'll take a +1 ring (to answer a question Zoli posed a little while ago). Also, I've claimed the staff of heaven and earth, so I'll have to deduct that from my proceeds. I'd like to upgrade my headband to +4. I should have the money for it even if I don't get anything from this haul due to the staff going to me.

Zoli Tileani |

OK, loot from Jorgenfist--and the journey to get here--to date adds up to: 42,765.49 GP.
(Eugeni, I'm assuming you'll take 2,450.33 GP less and give that to Z, to pay back your loan).
Have fun shopping!
BTW, at this point--or really, a long time ago--a cracked dusty rose prism (granting +1 competence to Init) for 500 GP is a steal. I'd suggest everyone get one!
EDIT:
I know I want:
- a wand of Darkvision (4500 GP for 50 charges, each lasting 3 hours). No more stumbling around in the dark!!
- duelist's gloves (15K for +2 to hit/damage)
Also thinking about an unfettered shirt (FoM 1/day for 10K seems pretty worth it, but open to opinions).
I really want to increase the enchantment on my buckler, armor, and maybe scimitar and belt...but to do that would presumably take longer than we've got for a quick shopping trip.

A divine spellcaster chooses and prepares spells ahead of time, but unlike a wizard, does not require a period of rest to prepare spells. Instead, the character chooses a particular time of day to pray and receive spells. The time is usually associated with some daily event. If some event prevents a character from praying at the proper time, she must do so as soon as possible. If the character does not stop to pray for spells at the first opportunity, she must wait until the next day to prepare spells.
For example, Sabrina prays at night.

Eugeni Silva |

So, you want us to level now, or wait?
Going to work on shopping here in a little bit.

Rilee Stormborn |

I'm mostly leveled. I don't get much in the way of fancy class features this level. Just sixth level spells, which of course is nothing to sneeze at.
I also get a feat, and I'm a bit torn. I could go with Greater Spell Penetration, since cutting through SR is always useful. I could also go with Spell Focus: Evocation since I do have a fair number of blasty type spells.
Lastly, I'd probably need Thron's permission, but since I'm an aasimar right now, I meet the prereqs for Celestial Servant.
Rather than being a normal animal or beast, your companion or familiar hails from the heavenly realms.
Prerequisites: Aasimar, animal companion, familiar, or mount class feature.
Benefit: Your animal companion, familiar, or mount gains the celestial template and becomes a magical beast, though you may still treat it as an animal when using Handle Animal, wild empathy, or any other spells or class abilities that specifically affect animals.
It'd be a pretty nice boost for good old Olympus. (Mainly the DR and resistances. The smite is nice too, but mainly the DR.)
Then, as for the purchases, I'm sitting at a little more than 34,000 gp, deducting the half value of the staff from my proceeds. I was thinking of going with a wisdom Headband +4, and then maybe some upgraded armor. However, I noticed the warden of the woods and the scarab breastplate. Both would provide some handy defense and some nifty options. They're expensive and would force me to eschew the headband until our next shopping excursion.
Does anyone have an opinion?

Zoli Tileani |

Rilee, of the two armors, the scarab one seems awesome--giving you vermin shape, as well as a swarm attack--where the wood warden one seems underwhelming. (How often do you want to attack in melee if you’re not wildshaped, anyway?)
The other armor option is something with the Wild property. If you're buying it for the AC, a +1 Wild dragonhide breastplate gives you +7 AC in and out of your wildshapes, for 16,700 GP. It’s hard to choose between that and the Scarab. The Scarab isn’t as nice protection...but you get to make webs and have nasty poisons and do other verminous things.
And comparing to the headband? The WIS boost might be your best bet, mechanically...but keep in mind that you’re selling off your +2 band at half price and paying full for the +4. If you paid someone to upgrade your headband later, you’d only pay full price on the diff. Also, there’s a chance we’ll start getting +4 stat items in the loot soon. (We’re already finding weapons worth > 18K)...where your chance of finding druidic armor is pretty darn slim.
Does that help?
By the way, Eugeni, did you see that the loot includes a +2 WIS headband? Actually a couple, but you're the only one who might want it.
Also, there's a yet unclaimed +2 ring of protection. (I claimed one of the two...and both Eugeni and Rilee asked to trade for my +1 ring...but clearly one of you should take the second +2 ring instead.)

Eugeni Silva |

Are we doing the buyout method? I forget. If so, I get the headband for half price, correct?

Eugeni Silva |

Eugeni starts with
40364.67
Headband of Wisdom +2 from loot (-2k)
Winged Boots (-16k)
Since we don't have time to actually upgrade existing items (I assume) I'm going to hold off on other purchases for now.
22,364.67 left.

Setsuna Kailani |

Suggestions for Eugeni:
Pay off loan from Zoli?
Broom of Flying instead of the Boots. It lets you fly for much longer (albeit at a slower speed), and it's only 1,000 gp more. Granted, it is immensely more silly as well.
Twos Wands of Mage Armor. Setsuna now has a nice (tentative) +10 to UMD, and Eugeni has no armor bonus currently. Two wands allows her to recast if she rolls a Nat 1, which causes the Wand to short for the day. However, as long as she does not roll a 1, she can otherwise reroll as much as she wants. Mage Armor lasts longer than Shield of Faith, gives a bigger bonus, and costs much less per wand. 1,500 gp total.
Eyes of the Eagle. +5 to Perception for 2,500 gp. Unless I'm missing something, Eugeni does not have any eye slot items.
A weapon cord or two. Just in case. 1 sp each.

Eugeni Silva |

That starting total above is after paying off the loan. Broom of flying just sounds like a painful wedgie and nutcracking machine, especially if operated while using a bow. No thanks!
I would rather upgrade my bow to +3, and that’a gonna need like 30kish, so saving the rest for that next time we’re in town. If I’m geting my ac attacked there is aleady something majorly wrong.

Zoli Tileani |

hehehehehehe
meanwhile, Zoli wants to buy:
- Duelist Gloves - 15K
- Swordsmaster's Flair (blue scarf) - 2.5K
- Wand of Darkvision - 4.5K
- Cracked Dusty Rose Prism - 500 GP
BTW, I recommend that *everyone* put a Cracked Dusty Rose Prism on their shopping list. At this level, 500 GP to improve our party's chance of going first is a steal!

Setsuna Kailani |

Unfortunately, the Cracked Dusty Rose Prism isn't PRD, and Thron prefers that we use the PRD.
My List:
Sleeves of Many Garmets - 200 gp
Belt of Mighty Constitution +2 - 4000 gp
Flint and Steel - 1 gp
Canteen - 1 gp
Canteen - 1 gp
Bountiful Bottle - 4000 gp
Potion of Ward the Faithful (CL 18) - 2700 gp
Bag of Holding II - 5000 gp - Kinda Already Nabbed from Temple of Iomedae
Stone of Good Luck - 20000 gp
Wand of Infernal Healing - 750 gp
Page of Spell Knowledge (Tears to Wine) - 4000 gp - Thron Approved

Zoli Tileani |

Wow, I'm glad I asked. That's pretty amazing! +4 to AC and saves for 180 min / day for a total of less than the cost of a +2 ring. Nice find!

DM Thron |

Okay guys, I have the map for the next section (assuming you guys are going further into the caverns, which is where Conna says Mokmurian is).
Check in once you have your sheets updated, leveled, and are ready to go!
Also, make any last-minute preparations you want to make before proceeding further into the caverns. I am placing your tokens to where Conna says the tunnel is that leads to the lower levels...
Also...Eugeni...there was a tidbit of info that only you noticed back during the last fight.

Rilee Stormborn |

Well, I looked it up, and Sabrina was wrong. The amulet of mighty fists +2 is 20,000, not 16,000 like she said. Had it been 16,000, I'd be able to buy the +4 headband, the amulet and the 1,000 gp diamond to bring back Olympus in case he buys it.
As it stands, now that instead of costing 31,000 gp (including the existing headband getting traded in), it now costs 35,000. I have 32,000 and some change.
So, before I go back shopping, does anyone want to float me 3,000 gp?

Setsuna Kailani |

Sabrina wasn't wrong. It is 16,000 gp. Paizo lowered the prices in an FAQ three to four years ago.
The design team has decided to reduce the price of this item. The new prices are as follows: 4,000 gp (+1), 16,000 gp (+2), 36,000 gp (+3), 64,000 gp (+4), 100,000 gp (+5). Accordingly, this reduces the costs to create these amulets, as follows: 2,000 gp (+1), 8,000 gp (+2), 18,000 gp (+3), 32,000 gp (+4), 50,000 gp (+5).
This makes this item priced a bit more competitively for monks and creatures that rely on natural attacks.
This answer originally appeared in the 12/4/12 Paizo blog. The next printing of the Core Rulebook, NPC Codex, and Ultimate Equipment will be updated with this information.

Rilee Stormborn |

Okay, great! I'm surprised the prd hadn't been updated, since that was where I was looking. I knew the price had been lowered, but didn't know what the values were.

Zoli Tileani |

Updated and ready to go. Might as well ask Conna for some more blur love before we move on...And very excited to learn in character what only Eugeni noticed.
EDIT Rilee, it seems you don't need a lone any more but if you or someone does, The First Bank of Z is happy to help.

Setsuna Kailani |

Just in case I don't get the chance to post in-character, before we depart down the tunnel, Setsuna spawns her shadow armor. She also spawns her inky wings, invoking new option to make them last for 11 hours per day instead of 11 minutes in exchange for a slower flight speed (60 feet to 40 feet).
I also recommend that everyone takes a swig of the Tears to Wine for a +5 enhancement bonus to your Int and Wis skills.

Eugeni Silva |

It's either work on this or move Absalom along, so this is going to have to wait for now. (~_~)*
Sorry for holding things up.

Zoli Tileani |

Eugeni, when you're ready to post, here's the relevant spoiler

Eugeni Silva |

Getting Eugeni leveled and posting in gameplay is on my to do list today. Will get on that in an hour or two.

Eugeni Silva |

Eugeni starts with

Headband of Wisdom +2 from loot (-2k)
Winged Boots (-16k)Since we don't have time to actually upgrade existing items (I assume) I'm going to hold off on other purchases for now.

24,364.67 gold left. Working on leveling up now.

Eugeni Silva |

As I was leveling up I noticed herolab had given me 6 HP per monk d8 before Con mod instead of 5 for some reason. Dunno wtf it was thinking, but I fixed that as well. (~_~)*
Everything should be updated on my sheet. I took extra rage for my feat, a level of bloodrager. Nothing too fantastic.
