You see a dark shape crouched low in the bush. You still can't completely make it out from the shadows but it has a distinctive canine appearance and large ears. It is tiny.

i go into the bush and try to grapple it if possible, i take the attack of opportunity if there is one.

grapple: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

'it looks like a tiny canine, most likely a fox'

is this within 5 mins of our last fight? if not how much time has passed.


You easily grab hold of it as it yelps and starts to thrash and grow in your hands.

its been about 5 minutes you havent gone far. You can feel your magics fading but they are still in effect.

The HArlequin takes out a book and starts reading, wile eating come crackers. Every now and then she chuckes to herself at some joke in the book.

The ball of red fur continues to grow slipping from Tronaths grasp. You can tell now that it is humanoid and it no longer fits underneath the bush. It has a well developed muscle structure and brilliant red fur with large almost comical ears popping out of it's head. It's snout is still not full sized as you hear the bones crunching about finishing it's change.

Sic will take a defensive posture and ready an attack if it looks like the thing will attack him otherwise he'll just watch and wait.

damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11


The foxes snout finishes growing as he lashes out at Tronath whom he sees as a threat.

Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Damage:1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Fort save DC 15 if it hits

Seeing his attack fail it seems a bit worried as it moves away from Tronath and behind a tree breaking a charge line from tronath to it. You can all still see it, however tronath cannot charge. You hear an interesting whine start eminating from it's mouth. Those with know(nature) easily recognize it as a distress call.

It provokes AoO from you Tronath, also Sicsivicus is that ready action just if it attacks you or would it attacking Tronath trigger it? Merran you are next.

Merran swipes his paw at the fox thing, and three brilliant green claw shaped missiles spring forth from it and pierce the lycanthropes' hide.

Magic Missile 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) + 3 = 8

i am 90% sure that if i dont pin, then we are still grappled, and it would have to make a combat maneuver check to get out, or escape artist check to get out.


your roll was technically to maintain the grapple. If you succeed then you get the option to pin or other things for free. You failed to maintain so he gets free.


From Grapple Rules:

Once you are grappling an opponent, a successful check allows you to continue grappling the foe, and also allows you to perform one of the following actions (as part of the standard action spent to maintain the grapple).

oh sorry, i dont deal with grapple that much, so i can get a little confused on how it all flows together.
