Good. I have fractal mapper poised and at your disposal.

Getting married on Sunday - updates even more erratic. Sorry!

Gratz Fabes! (I didn't see THAT on the other threads!) ;P

Well, I have a question for you guys & Gals.

I confess I've only been peeking a bit, (have enough trouble keeping up with the games I'm IN!) But I'm wondering how/if you like the SW system so far. I'm just curious as to how you like it, as I'm ALWAYS looking for new systems to play, add to my already overburdened collection of gamey goodness,... etc.

SO, comments? Likes? Dislikes? too early to tell yet? AGain just curious, not looking to form the new "Must have' Or Must Hate' webpage. ;) (yet!) ;P

Thx all! HAve great weekend! (Esp YOU Fabes!) :D

Human

Still getting to grips with using the system well, but it's simple and I like it personally.

The one thing that's leaped out so far is that combat can be pretty lethal.

Lethal if you invest in a combat worthy skill and use your bennies. Getting the jump on the opposition gives a HUGE advantage, much more so than a surprise round in D&D. Which is both quite realistic and cinematic. You were able to smush the first group of bandits, and I fully expect you to do the same with these guys.

One aspect that is intriguing about combat, is that you don't necessarily know the status of anyone until the end, which lends a certain urgency to helping allies, as well as the tricky situation (as you discovered) of what to do with prisoners.

I will be interested to see how the combat system handles the 5 of you vs a large solo opponent.

Hi gang, I am on honeymoon from tomorrow, and won't be back til 18 Sep.

Retrieving this from the archives.

We seem to keep stalling, which is a pity. I like Pavla and the other characters very much and I'm enjoying the system, but it's hard to keep any continuity going.

I think it's one of those Stall problems, if someone hasn't posted in time GM posts for them...

SOmething I've learned running games, weekends are ALMOST ALWAYS slow...

We were running fin up until the Honeymoon heh...

We just need to get BACK in the swing.

Let's scout around Stag Lord's area, that's six hexes, if we're still too weak or fragmented after that it quits

I have NP having the GM control me if I'm lagging.

OK, cool. That was pretty much what I was going to suggest. I will cut to the chase with some of the exploration, which is tricky to convey in PbP.

The honeymoon was awesome - my wife and I had such a great time but it was tricky getting back into the swing of things.

Operation: Ardell

What do we think? My feeling is to recruit someone to take him over.

Ker-bump.

Male Humanoid Lurker 1/ Nerd 1

Yeah, I also say we try to find a replacement. Otherwise we'd have to phase him out or just pretend he never existed.

Yes, welcome to the party new guy, is he going to take over, or new build? Could be one of the bandits changing his ways?

Ideally take over Ardell, for the sake of continuity.

ADVANCEMENT

Now you have accumulated 5 points you have been granted an Advance. An Advance lets you do one of the following:

- Gain a new Edge
- Increase a skill that is equal to or greater than its linked attribute by one die type
-Increase two skills that are lower than their linked attributes by one die type each
-Buy a new skill at d4
-Increase one attribute by a die type*

*You may only choose this option once per rank. No Trait may be raised above a d12.

You are currently at 10XP and in the Novice Rank range (0-19 XP).

M Human

So I downloaded the king maker rules. We are running those and what else? I lost most of my shortcuts.

Here's the link to the basic rules. The Kingmaker Player's Guide is only useful as background. None of the rules content pertains to Savage Worlds (as it was written for Pathfinder).

Savage Worlds rules (should you need them)

Human

Taking new power edge and the power will be Healing. At some point we're going to need it.

I think I'm going with Beast Master, but I might go with Melee and Shooting increases. I have to think on it.

I think I'll pick up Frenzy, because two attacks a round just isn't good enough.

M Human

Korren may want to check Frenzy I think it is listed as a "S" I believe we can only take "N" edges correct?

Ardell will opt for First Strike.

You are correct: you can only take Novice Edges.

Dammit, missed that. I'll be taking Berserk instead.

Took Beast Master for the Ranger aspect. So I'll be getting an animal companion soon. Let me know what I get.

M Human

Took First strike - First Strike (Automatically attack one foe who moves adjacent per round). I guess My question on it is, is the attack in addition to my normal move, attack?

Example- enemy moves to attack but as soon as he is adjacent I get to attack first? Would that be my attack for my turn?

Here's the complete text for First Strike (inc Errata):

Once per turn the hero (if not Shaken) gets a free Fighting attack against a single foe who moves adjacent to him. This automatically interrupts the opponent's action, and does not cost the hero his action if he is on Hold or has not acted this round.

So, yes, it's a free extra attack.

M Human

happy holidays to you all!!

Hi gang, I'm away until Sunday night GMT.

Hi folks, just wanted to get some feedback - if I were to start this game up again, would you be willing to convert the characters over to 4E?

Already have a 4e version of Korren statted up. (Well, I statted him up months ago for the hell of it.)

So FAbes is done with our game due to personal time restrictions, I'm willing to attempt to take over the game IN Savage Worlds. NOT 4e.

Let me know if everyone wants to continue.

Um....
Is this still going?

I would love to join if you are open to new folks?
I am rather skilled at Savage Worlds so the system would not be an issue.

New to PBP however so I could use coaching on entering character data and using dice rollers etc.

Thanks
