Sorry, I've been away in EuroDisney for the weekend, just got back.

I feel bad for having completely misread the introduction, not once but twice. Will amend Nicias's background to make it Cassomir, not Zimir.

Sovereign Court

OK, done.

Just out of curiosity, which district of Cassomir is the Pike and Tankard situated in?

The Exchange

Rolling...

Str: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 1, 1) = 17
Dex: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 5) = 13
Con: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1, 6) = 14
Int: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 2) = 8
Wis: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 2, 5) = 13
Cha: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5, 1, 6, 5) = 28

Oh noes! I hate tanking int >.<

Final stats: 15 str, 11 dex, 13 con, 7 int, 11 wis, 17 cha.

No worries Gavmania. The Pike and Tankard Inn is in the Imperial Naval Shipyards.

Background
Bahram was a former blade of the Dawnflower, but after he took a blow to his head trying to free Varaso from the gnoll slavers, leaving him with addled wits and a permanent limp, he was left in Zimir with Varaso. When he bemoaned that his life was over, the healers told him he could still start his life anew by picking up a new trade, and there was always a shortage of healers around. He picked up what he could from them, then with Varaso's help, set up a herbalists shop in Zimar. He has been a family friend of Varaso for many years, and Basila looks at him as her uncle(his shop was her playground when she was younger). Bahram's greatest regret is that he failed to save Varaso's wife 12 years ago. He could only watched helplessly as she slipped away from this world, despite his best efforts. Varaso, the good hearted man he was, never blamed him, but still he blamed himself for being unable to save her and her unborn child. When Varaso moved to Casomir, he moved along with his old friend.

Basila knows that her Uncle Bahram might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he has a kind heart and always tries to help others. When she was younger, he'd sometimes entertain her with colourful lights display, telling her not to tell anyone, it was their little secret. Basila now takes Varaso's place in helping Bahram keep the books (he complains that numbers give him a headache).

OK, makes sense. You mention being able to see the lights on the Imperial docks in your intro.

Quiet.

Looks like a fun list of characters to pick from. should be a fun game no matter who gets in. Good luck all.

Sorry for the late post. I had to make a difficult decision as you will see below.

First of all thank you for everyone who showed some interest in this campaign. An extra thank you for those that saw it through to the end because I ended getting 12 people (nods to ElegantlyWasted). That means I will be running two tables of this campaign provided everyone is still interested.

As a sidenote there will be some differences in the adventure between table 1 and 2. They will be separate from each other and exist in their own 'universe' (i.e., no crossovers). On top of that there will be subtle differences between the two in certain areas.

Here are the two tables... <queue orcish drums>

Table 1:
Mimesyne – Nhilune Rilyn'rahel (Changeling Witch)
Profession Smith 6 ranks – Amigail Trentwell (Human Fighter)
Rhanloi Ehlyss – Lanarial (Elf Wizard)
Alledueces Undertow (Halfling Bard)
Just a Mort - Bahram (Half orc Oracle)
ElgantlyWasted - Lothenlieth Farstrider (Elf Swashbuckler/Magus)

Table 2:
Cadenza - Innis (Changeling Cleric/Sorceror)
Tazo – Kirzon (Dwarf Druid)
He'sDeadJim – Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria (Elf Inquisitor)
MattZ – Lililinda, Fashion Designer (Gnome Enchanteress)
TawnyKnight – Him'Wazir nar Maekra (Human Swashbuckler)
Gavmania - Nicias (Human Alchemist)

All players for Table 1 please dot the discussion thread.

I will need to create a new thread for Table 2. Please click link for Table 2 party members.

Monday April 9 will be when the actual adventure begins for both tables. Over the next week we will be weaving together individual storylines in the discussion tab and roleplaying in the gameplay tab.

More to come...

Woohoo! Everyone wins!

I believe in Win-Win :)

Here is the link for Table 2

Great, looking forward to it :) Congrats all!

The Exchange

Getting the following error on the discussion thread (Table 1)

"The Game Master has not yet connected the discussion thread for this campaign."

April 9th? You mean May 9th? :P

oops thanks Mort.

May 9 and the discussion thread is open for Table 1!

It seems that I need a replacement for my campaign:

The Reaping Stone (Table 1)

Character Creation:
Dice Pool 27 dice. Assign a number of dice from your pool to each attribute (minimum 4 dice per attribute). Roll assigned dice and keep 3 highest results. Rolls can only be further modified by racial modifiers. ALL rolls must be made in Recruitment thread.

Classes allowed: NO occult/psionics/gestalt/summoners/3pp.
Archetypes are fine except for Unchained and no 3pp.

Races allowed: All CORE (Only CORE can use Alternate Racial traits). Plus the following - Tiefling, Ifrit, Oread, Sylph, Undine, Samsrans, Changelings

Start at level 2: Max HP for both levels. All levels following that you will roll and keep score.

Traits: 2 (NO Flaws and/or Campaign traits)

Wealth: 1000 gp

Alignment: Non-evil

This campaign is the first one that I have GM'ed for pbp and I've been fairly consistent posting and moving the story along.

If you are interested then make your rolls on this thread and decide what class you'd like to be. Here is the make up of the party you can decide for yourself what fits best for you.

Halfling Bard
Human Fighter (Buckler Duelist)
Elf Wizard
Human Cleric
Changeling Witch

**I would add one last thing if you are interested please make sure you can commit to posting 1 to 2 times a day. I am on frequently during the weekdays (EST) and the more you post the faster the game moves along.**

i have a paladin i'm working on would that work with the group? also how does the dice pool thing work, i'm not to familiar with the rolling method for that .

you have a pool of 27 dice

assign your die to a stat until the total number equals 27

so if you were hoping for a paladin you might go like this:

Str 5d6
Dex 4d6
Con 4d6
Int 4d6
Wis 5d6
Chr 5d6

Then from each roll you take the 3 highest die results.

str 5d6: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 1, 4) = 16 = 14
dex 4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 2, 6) = 14 = 13
con 4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 2) = 11 = 9
int 4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 5) = 19 = 17
wis 5d6: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 5, 1) = 17 = 13
chr 5d6: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 3, 3, 5) = 21 = 15

Beware though the dice fey are tricky and you'll find you might not get the stats you are expecting.

If you ask why I use this system? In my mind it gives a more realistic character. Everyone loves to min/max a characters stats this curbs that. It hasn't stopped anyone from enjoying the games that I run so far.

ohhh that's pretty easy to understand also requires a bit of thinking

hopefully Rng is on my side today then

dice Rolls:

Str: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 6, 1) = 17
Dex: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 1, 1) = 7
con: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 4) = 16
int: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 5) = 19
wis: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 2, 5) = 15
cha: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6, 3, 6) = 24

Str 14
dex 5
con 13
int 16
wis 13
cha 17

not a fan of the 5 dexterity but i can deal, anyway i'll finish up the character asap. Shouldn't be to hard, still going half elf paladin. anything else i need to know?

I'll probably end up putting the racial modifier into dexterity to bump that to 7.

^Or you could go Oradin. Grabbing one of the Cha to AC revelations.

Also:

Str- 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 6, 1) = 15
Dex- 5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2, 1, 4) = 18
Con- 5d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 1, 3) = 11
Int- 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5) = 13
Wis- 5d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 5, 1) = 16
Cha- 5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 2, 1) = 12

Str- 14
Dex- 15
Con- 10
Int- 13
Wis- 12
Cha- 10

Edit: that's uh....that's NPC level stats. Technically a 17-point buy, but dang, that sucks.

A small blurb on what brings your character to Cassomir.

Current PCs backgrounds are tied to two specific NPCs, but for now any new players don't need to worry about that.

actually that's a good idea a level in oracle would do good. Still putting the racial mod in dex. something about a stat below 7 bothers me.

Link to profile

Should be pretty much done, i'm going to go into a bit more detail with the character's backstory at some point but the reason she is i n Cassomir is in the background.

There's a link to a Mythweaver's character sheet for her on the profile as well. I can put it in the actual profile if needed.

Other than that everything should be set
