Calahdrel's player has let me know that his personal life is taking up his time and he intends to drop the game. So once again we're down to three players. I plan to continue on and hopefully recruit some more folks!

Life has become less chaotic. Knock on wood. If you'd have me, I'd be happy to rejoin the game. I see you've recruited a Man of Bree so I'm not sure if my prior Lady of Bree is now redundant? But I am willing to make a new character to fill out the team if it helps.
Hello, Tilly! You're welcome back any time. Two "Men of Bree" would be fine with me but honestly we haven't heard from Lister's player for awhile, so I'm not sure we have ANY Men of Bree at the moment.

Ok, so I have a few questions while determining my next action and I thought I would ask here instead of doing a lot of OOC posts.
First, how far from the camp are we? I have the Staunching Song which technically happens at the end of the fight but I see it as I launch into the song at the start of the fight to be more thematic in my mind and I wondered if this might draw too much attention?
Does drawing a weapon and shield take an action or is it more cinematic where you can just do it and go into melee? I had my bow out but I am built to go up and help Primrose in melee and I am not sure how this works yet.
Switching weapons is just part and parcel of your turn. You can still only attack once but going from Weapon to weapon or switching between two handed or sword and shield just occurs.
Rather than use Staunchinng Song, you could use the Rally Comrades combat task, which lets you restore lost Endurance with a Battle or Inspire roll, I believe.
Of course the mileage in Tarandor's games might vary so anything I just said is not necessarily the way it'll work in this campaign! But them's the basics

Drawing weapons (and all that stuff) is not an action and TOR doesn't really concern itself with a literalist adherence to time, either. It's all cinematic. In short, draw your weapons without concern.
As for the distance to the camp it is maybe two hundred yards away, close enough that this combat will certainly be heard there. The clock is ticking...
By the way, if anyone notices that you may be in over your heads... yeah! But of course I'm sending you Tilly and Sirothel. I'm sure they'll clear this right up. :-)
GM Tarondor, so Tilly is in the thick of it now (I'm presuming) and can act again or you waiting on some of the others to take their actions first?

Sorry, guys....been sick, Halloween and crappy, buggy board kept me away for a bit.
Yes, getting kicked off the boards several times a day is getting old real fast, ain't it? You'd think it wouldn't take this long to fix.
My 13 year old niece passed away on Monday night after a three year battle with bone cancer. Her funeral is this Saturday (Friday for the north hemisphere folk). I'm travelling back home for it and I will not be posting at all that day and night. If I'm slow to post over the next few days, I apologise as I'm making arrangements for flowers etc and trying to be there for family. If Tilly is required in game on the day of the funeral, GM please kindly bot her.

Meanwhile it's getting colder here and I'm looking into getting a snow blower for the new house. My new driveway more than 100 feet long, (About 35 meters), so I'm not looking forward to shoveling in about two month's time.

I just got tired of the circle, already. I know. Didn't take long.
They must be looking for something.
That's a stupid way to look, there must be something else going on.
The only way I saw out of that circle was to stop responding to the bait.
He's already refused to consider hunting the brigands or improving the defenses.
He seemed completely disinterested in talking about lighter topics.
I'm not sure what to try next.
The brigands outnumber you, so hunting them is probably not going to work. Sure, you could get the whole of Bree to beef up its defenses, but that's not really what the story is about. That's more Pathfinder than Tolkien.
I'm hoping you three PC's can discuss a way to go find out what's happening rather than trying to confront a huge band of brigands. Or, follow the lead the ladies have, once you're aware of it.
