So... Got questions.

I'm not giving up on Seraph, not by a long shot. Nor anyone else for that matter. We've been together too long to just give up in the face of an odd ability.

Which makes me curious can this dancing lady maintain her dance even when grappling?

Which then begs multiple questions of is Seraph actively moving to be able to view her grappling, dancing, gyrating on Torrod?

Because right now I have Sunset actively battling an opponent in front of me then Torod and supposedly the dancing lady in front of him deflecting her grapple. Just going off the map as it is and based off recent actions.

Not trying to be a prude. I've never faced something like this and if I can still do k-checks then I will gladly do so since shes got me all hot and bothered. Lmao

What to do from here? New characters? End of Campaign? Or rescue mission where you the player choose one each of the NPCs to run for the rescue? Other suggestions are welcome too.

BTW, The Dancing Lady is responsible for many TPKs in Kingmaker.

What do the rest of you think? I have several options I could go with. Having been both one of the original PC’s as well as the resident New Guy (a strange turn of events), I am good with the group decision.

Ultimately, though, I think it really falls to what the DM feels up to doing.

If we continue, I personally am leaning more toward a new character. I have several options if this is the route we take.

My issue as a player and sometime DM, is that, once enthralled, there is no new save allowed, even if she takes hostile action. That seems out of place in Pathfinder.

This one is not on Seraph. We fell victim to a save or die effect.

As for suggestions, I don't think any of the NPCs would be better at this than us. I think we'd only be marching more folk to their deaths. Is starting a new AP on the table? If so, that is what I'd vote for. If not, perhaps Asta puts up some fliers like the quests we've been doing, and we're an adventuring band that answers it. One lead by our old friend Valeria.

I'm not ready to start a New AP right now, if you want to recruit a new GM for that, I'll step down.

It seems that we have two votes to create new characters, with Asta continuing as Asta.

I suppose I could hand wave Asta taking the army in to rescue the following heroes with only those wanting to keep the same PC surviving captivity???


WEll.. I would like Sunset to make it through. Would be hard on the poor Niece, after all.

I'm just not feeling that Sunset is 'Pulling her weight' when it comes to things, is all. :(

Actually.. I don't think folks are talking about starting anything new. Something borrowed and somthing blue are doing just fine at the moment. :P

I just feel in situations like this, it seems to meta for everyone to survive. So, for the sake of narrative and RP, and to let linger running characters stick around, I am willing to let Thomas be the Narrative Sacrifice.

What would you guys want me to bring in...or is it player’s choice?

Bringing in the militia doesn't have to be 'hand waving. Much like Thron suggests, it could serve a narrative purpose. What effect would losing one of us have? How would the irascible Torod be after the ordeal? What changes would Seraph make after being the damsel in distress who needed to be saved by the one she's sworn to protect. Will Strawberry ever get to eat Croft? That has nothing to do with being captured, but we all want to know.

I'd say players choice. Thomas.

I would like to continue with Seraph, however, she wouldn't sit idle and allow the fey to just kill off her companions. Per her backstory, she would try and intervene if she could just like she did with the Ogre.

I agree with Thomas that it would be kinda strange if all of us lived, hence why I'd rather the DM make a decision on it.

But again, I'd like Seraph to survive and the rest if possible. Even if it means Seraph comes out with permanent Cha damage for maltreatment due to being defiant and healing herself through the horrid abuse of her captors.

Sunset Since I asked to keep Seraph i don't feel I have an opinion on what you want to do sunset.

Though I admit. I have a hard time understanding the build you are doing. However I never asked so I'm not meaning to sound judgemental as I have no idea about good mage/alchemist builds. Hence my lack of understanding.

If we were gestalt I'd had love to been a magus alchemist again. But i digress.

The woman rides casually into town. Her clothes slightly dusty fomr the trail are, never the less, of fine quality enhanced by the great exotic cloack of shimering black feathers clasped about her shoulders.

Mounted as she is upon a large, powerful sable charger. The horses coat matching the hue of her cloak and garb.

This new commer eyes the town's folk that she passes. Her demeanour pleasant and open. Free with a nod and smile in acknowledging those who meet her gaze.

I present Arabeth. A healer of some skill. All geared up and ready for perusal.

I am happy with Sunset but if you want to bring in a different character, go for it.


*Nods* After much introspection I do feel that Sunset's multiple classes etc, while fun in a home game, are just simply not up to the task of pulling their own weight in a PbP. Sunset will be more than happy to tend her farm. Raise her Chocobos Axe-beaks. Work on items for the defense of the land etc.

There is nothing, after all, from preventing characters from buying any number of Sunset's hendy, dendy self defence lightning guns. Lots of different price ranges, styles and fashions to choose from! XD

I'm pretty sure Lady Arabeth will be far better at keeping other charcters alive and wholesome in the trials and tribulations to come.

Torod and I are probably closest to the level required to cast Raise dead or Reincarnate. It'll take scrolls to cast it, and we might not get it right on the first try, so let's try to acquire Gentle repose as well so I can extend the grace period in case we mess up the first time.

GM, I would like to purchase some scrolls and make some changes to my build.

Build:
+ I want to redistribute my 5 ranks in Disguise; 4 to Knowledge (nobility), 1 to Sense motive.
+ I want to swap my Spell focus (Illusion) feat out for Iron will.
+ I want to swap my Moon patron for the Strength patron.

Scrolls:
3rd level: Earth tremor (375 gp); Glyph of warding (375 gp); Ice spears (375 gp); Pierce disguise (375 gp); Riversight (375 gp).
2nd level: Cure moderate wounds (150 gp), Gentle repose (150 gp)
When next I level up, I propose to take Dispel magic and either Remove blindness/deafness or Remove curse. I may buy more scrolls if my

Plans:
Daily: I hope to keep a casting of Cure moderate wounds, Gentle repose, Ice spears and Pierce disguise prepared every day; Gentle repose in case we find it needful to preserve a body for rezzing later, Pierce disguise because that scumbag Grigori is still out there, waiting for his chance. Ice spears because Asta is a Winter Witch, and it's about time she starts dealing some damage to our enemies with her favoured element. Cure moderate wounds because I'm sick of watching our people take damage I could help fix.
Regular: Castings of Riversight once a week. We need to start getting better intel of what's happening elsewhere in the world, and of all the spells I found on the Witch list, Riversight looks like the best option.
Permanent: Glyph of Warding. I realise I do not now have the money to pay for the diamond dust component, but if the group will humour me, I can start to boost our nation's defenses. Glyphs at key locations will serve us well when the Trolls or other enemies show up. If nothing else, I can turn our castle into a fortress, but I think we could also trap some gateways, given the time.
