Yeah. Somewhat better. Now just dehydrated, muscle soreness and such. But recovering. I swear my kids always have something waiting for me.
Though this was the worst lol.

Nice of the Mites to plug up the tunnel so we only need to deal with fatty the ant, and not a bunch of swarms. ^_^

When we get through the mega ant, stay together, loosely centered on Seraph. That will make my channels more effective, and make it so I can reach you in one move if I need to heal you. I'm going to do my best to stay close to Seraph as well.
Let them come to us, they aren't known for their ranged attacks.
Focus on one (two at most) target(s) at a time.
We need to be prepared for more swarm attacks as well.

Wait for me to hit them with Loathsome Veil. Won't hurt the bugs, but it'll slow down the Mites. I'll send the swarm ahead to soften up the Mites - especially the King.

Asta needs to move (and get that swarm out of the way) before we go. That swarm and her placement behind the ant is going prevent any of us from doing anything to help her unless this big ant gets killed quickly.

You are on the map...on the far side of the mega ant. Get that swarm out of the way so Seraph can start hitting it. Next time: please PLEASE don't step in front of the tank to get a spell off unless it's Thermonuclear Blast. We're going to struggle to keep you alive here when the rest of those ants charge you.

Asta, Yes you can place Haunting Mist on the map keeping your comrades out of it. I put a gray spell template on the map for you to use if you would like.
Are you trying for cover from the mega ant or the other ants and mites?
Are you unable to view the map?
Generally the party is in the opening of a 10 foot corridor. The mega ant (huge) is right out side the corridor in a larger chamber 45 x 80 feet. The reminder of ants and mites are in the far half diagonal from the battle. Asta is 10ft behind the ant in the main chamber having been plucked and thrown by the Mega ant.

NOW I see it! Sheesh, every time I opened the battle-map on my Phone, it showed me still save to the left of the mega-ant with the rest of the party!
I'm using Haunting Mists to at least keep the Mites off while I do a bit of recovery.

So I asked a question in the main thread but right now I think I'm kinda useless. I mean I have my bow but I was expecting a melee fight not a bow fight. With firing into Melee my chances of hitting are way lower.
So Can't really determine my actions until I know if Sunset is Prone, and I can stand over her, or she is standing and I need to switch weapons.

Nvm the question, I posted my three options. I did so without viewing the dice roller until afterward and then having to make adjustments...
Choose whichever works best so we can keep moving. Apologies for the wait guys, just at a loss as to ho Seraph was to react. Though with Asta getting snagged she is royally po-ed, so I am hoping Mega Ant goes down, we will see.

@GM Glyn if you don't like having to choose options like that, let me know. But its totally in your court as to how she proceeds. Regardless she is attacking, unless she has no clear shot available. Like firing into melee, but with how big this creature is I was thinking that the group wasn't providing total cover.
Your call, I respect whatever decision i made. :) Also I'm not angry, a bit annoyed only because I have procrastinated my decision so long.
I couldn't find if I could throw a weapon, but it says it can be done as an improvised weapon with only a 10ft increment if I read that correctly. so -4 there. -x whatever else you see fit.

Hopefully you can stand over her, but with that crit, maybe throwing the sword was better, lol.
We usually play you stand over a prone character, the only problem comes when someone tries to move. The prone figure has to crawl out of the square, with the applicable AoO problems; the standing person must count the square as difficult terrain, even to leave it. It's a bit of house-ruling, but it does allow heroic-style defending the fallen type scenes, where the RAW don't really let you do that.

Seraph, Sunset wan't prone from the failed acrobatics move, so I choose to go with the second option. Pretty cool visuall of her throwning the sword in my mind.
Also, I'm not familiar with the "Confirm Instant Kill?" It looks like a house rule for a double nat 20?

Imho, Channel Energy may be one of the best adds to the game from Paizo, especially for the cleric. Used properly, the value of those xD6 can be huge! I've rolled just above average for 3d6 the last two rounds, but healed over 70 hp of damage total.

On pg 68 of the 3e dmg their is the variant of instant kills. I did use it in an old campaign but yeah...

So was tossing her sword still a critical or no?
I dont mind if you used the roll for just swinging her sword at it but if it was critical then the damage was 24+18 = 42 dmg for throwing her sword.
The previous roll nets only 22 of course.
Either way i dont mind. Was just seeing which. Now, recovering my sword is gonna be a pain. XD
Gonna need to bathe after this fight!

No the sword toss didn't confirm a critical, and yes recovering the sword should be interesting.

I'll start up Summon Monster III spells next round.
I'm thinking celestial giant spiders, to web targets and immobilize them.
Or maybe lightning elementals, to take the fight to the Mites.

Good thing I didn't miss with my sword throw. ;D It wasnt the best move bjt this fight is getting a bit rough and being stuck wasn't good. However, now we can press forward.

I'm a terrible summoner, so I would say whatever can pin down the ants. Maybe tangle up the mites but I'm torn between preventing their escape or crushing them like the wannabe-gnomes they are.
