Will: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27
Sargon puts up a Wall of Force blocking the entrance to the room

baldwin the merciful |

Everyone is fairly certain that the heavy boot sounds is simply parlor trick. There are no reinforcements marching through the fog.
-----
Dragox hacks in one long sweeping blow slashes into the snake pile. The half orc's slashing weapon doesn't do as much damage as he would like.
It's not an evil outsider.
-----
Sargon throws up a wall of force so the group can gather up and access the situation, there is no telling what lies within that odd room.

Init Order: Rd 3 update
Gauthier - hesitates with uncertainty.
Rey - moves down hallway giving the party a bit more room.
Sargon - GM Note: sees invisibility. Wall of force
Opponent - snakes over Dragox, ghost sounds
Omar -
Dragox -
Gauthier, Omar, and Dragox have RD 3 actions. I believe Omar is off line until this evening, so Dragox feel free to go before him. The snakes are sill crawling all over you.

Dragox |

Dragox keeps swinging at the mass of snakes, trying to get them off him. He swung with all his might this time.
Power Attack 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (15) + 23 = 38

Power attack 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28
Damage 2d6 + 25 ⇒ (1, 2) + 25 = 28
Power attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
Damage 2d6 + 25 ⇒ (1, 2) + 25 = 28

Sargon The War Sage |

Gauth, the only thing I know is that those snakes are real as for what's on the other side. I know whatever it may be, it's not going to attack us until we are ready for it

Sargon The War Sage |

Well Gauth, we can wait for the fog to dissipate, we can back away and make it come to us. I do have other measures if needed. Anyway it shakes out we will dictate the terms of battle not it.
Sargon delays until he sees something besides lots of snakes

baldwin the merciful |

The group discusses waiting and you get a sinking feeling in you bellies.
You are in a hallway but can you get out? You are not sure if you can retreat back through the terrible blade barrier trap in that small closet. Nothing about 'North, then South' mentions it can be done in reverse.

baldwin the merciful |

The icons are doubled because your spell caster cast a mirroring spell to confuse the enemy. The red dot on the icon is the the double. East is back to the small room that had the blade trap. It is the room you had to go 'North, then South' into to avoid the trap. You can try to go east but you do not know if that will succeed. I put a spoiler a couple posts before directed to Omar and Gauthier regarding the trap. In other words you may be trapped in a hall.

Dragox |

"Why is this room here, I wonder? If there is no exit, is it all just one big trap? There's no telling how much gold this Mage spent to have this room built."

Sargon The War Sage |

Very good then, we check behind us for an alternative route, if none present themselves then we drop the barrier I have erected and deal with whatever is in there

baldwin the merciful |

Sargon are you keeping your force wall up and the mirror images?
Omar and his double shuffles past the others to scout the way they came. As he works his way back he does not see any secret side passages. You do not see the door it is sealed. You know the door should be there.
Omar: Make perception check to determine if you can find the seam and figure out how to open the door.
-----
Who is serving as rear guard watching the fog cloud room? Those guarding the rear need to make perception checks.

baldwin the merciful |

Omar your fingers find the thinnest seam imaginable, it as as if the the stone has melded perfectly. You figure you will be able to eventually pry it open but it will take quite a bit of work (minutes). You don't notice any traps from this side of the wall but you are certain what, if anything, will happen if the you get the door open.

baldwin the merciful |

The rear guard:
Gauthier your old eyes try to pierce fog and you notice the ground outside the wall of force is moving, but then realize it's more snakes trying to get through.
Guthier and Rey make sense motive checks.
A thin whisperly voice floats down the corridor. "Come...come tomb raiders you face no harm. Surely you know that I've been watching you and seek only to protect myself. If it's knowledge you seek, we can strike a bargain."

Reyondelee |

Rey whispers to the companions closest to her, I've found that bargains with the dead are rarely advantageous to the living.

"Hmmmm a buttery voice. Yes I can understand your trepidation but remember from my point of view I'm not the intruder. I was minding my own business, but it is knowledge that you seek, isn't it?"
Rey she comes off as believable and you did technically intrude on her space.

Sargon The War Sage |

"Hmmmm a buttery voice. Yes I can understand your trepidation but remember from my point of view I'm not the intruder. I was minding my own business, but it is knowledge that you seek, isn't it?"
In Taalise
What knowledge do you offer? Sargon says in a firm commanding tone

Dragox |

"I am here raiding a tomb. I am fighting a holy battle and need to fund my warriors. Demon fighting equipment is expensive, after all. Are you still alive? I have no reason to steal from the living, but if your stuff is just laying around with you gone to the great beyond, I am fine with taking it and using it wisely."

Responds in Taalise:
"All is not dead in this tomb. I can reveal secrets or show you death." The female voice begins to giggle. "Yes...yes...I can show you death. You seek Tzolo which will certainly be your death." the giggle becomes an a high pitched cackle. "Doomed to fail, DOOOMED to fail." The voice trails off.

Sargon The War Sage |

I'm sure this knowledge will prove as valuable as the snake in the box we encountered earlier
Sargon continues chatting waiting to see if the way back is feasible

baldwin the merciful |

Omar you have the door outline, it's prying it open that will take you at least a minute of time.
I assume you are trying to open the door. You realize the door is meant to be one way, to get you down to this corridor, it's not meant to let things out of this level. So prying it open is basically prying and muscle.
Fog cloud 10 min/level.
Wall of force lasts 1 Rd/level

Sargon The War Sage |

No I do not, when it expires I will cast Dispel Magic from the center of our group on the fog
Dispel: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21

baldwin the merciful |

Your two companions work diligently to open the door, they actually have it wedged about 4 inches. The force wall dissipates and as it drops, Sargon is quick to dispel the fog cloud. Giving those at the rear guard a clear view of the pillars within the room along with the pond. Unfortunately as quick as Sargon dispels the fog, it reemerges but closer to your corridor's so the hazy mist fills in your area.
Fog Room
*I updated the map with a mauve color for the new fog outline.

Gauthier roll a d100.
Note: the material of tomb is treated as adamantium (not stone) for purposes of all spells that manipulate matter (such as stone shape and transmute rock to mud). The doors in the tomb are made of iron.
I wasn't clear on this so, I'm not going to penalize you for casting the spell.
Gauthier uses the ring's power to alter the shape of the door. You are standing in several inches of muck that covers your boots.

Dragox |

"You aren't trying to get us stuck are you," Dragox asks as he feels his legs become caught up in the muck. He doesn't stop working on the door though.
