I hope they take ALL the sneak attack damage that was meant for me
The reply comes back.
Meeting with Yorgala, I will wait here. Sending six initiates to the edge of the wood. Stay hidden for two hours then break for the treeline.
The plot thickens... Not sure we've got the stamina to take on the initiates though. And if they go and back in 4 hours, we don't get enough rest I guess.

Have the most tired of us rest for 2 hours, even a short nap can help refresh for a little while.
I think only Ogrim and Q have the fatigued condition.
It looks like RAW says 8 hours rest to shake fatigued.
I meant more as far as spells recovery and whatnot. Otherwise, Raziel is ready to go. Acid Splash for the win ;)
"We just need to decide if we want to risk it, and we should move away some, so as not to engage them in view of the cabin. Or the combat will be noticed" - the tiefling comments.

Q nods. "These eyes may be tired, but they're still sharp."
Unless someone objects, he makes his way to where I moved his token
You hear some commotion from the cottage.
"Fine, have fun shagging Yorgala, hope you don't catch any warts!"
The front door must have opened, because this last is audible to all.

Hound just grunts.
Raziel has been around the yard, he knows the front door is on the other side. You guys are in a grove of trees in the back yard.
To get where they are going they will probably be passing by the grove.
Who's rolling stealth?
Guys are we going to engage them this close to the cabin? Or just let them by, and the jump the ones left inside?
Raziel moves out of sight.

Whisper: Let them go. Our goal is rescuing the woman, not getting ourselves killed in a large fight. If we capture the cottage, we can use it to ambush the group that is leaving when they return.
"Hunker down then boys and girls" - Raziel retorts with a wink.

Anyone who wants to stay undetected should roll stealth. Even if you don't have a good stealth bonus you should still roll, it's better then the DC if you just stand there (DC 0 before distance and and other factors).

Eli attempts to climb a nearby tree, thinking that he'd be able to get the "drop" on any hostiles passing underneath. Shut up, it was a good idea.
Climb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
After a few failed attempts, Eli decided it would be better to crouch into a small ditch located at the base of one of the trees, taking care to keep view of the cottage and departing initiates.

Are we attacking the ones we were trying to get well away from the house? I am confused. I thought the goal was to get them to be an hour from here before we attacked those remaining in the cottage.

Q stares, wondering why they're looking his way.
Ghae that was more of a best case scenario but now they are looking towards the trees where the party is hidden. Q has a feeling he was spotted.
At least you drew them out, learned about their numbers.

Speaking of... what does Eli see from his hiding spot?
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Eli see's six robed figures rounding the corner of the house. They haven't overtly let on yet, but their body language tips Eli off that they have noticed the party hiding in the grove of trees.
They have no armor under their robes, but they carry sickles and potion flasks tucked in their sashes.
They look pretty much just like the cultist that died in the bar fight.
They probably aren't sure of what they see in the trees, but they look like they will investigate.

Hoping to fool the cultists, Ghae calls out in druidic, hoping the natural sounding language will fool the cultists into thinking that it was just some bird or animal.

Q lowers his bow in amazement, then whispers. "Ghael, you are everything that is right with the world. How long before we begin our descent?"
Raziel offers Ghaelja a wide, fanged grin, and a thumbs up in silence - his eyes focused on watching the robed men moving away until they are out of sight, then turns to the group - "I could try approaching the cabin, and goad them into opening the door? We would all need to be ready to strike immediately"

Ghae nods:
Deception is not a strength of mine. However, if it is using the power of nature, even its sounds, then I usually have more skill.
She looks to Raziel and then Hound:
Lets allow this group to leave for at least a few minutes, if it takes longer than expected to gain the cabin, we want to make sure that this group is not behind us.
Once we are sure that they have left, I believe we should listen at the door.
She looks at Hound again:
There is a time for force, and this is likely to be that time. However, I believe that if we can get into the cabin without smashing down the door, it will make rescuing the girl easier. Mind you, as soon as we find the kidnapping miscreant who spoke of evil acts against the girl, then you can charge and dismember the leader with great prejudice.

Hound nods in satisfaction
Ok who approaches the cabin? Everyone? Give me perception checks if you want to listen at the door, and stealth checks if you want to approach quietly.

Standing from his literal hole in the ground hiding spot once the monks had departed, Eli whispers to his companions, I've got this. I'll signal once I get there and get a look inside. I'm only good at close range anyway, so I let me be the ginuea pig here. Without waiting for a response, Eli moves as quickly as possible towards the cabin, aiming for one of the windows on the opposite side from the door and the direction that the monks travelled, hoping to get a good look and listen inside before the rest of the group comes down.
Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Dunno where the windows actually are, so feel free to place me wherever, though I'll be moving myself next to the door once the group moves down and we coordinate our entrance.
There's one by where you moved your token. I added little dashes to show windows.
