Ruby runs toward the melee skirting past it acrobatics: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23 before spinning around and bringing her scythe sweeping against the caster's legs.trip attempt: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

would a trip attempt break my grapple on it?

the caster's feet are swept out from under him, leaving him dangling in jo'Vassa's grasp. He is undeterred though, his hands glowing as he grabs jo'Vassa back, inflicting him with fear.

the zombies shuffle closer. There's at least twenty sets of lurching footsteps in the cave.

"That doesn't sound like an apology" Jo'Vassa growls, slamming him into the ground , refusing to let go, but put slightly off balance by ruby's "aid"Grapple to pin: 1d20 + 16 - 3 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 16 - 3 + 5 - 2 = 21 constrict: 1d8 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 3 = 13

He then turns and looks to the summons and tells them "Jo'Vassa has the Spoky jerk in hand, you go kill a zombie or two before you leave, please and thank you"
The lizards growl and charge at the zombies

Ruby continues her spin finishing her rotation facing the unseen undead. A loud crack echoes in the cavern as she fires a round into the gloom. Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 3

Morrigan nods, "To the cemetary please." Morrigan leads the way back.

the dehampir follows.

the humanoids, rotting and falling apart, lurch out of the darkness, the bullet lost on the gloom. Three zombies lunge at ruby and six more move to the next avaiable spot, surrounding her.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

meanwhile, the caster squirms and snarls, before sighing and muttering a single word.
"... Poit."
and suddenly there's a puff of smoke where the caster was.

As they lunge at Ruby she swings her scythe at their desecrated corpses. Her eyes take on a calm steely focus as he then sees the other zombies surrounding her and weaves her way through them back towards the entrance.

whoops, I forgot we were waiting on me Jo'Vassa's claws grasp nothing but air "you is big cheating cheater!" he shouts, before looking around for where he went

If he can find the caster he moves closer to the necromancer and flings a weakened fireball at him
If not the flames target the largest selection of undead he can find
using power components to add extra damage and cause those who fail their saves to catch fire 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1, 5) + 3 = 12

two zombies are cleaved through effortlessly, and four more explode. Several more shamble foreward, most of them with enough sense to avoid the fire.

most as in I get some others?
"BURN" he commands as he flies over towards another clump of them burning hands: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 3) + 3 = 13 yes adding another 10gp of gunpowder, but not using another flask of academical fire

Ruby takes a moment to study the group. Then rushes their flank attacking the outer most zombie with a viscous parting slash. retreating once again into the tunnel.attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23damage: 2d4 + 2 + 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 2 + (3, 1) = 13rifle cooldown: 1d4 ⇒ 2
this would be round one for cooldown.

the zombies flail and burn, and ruby's scythe cuts through them like butter. It becomes farely evident ey aren't a real threat, only six or so zombies shambling foreward at this point.

"Go away smelly dead people, you is too weak to hurt Jo'Vassa!" burning hands: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4) = 11

the steely glint leaves Ruby's eyes as she sees how weak her foes are. She moves forward almost mechanically rushing the closest zombie with a savage flourish.charge: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21damage: 2d4 + 2 + 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 2 + (1, 1) = 9savage display performance: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

the zombies burn and fall apart, the remaining two charging at ruby

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
and both whiff horribly.

Jo'Vassa looks around for the leader of the zombies.

Ruby leans back sidestepping her opponents, moving to where one of them are between her and Jo'vassa.

he is not visible.

Jo'Vassa angirly smacks down another zombie with his pimp cane, frustrated that the caster ran off to hit with pimp cane: 1d20 + 9 - 3 ⇒ (15) + 9 - 3 = 21 2d6 + 5 - 3 ⇒ (6, 3) + 5 - 3 = 11

the remaining zombie seems to freeze, caught between jo'Vassa and ruby.
zombie will charge the first charecter to get closer.

Ruby levels her rifle at the zombie giving it a thumbs down before blasting it.attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18damage: 2d12 + 1d6 ⇒ (10, 1) + (2) = 13

And suddenly, the remaining zombie lacks a head.

"You has no more minions, you is out numberd and you know that Jo'Vassa can wrestle you. Repent and surrender and you will have a fair trial" he shouts to the darkness

the cave is empty.

Ruby puts a hand on Jo'vassa's shoulder "We should report back to Adya, let her know what we learned."

"No! The bad man has not been brought to justice! Jo'Vassa promised to make the bad man repent and Jo'Vassa has not done this yet! The bad man must be close!" Jo'Vassa looks around to see if the cave goes any deeper.

the cave doe not seem to hsve any ways deeper.

Jo'Vassa growls out in frustration. "Fine... We report that we failed..." He says before immediately leaving

Ruby follows Jo'vassa casually kicking a corpse on the way out. As they exit the cave Ruby looks to Jo'vassa "We didn't fail, we found the murderer and know that he has some connection to necromancy. It may not be everything we wanted but the day is ours, enjoy it."

Jo'Vassa growls slightly and says "the murderer has not been stopped, he is free to hurt kill and maim, and we have no solace to offer the victims, living or dead" he huffs again "Also.. Jo'Vassa broke his word...."

Ruby stands a moment in thought, he face lighting up as a thought occurs "He used magic right, that has to leave some sort of mystic trail or something like that, right?!"

Jo'Vassa shakes his head "Jo'Vassa has little skill in magics, he only knows magic of combat and sexy times..." He mutters a few words in infernal and a detect magic spell makes eyes begin to glow red "this is the limit of Jo'Vassa's divinatory prowess"

morrigan shows up with the dehampir in tow, who's following rather quietly.

Slithering up and pointing "The lady there needs healing if you please." Turning to Anthony, "Find out anything?"

"Apparently the perpetrator of this act used dark magics to turn this young woman into what she now is, and now she, Malowa, wants revenge, despite being clearly in no condition to enact it in any way... I trust you've found someone who can fix that to some extent?"

the dehapier walks up, and quetly runs a finger across where the wound [b]was[b], and walks off just as quietly, having done his task.

"Th-thanks!"
malwoa yells after the departing man, who simply puts a single hand in the air, waving it off as he walks away.

Ruby sighs and begins following her markings back towards town.

Jo'Vassa follows her

malwoa pauses, a while. Wondering if anyone was going to make some sort of plan.
"... So how are we going to hunt him?"

Jo'Vassa mumbles something under his breath.

An invisible creature transforms and runs off

"Right, you're all stitched up.... Well first off we have teammates currently in the process of apprehending your attacker, we need to reconvene with them. They probably already have him, but just in case he gave them the slip we should group up so we don't all check the same places. I suggest we find Adya and see if she knows any trackers... Unless you have any tracking skills you would like to volunteer"

"Is there anything else you can tell us? I might be able to find a few useful spells if I know what we are up against." Morrigan asks calmly, seemingly oblivious to the undead being anything other than just another person.

"I can tell you a lot about the bastard. Has a sick faction with undead, for one. Doesn't really even understand his own craft that well. Raised me as... This... When he was well beyond his limit of undead he could manage. And his mumblings about what I gathered to be an undead wyvern aren't pleasent, either. If he wasn't caught, this will get... Messy, I'm sure. And if he is caught... I want to kill him. Need to kill him. Preferably with my bare hands."
