ruby follows next to jo'vassa "So who is this healer? An actual doctor i hope"

Morrigan pulls out a mostly filled in, but rough, map of town, "We are here. My house is here. I'll meet you there shortly. If you'll please excuse me." Morrigan speaks politely, and with a smile, but awkwardly, as though unsure of a nicer way of ending it.

malwoa sighs, then heads off.

"... Alright, so... Morrigan, you didn't take any peices of the primal beast, did you?"

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

"By "docktor" do you mean "alchemist"? If so, then yes! If not then... Maybe?"

"No. Nothing too serious I hope." Morrigan responds quietly, shifting downwards to Ayda's level.

Adya looks around, and seeing no-one, reaches into a pocket on her pajamas.

"Alright. Well... I saw that you didn't really get much of a chance to collect part's with the rest of us."
Adya opens her hand, showing about five multicolored scales.
"A few of them came loose when I pulled my sword out, and ended up not getting disintigrated. I really can't be having your bravery go unrewarded. I felt bad, so... I mean, I know it's not much of a prize, but... Take it."

"well at least it will be a learned man. or woman. I don't think gender really matters."

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

"With him it matters even less than usual!"

Grand Lodge

F (Female) Human Gladiator 6

Ruby gives jo'vassa a puzzled look. "Are they like you?"

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

"Oh ho! There is none who are truly like Jo'vassa, but this one.. Well is best to see and let your eyes do the explaining no" he walk up to one of the buildings and knocks on the door and says "knock knock, is you awake? We is in need of you're services"

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the door creaks open a bit, showing a poorly lit lab. Things are strewn about everywhere, vials and notes and all sorts of things. Nobody answered.

Morrigan accepts the gift, "Thank you."

It may or may not be noticed that Morrigan doesn't really care for scales, that her thanks was genuine, but more of an appreciation of the gesture rather than the gift.

Female Kobold? Swashbuckler 1, paladin 1, samurai (sword Saint) 3.

"They can be used to ehncant stuff, like any part of a primal beast. Anyway, Malwoa's waiting. If anyone asks, I yelled at you. Good luck with the ghoul."

"This doesn't bode well. But, mayhaps he is asleep." perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

nothing can be seen inside besides the scattered things.

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

Jo'Vassa shouts "hey chuckles! Is you in here! Door was unlocked!"

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the door swings all the way open swiftly, as if somone had pulled it open.

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

"Is you invisible today?"

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

if he is, he's invisible and mute, Becuase he isn't talking.

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

Jo'Vassa walks inside and looks around

Grand Lodge

F (Female) Human Gladiator 6

Ruby steps into the doorway."Are you sure they live here jo'vassa?"

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

inside the building is a massive spider, at least the size of a dog, standing on the wall above the door and staring at them.

Grand Lodge

F (Female) Human Gladiator 6

Ruby awkwardly waves to the spider.she whispers aside to jo'vassa "is that them?"

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

"Jo'Vassa thinks so!" He says in his usual exuberant tones

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the spider chitters.

Female Kobold? Swashbuckler 1, paladin 1, samurai (sword Saint) 3.

adya tilts hwr head.
"No, really. Go. Malwoa is waiting."

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

"We are in need of healings, we fought dark necromancer man who ran away like poultry, if you is not owner of this house could you be pointing us in correct direction?"

Morrigan puts the scales in a pocket, and heads off to jer house, keeping an eye out just in case the ghoul got into trouble along the way.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the road seems clear. Nearly everyone is asleep, so no-one noticed malwoa, who happens to be standing nervously outside morrigan's home, clearly intimidated.

Morrigan looks around for something that might be intimidating her while asking, "Something wrong?"

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the spider skitters across the ceiling, before using it's webs to snag a vial and whip it up to itself, catching it and downing it, before falls off, flips in midair, and lands on the counter, skattering books and vials everywhere. It stares at Jo'Vassa for a while.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

"... What... What is this building? This is where you live?"

genderfluid half fiendish gnoll Oracle (feral soul) 6

Jo'Vassa approaches, not knowing what's going on, but with a smile on his face regardless.

Morrigan shrugs, "Isn't much yet, small I know, but I grew it myself. I'll make it bigger eventually. I already have much of it planned out. That patch of churned up dirt is where the herb garden will go, and those upright supports will be the walls of the workshop area, it's big because I'll be the one using it. It is so exciting to watch a plan come together, isn't it?" Morrigan certainly seems to think it'll be nice.

malwoa looks pale. Then again, that's Probobly no uing new.

"Grew...?"

"Yep. Grew. You make a basic skeleton of supports, use a bit of webbing or netting where you want walls, then with a bit of black blood and magic, they become alive and grow the scales and such. Then you can encourage it to grow in particular ways and it adjusts to changing pressures and such, not to mention heals itself. Much better than brick 'n stick houses."

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

"that's... That's really..."
malwoa looks at her own hands, rigor mortis starting to set in.
"... guess I'm no better... Alright. Show me inside?"

"You say that like it's a bad thing. Come on, I'll show you what I got so far. Maybe we can do a Tarot reading if you want."

Inside the hut has a great many things hanging from the walls or sitting on shelves. Most of the things are fairly new and common items either for aesthetics or as crafting reagents. Some silk, fabric, paper, and tools sit on a corner desk.

The corners are all rounded, including the book shelves. The walls are dark grey and covered in fine scales. There is a hearth which seems to be made of a goldish copper colored metal with the "skin" from the walls seemingly encroaching on the flames. The fire illuminating the hut's interior with a warm glow.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

"It's kinda creepy, you know? But..."
then she follows in, and shuts up quickly, her eyes widening.
"I uh... Wasn't really expecting it to be so... Uhm. Normal."

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the spider, after a while of staring, rifles between the potions, and rolls one at jo Vassa. It's only label is the instructions- "quaff, then wait for it to take effect.". Meanwhile, the spider's gaze turns to ruby. Unblinking.

"I think the creepy is just a matter of what people are familiar with. For example, I find all the stone buildings around here creepy, all stone and square with sharp corners and a strange inanimacy of having never lived. In here, you can feel the life in the walls." Morrigan says as she touches the wall. If Malwoa touches the wall she can feel the energy of a living thing, much as if she had touched a tree as a human, though as it is more necromantic life, Malwoa might find it more comfortable feeling than a human.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

"Can't feel much of anything, to be honest. Everything is kinda numb."
she watches morrigan with intrest.
"And... Stones have usually lived, you know. Most of the planet has been alive at some point- dirt is made of decomposed animals and plants, and a lot of rocks are just hard dirt. I... Think, anyway. I'm a merchant. Not a scholar."

Morrigan blinks at Malwoa's comment about not feeling but grabs the other topic to talk about, "Some rocks used to be alive, but most rocks never were, especially the sort of stone that is good for building things. Amber and coal were once alive. Sand and silt can become stone, though sand and silt is usually from other stones rather than living things. There are some exceptions of course, but stones for making things are the sort that never were alive."

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

"Ah. I see. Does it mind if I touch? I'm not sure..."

"It is more like a plant. It can feel pain and such, but it doesn't mind or not mind things, so go ahead. Besides, you are standing on it anyway."

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

"Oh..."
the ghoul quietly runs her hands over the walls. She dsnt seem to know what to say.

The wall feels like snake skin, lots of smooth scales, and has slight give to it. It is cool to the touch and feels almost like fluid is running underneath it.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

malwoa takes her hand off quickly, holding it close, clearly nervous again.

Jo'Vassa takes the vial, shrugs, and chugs it.
