Dredger sneers a bit under his helmet. "I'll try, but it doesn't feel right pretending he's an actual dragon when there's some odd magic going on. Regardless, he seems like good people."
"Now, who says it's pretending? Real drsgons were more filled with magic then a human could ever hope to be. Just because he wasn't a dragon, doesn't mean he isn't now."

Trawl Dredger |

"If a curse turned me into an imitation of a human, does that suddenly mean I'm a true human? Or am I just wearing the guise of a human, with the mind of a half-orc? Physical attributes alone does not make us what we are. We don't worship 'people-turned-dragons', we worship ACTUAL dragons, the red..." Dredger halts himself, and takes a slow breath. "Apologies ma'am, let my beliefs stand in the way of tactical advantage."

"You're not wrong. But I won't exactly say you're right, either. The body influences the mind. Heavily. If one was to think themselves a dragon, then become one- does that make them a dragon, or not? Give it time, dredger. We may have a dragon, a real one, yet. And potentially, the model for magic needed to be able to make drsgons out of those who think themselves one."

Dredger's mask may completely cover his face, but it'd be pretty obvious that his face is twisted into a grimace. "I suppose that could work... I fear that it would just be more imitators."
trench pinches the bridge of her nose.
"dragons are a race, trawl. And while some of them are gods. I'm rsther sure, they used to be an entire race. If we want dragons to be as glorious as they were, we can't just let this slip by. False dragons, as far as I'm concerned, are much better then none at all. It may be a new direction, but I can work with it. after all, if our peers have the bodies of dragons, they're still our peers, right? So where's the problem?"
Trawl Dredger |

"They wouldn't be continuing the lineage of dragons, they'd merely be a new race, made to resemble dragons, or at least I think so. It may be better than none, but why would we encourage worshipping dragons with no dragon ancestry? We revere the kobolds because of their heritage. And I am not concerned about our peers gaining dragon bodies, I'm afraid of the hubris it'll bring. Then again, I do see your points, and I won't stand against any plans you make..."

Ayda |

Anthony chuckles darkly "I don't think "see" is the right word...."
adya leans on Antony.
"It might be a pain, but it does offer some intersting oppertunities, in truth. I mean, just how strong are you, now? You've got quite a vicious set of weapons. Once we talk to the guard and convice them it's you..."Adya hugs Antony's neck again.
"And we will, don't worry- you'll be wonderful at being able to tear things up."

"... Tell me, how did Antony become a dragon, again?"

Keaton Renard |

"Good, they probably didn't put them here, then."
He sicks Efude on the nearest available slime.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
1d6 ⇒ 5bleed
If he still acts first in initiative and can tell the slime will attack Vassa, he casts shield on them to try and mitigate it.

Ellen steps to the side and stabs at the slime from behind la'vassa before performing an upward slash.

la'vassa gains control of the grapple, as the ooze is slashed and splatter about. It doesn't much seem to care, as it tries to regain control of the grapple, violently wrapping around la' Vassa in a crushing grab.

Seeing no point in her usual tactic of wrestling the slippery opponent La'Vassa begins to punch and bite the goop, spluttering when she's done "you taste weeeeeird"

Trawl Dredger |

Dredger falls silent, looking down and stroking his chin for a moment. "The real dragon, ma'am. He said he killed them, and their last act was to blind him and turn him into what he is now, presumably. It might be connected to the pile of gold, and now that I think about it... It's possible the dragon before him was not real, but another person cursed."

"Perhaps- just a guess- but this is the body of a true drsgon, cursed long ago. A curse undying, unyielding."

Keaton Renard |

Without being able to communicate with the moth, Keaton ushers everyone back into their moving formation and cues them to continue into the back of the cavern.
"We've been here long enough. I doubt they even put these things here themselves. We just need to find the beings in charge and negotiate with them."
