HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

Just to note that your "friendly half-orc cleaver" is still here, waiting for his not-so-unique talents to be needed ;-)

A man of action - nice!

I think we need to invite a rogue to join the party. Do any of you have any friends on these boards that might want to join our game in a skill-monkey capacity? I prefer to invite someone known than open up recruitment.

HP 13/13, AC 17, (T12/FF15), Init +2, Perc +0. F+5/R+3/W+1

I know one very nice guy from two other PbP's on these boards, might check with him if he is interested...? Actually, not to loose time, I will just go ahead and check, not making any promises, and then we'll see..

Hagar's friend has come through and we have a new rogue. Unfortunately, there's not really an elegant way to add a player into this dungeon naturally, so we will just do a straight-up replacement.

He'll be checking in here shortly, so hopefully we can get this game back on track.

Thanks for your patience, all.

M Half Elf Rogue (Scout) 1: Init +5; Senses Perception +8 (11 for traps): AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex) : hp 11 : Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +2 (+2 vs enchantments)

Greetings all. Minwae the Silent here. Thanks for the chance to play!

I hope I will be on par as a skills guy, as your previous rogue and slightly better in combat. That was my goal when building anyway.

Minwae is fine going first to look for traps. His perception is +8 nad +9 for traps.

Looking forward to the game.

Hi, thanks for coming, and keeping the game alive. Cool build.

That whole intro/exit with Kellen was pretty random and humorous, btw.

Ha! Thanks. I think. It was better than a simple switch, right? And now you can loot the corpse of the guy you just met. It's a win all around.

Have we lost another player already?

M Half Elf Rogue (Scout) 1: Init +5; Senses Perception +8 (11 for traps): AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex) : hp 11 : Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +2 (+2 vs enchantments)

If you mean Hagar, I believe he is on a business trip.

doh

Whoops. Just saw I messed up the init order. Oh well. It worked out in your favor. I'll remedy it in Round 2.

Well, it appears we have lost yet another player. Shall we press on with four? Vigan, are you ready to be the main damage dealer?

backgrounds

We can just go on with four, or you can just GMPC Hagan for a bit to see if he turns up. Doesn't really matter to me.

We lost Minwae? I can try, my AC is fairly horrid though.

No, I think we lost Hagar. Not sure about Minwae. But it is his turn.

M Half Elf Rogue (Scout) 1: Init +5; Senses Perception +8 (11 for traps): AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex) : hp 11 : Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +2 (+2 vs enchantments)

I was waiting on Hager. I think I heard he went camping, but I might be thinking of someone else. I do not think we lost him though. I am at a conference and will post my turn ASAP.

If Minwae hasn't posted by noon today, I will bot his actions.

Are you guys good with proceeding? This has been a significantly slower game than I intended and I'm worried we've lost our momentum. I'm good with moving on, but I'd also be open to blowing up and starting over - either with this module or something else.

Thoughts?

M Half Elf Rogue (Scout) 1: Init +5; Senses Perception +8 (11 for traps): AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex) : hp 11 : Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +2 (+2 vs enchantments)

Hmm. I thought I had posted but I do not see it in the list. Perhaps a result of hotel internet? I will re-post now.

I'd like to continue, there hasn't been much RP and the huge delays but its still pretty fun. But I'd be fine with doing something else, too, heh.

backgrounds

Let's just try to build some momentum and see how it goes.

M Half Elf Rogue (Scout) 1: Init +5; Senses Perception +8 (11 for traps): AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex) : hp 11 : Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +2 (+2 vs enchantments)

Agree. I really think our half orc will be back. He was then one who invited me, and spoke highly of the game.

I know we had two in favor of staying the course, but would you be open to giving an AP a shot? I feel like we need to breathe some life into the game and there's nothing better than cracking open a fresh AP, right? ;)

I'm good either way. Seriously. I just hate that this game has stalled so severely.

If we were to play an AP/module, is there one you'd like to try?

I'm doing second darkness in another pbp, so I'd vote against that one. I haven't played or even looked much at APs, besides glancing through Council of Thieves a long time ago.

Just looking at the list on the website Curse of the Crimson Throne is most appealing, but they all sound pretty good really. I'd like to do rise of the runelords just to see what all the fuss is about, but fighting goblins sounds kind of lame.

Also I might want to rework a character if we do it.

Male Human Fighter (Unbreakable) 1 HP: 16/16, AC 18 (T11, FF17), F: +4/R: +1/W: +1, Init: +1, Percep: +1

Well you know I love AP's but I'm down for whatever.

backgrounds

Love APs, would be all over it. I'm currently DMing RotRL and playing in a Skull and shackles one, so preferably neither of those.

Depending on the AP I might want to rework the character a bit, but I don't mind still being the resident Divine caster.

M Half Elf Rogue (Scout) 1: Init +5; Senses Perception +8 (11 for traps): AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex) : hp 11 : Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +2 (+2 vs enchantments)

Anything but Kingmaker for me. I am playing in a Kingmaker game. Great DM but I fear the kingdom making part will not be my favorite setting. We are not really there yet so I am not sure what we are in for.

In truth I would prefer to stay in this setting. I love the City of Strangers flavor.

All right. Still need to hear from Minwae, but that's a good response.

I was trying to decide between Council of Thieves or Legacy of Fire. Any opinion on either of those?

M Half Elf Rogue (Scout) 1: Init +5; Senses Perception +8 (11 for traps): AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex) : hp 11 : Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +2 (+2 vs enchantments)

er, we have heard from Minwae :)

Ninja'ed in my own thread. How dare you.

Any opinions on CoT or LoF?

Male Human Fighter (Unbreakable) 1 HP: 16/16, AC 18 (T11, FF17), F: +4/R: +1/W: +1, Init: +1, Percep: +1

Well LoF is albout genies and such which is cool beans but CoT is in the "new" PFRPG format so it might be easier. I'd be fine with either though.

backgrounds

CoT would be my preference, just because it's pretty much all urban, which would be fun.

Would you want to recruit another player? We'd have (assuming no one changed their concept dramatically) a monk, staff magus, scout rogue and cleric. You're pretty melee heavy and don't have a true arcane caster. If we were to add - what would you want to see? And would any of you have a player you'd like to invite, rather than opening up recruitment for one PC.

I dig CoT, too - I've heard the second book is one of the best ever.

backgrounds

Meh, I'm ok running it with just the four of us.

I can tweak my cleric. Swap my god from Gorum to Erastil to get long bow proficiency and be the token range guy.

I also like that we will have to play a little more conservatively with just 4 players and not just be able to power through our mistakes.

Few players also means quicker gameplay.

CoT sounds great. I agree with Ogrim about size.

I am totally willing to become a pure arcane caster, I've been wanting to play a classic illusionist for a while. I could keep Vigan's backstory tweaked just a little.
