"Oswin, I'm sure that you must remember that the whole south of the city was embroiled in flames, yes? Considering we were able to hear them from outside our in, all the rioting even as northward as we were, the riots must have touched half the city," The gambler gave him a gentle reminder, wondering how he could forget considering he'd stayed awake all that time. "This is the High Inquisitor - any job she gives us is an investigation, not a witch hunt."
Sam adjusts her postion from her seat, looking at the inquisitor. "This job seems easy enough. You'll understand if I have a few questions?" She asks. "For example, the exact compensation we are to be awarded in doing our civic duty," The gunslinger inquires. "I do assume that by you wanting to know more than nothing that we will also be going to the Dregs with no idea where to start?"
Once Sam's questions and everyone else's are answered, she'll head to the Dregs immediately to start gathering information on the riots.

And that's a major failure.
Kisako the Blade
Kisako muses to himself, touching his hairless chin as he does so. "Investigation...witch hunt...same thing, no? Any dangers involved that you know about that we do not? Surely adventurers are not needed for a simple errand, yes?"

"The easiest assumption we can make at this point is that the riots are tied to the High Cardinal's murder," Zelda says, adjusting her glasses. "We get many new arrivals in Coldglass everyday. Most settle in the Dregs unless they have means to be elsewhere. I'm not asking for you to engage any responsible party or parties, but I'd like to know the players in this little game. I'm sorry I don't know more than that. As for your compensation, I shall tailor it to your specific needs. I have people looking into you, ever since Keith made his recommendation. One cannot be careful, especially given that we are all just strangers to each other."
Cyean
Cyean listens as they were told about the job as well as what Zelda had to say to the group as a whole. He simply shrugs when she spoke of people looking into them, figuring that this was normal in this town along with some of the other things he had seen recently.
Will do the Same as Sam.

"Coin is always appropriate for my needs, High Inquisitor," Sam informed her, adjusting the scarf around her neck again. Sam Jakobs would show up in the records as a gambler, a gun for hire, a smooth talking young man with a baby face. It was more worrisome if the Inquisitor made a connection with that other Sam.
"Well, if that's all, we'll be headed off now. Should we manage to acquire your information, we'll inform you in the manner to which you are accustomed," The gunslinger states, standing up. "Good day, High Inquisitor."
As soon as Sam leaves, she heads straight to the Dregs to start her investigation - mostly by finding card games where she could chat up newcomers in a casual manner.
Kisako the Blade
Kisako follows behind Sam, stopping to chit-chat amiably with people he sees and thinks are popular - in other words, people that look like they know things.

"The New Dawn, huh..." Sam comments, leaning up against a wall as everyone relayed what they'd learned. The gunslinger mulled everything over in her head, glancing at the others. "So, approaching as group would be a mite suspicious. Let's mingle among the crowd separately. Separately means separately, Oswin," She emphasizes to the barbarian protector.
"We'll take a listen, and if anybody happens to find an opportunity to approach them and ask a few questions on the down low, feel free to check your bet," The gunslinger states, pushing off and heading there. "But by Sarenae's merciful blade, don't ask, don't suggest, don't even allude to the premise that they might have been involved in last night's fiasco. You'll scare them off faster than a jumpy gnome who's been dealt pocket aces."
