"Dead-Eye be with you, my son, and may you find work of more noble purpose in the future," Ethan says to the tielfling as he runs past.
From the other side of the cloud Ethan swears he can hear Arrian snickering over that brutal farewell/career advice...

Since people called for a rotten egg flavored song
charge of the dead men by radio tapok featuring Sabaton
There a thunder in the north
Deskaris hordes charge forth
Drunken the bug is on war
thinks his hordes will conquer far
The foes did unleash their gas
charges us as a swarming mass
but then they saw in pain
that our dead rise again
They all retch
in the stench
but they do charge forth
Sarkoris, death bodies high
to the charge and then to die
we charge with held breath
and will defeat even death
Alicas song switches to Abyssal, and becomes harder as battle is joined, although it is perhaps odd to hear an anti demon war song in the very language of the demons.
Assuming I get an AoO
AoO non lethal bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
damage non lethal: 1d6 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 4 = 9
concealment high is good: 1d100 ⇒ 32
As the tiefling tries to runs past her, Alicia seeks to subdue him with what amounts to more of a headbut then a bite.
lay on hands on the dying tiefling: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 5) + 1 = 8
She then seeks to heal the other tiefling struck down by Juriya
Stay down, you are my prisoner She states matter of factly should his eyes open.
fort save: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
I like runes
The tiefling gets bit, but is able to run away. Afterwards, she heals the other one, who wakes up and is very dizzy.
The wizard, on the other hand, crawls out of the grease and gets up. Habe steps next to him and decides to try and stab Ano.
Habe @Ano: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 111d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
However, he's too scared to do anything.
Everyone's up (sorry Ano)
Juriya Arima
Wait does Ano threaten squares?
.Arrian
Wait does Ano threaten squares?
That's why I was hoping the Grease would've been placed one square further north than it is to protect Ano and funnel those two towards Arrian. Now Arrian and his 0 Acrobatics check is blocked from getting to the wizard and Habe.
"Doni can you move or get rid of that grease please?"
Ano Clovermark
The poor catfolk can only lean against the wall and try to keep herself from throwing up all over the floor.
Juriya Arima
"Why did I put off learning the bomb admixture... Ano, mind moving?" Juriya sighs.
I'll probably have a post up later. If Ano moves out of the way, Juriya will bomb Habe. If not, grid intersection to avoid getting Ano with the splash damage. Man, I could use that Alchemist level about now.
Ano Clovermark
Ano will move a little bit out of the way, one arm grasping her stomach.
5 ft move away to give Juriya some room
.Arrian
Ano will move a little bit out of the way, one arm grasping her stomach.
5 ft move away to give Juriya some room
Ano has a single move action which, with Haste, means she could move 70' - if she wants to get away from the bad guys until the nausea passes.
Ano Clovermark
Oh yeah I forgot haste doubles your speed-can I do that GM?
Ano Clovermark
Wait crap. Ano will instead move to the right towards the wall to give Juriya her room to throw bombs
Juriya Arima
Assuming Ano moves.
Juriya hurls a bomb at Habe
Attack v. Touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage (Fire): 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4) = 12
Donimah Southlander
Donimah stands aside to let the tiefling pass, then waves her hand and the grease seems to be absorbed by the floor. In but a moment, it's dry and clean.
"I should listen to your advice more, Arrian," she says with a sigh. "You've become a sharp tactician over the course of our time together."
Then she takes a deep breath and steps into the cloud.
Fortitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Going to wait and see whether I saved against the cloud or not.
Juriya Arima
Three. Next level it'll be 7, but for now it's just the number of sneak attack dice.
.Arrian
@GM: Arrian had a 22 Knowledge (Local) on the previous page to identify the wizard if he's a humanoid. Was that sufficient? Arrian needs the ID for Bane purposes. If the wizard is something else just let me know which Knowledge to roll. It's a swift to change Bane from undead to whatever the wizard is.
Arrian moves over the now-dry area and confronts the wizard.
Attack modifiers:
Masterwork Falchion: +1 to hit
Justice (Judgement): +2 sacred bonus to hit
Bane (Undead): +2 to hit, +2+2d6 to damage
Power Attack: -2 to hit for +6 to damage
Furious Focus: Negates Power Attack penalty on first attack
Haste: +1 to hit, +1 AC, +1 Reflex save, one additional attack with full attack
Bless: +1 morale bonus to hit
MW Falchion: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 192d4 + 4 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 + 2 + (1, 1) + 6 = 18

The wizard's magic makes him so confusing that Arrian actually attacks the air. However, Juriya hits him straight in the face with a bomb.
Waiting on Alicia and Ethan

fort save: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 2 = 17 extra +2 from her angelic bond, its not as +3 because it doesnt stack with her cloak of resistance
Man, Paladin saves lol
Alica moves next to Arrian, looks at her noodlearmed and limwristed opponents and promptly opts to grapple the creepier wizard
grapple no improved grapple: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Assuming this grapples him, he does get an AoO if he has a weapon out, but assuming he is evil I got 24 AC, so good luck hitting that in melee Mr Wizard
miss chance high is good: 1d100 ⇒ 52

She alas grapples the air, but the wizard now has only one image left.
You plans are foiled, submit and save your lives, do you really think you can deal with a Paladin in melee?

"You are delaying the inevitable," Ethan says calmly. "End your spells and surrender. You know what you've been doing is wrong. End this now."

Just making sure so his Bane will be vs. humanoid (human) which means Dr. Habe will have to deal with it too.

Alicia takes 11 negative energy damage and make Fort save DC 15 for 2 str damage. Ano take 2 piercing damage.

.Arrian
Arrian, under the effect of Donimah's haste spell, takes two swings at the wizard:
Attack modifiers:
Masterwork Falchion: +1 to hit
Justice (Judgement): +2 sacred bonus to hit
Bane (Undead): +2 to hit, +2+2d6 to damage
Power Attack: -2 to hit for +6 to damage
Furious Focus: Negates Power Attack penalty on first attack
Haste: +1 to hit, +1 AC, +1 Reflex save, one additional attack with full attack
Bless: +1 morale bonus to hit
(Ferocious Loyalty doesn't come into play since it's also a morale bonus.)
MW Falchion: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 332d4 + 4 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 + 2 + (5, 5) + 6 = 27
MW Falchion: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 252d4 + 4 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 + 2 + (1, 1) + 6 = 20
Possible Crit on 1st attack:
MW Falchion: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 302d4 + 4 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 + 2 + 6 = 17

Seriously, touch of tickling fatigue or whatever that was is not going to cut it, surrender, this is your last warning.
Juriya Arima
Juriya hurls another bomb at Habe, since the wizard presumably has all sorts of ethereal protections up that would deflect her bombs, in addition to whatever happened to Arrian.

The GM wrote that everyone is up so Alicia can try to grapple the wizard again or something else. :)
Donimah Southlander
Donimah coughs and retches as she passes through the cloud.
"Try *cough* try to take them *cough* alive..." she manages.
"Inte*cough*intero*cough*gation..."
Nauseated rounds: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
She begins vomiting on the floor.
Juriya Arima
"Switching up primary target to keep them alive but burned." she gasps when she realizes Arrian is right by the wizard though. "S@%!!"
Ethan Sower
Ethan stands on the stair, ready to call upon Erastil's aid, either to heal or to prevent the doctor and wizard from escaping.
Ano Clovermark
Ano is still throwing up, trying not to curl up on the floor; she looks more miserable with every moment passing.
"Alicia"
Feeling cocky, Alicia got for a battle of the heads, so to speak, ramming her fanged head twice into the wizard.

Arrian does a swing so clean with his big sword that it immediately slices the wizard's head off. The stinky cloud dissipates immediately as does his protective magic. There is a brief silence as the severed head spins around the air and falls on the ground with a wet thud.
Remind me never to cross Arrian irl
Doctor Habe, seeing this scene, drops immediately to his knees and starts blabbering "Please please spare me, Caizarlu forced me to participate in his experiments, I had nothing to do with this, please please!"
Juriya Arima
Juriya gleans over Habe, analyzing every minute facial detail with a glare that betrays no emotions, only cold analysis, to determine if Habe is lying. Granted, she is a bit distracted, but she tries her best.
SM: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
Ethan Sower
Once the cloud has cleared, Ethan enters the room. Seeing Ano vomiting, he approaches her, and calls upon Erastil to alleviate her sickness.
(Casting Lesser Restoration to reduced nauseated to sickened, and then uses her Calming Touch domain power to remove the sickened condition.)
"May the Stagfather soothe your stomach," he says to her as he channels divine power.
Ano Clovermark
Ano gasps as she feels the nausea leave, finally being able to breathe. She shakingly gets up. “Thank you…Ethan…thank you…”

Alicia secures him, and then channels positive energy to heal the living

Ethan attempts to hasten Donimah's recovery by treating her nausea, and using his power to remove her sickened condition.
Heal Check to reduce nausea: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
(Calming Touch domain power.)
Ethan Sower
Once Ano and Donimah are taken care of, Ethan goes upstairs to assist Alicia with Grayst.
He calls upon Erastil to delay the inevitable.
"Dead-Eye preserve what remains of his soul."
(Casts Delay Disease to pause the transition.)
"Erastil's blessing may grant him another day, at best," Ethan says somberly. "I can try again in the morning to treat him, but his chances aren't good."
"Alicia"
I believe he is in need of at least lesser restoration spells yes? Mr. Ethan?
If we can get him through the night, I can beseech Lady Kelinahat for such assistance, it should be within my power
She pauses
Lesser restoration is a level 1 Paladin spell not prepped though
It maybe worth the effort even from a perspective of strict utilitarianism, if that "Lord" communicates through him, and we return him to health and sanity, it is likely that Mr. Grayst will know a fair bit, besides, wresting a soul from such depths is... of impact, I truely believe that to be the case.
With that being said, we have Mr. Habe and one tiefling as prisoners, let us secure them and interview them seperately. As well as conducting a thorough search of the premises.
She pauses again
Hmmm, assuming we suceed in stabiliting Mr. Graysts condition, and that Lord is capable of communicating with him, then this lord can likely monitor his status. And may react if Mr. Grayst does not as a matter of fact *join his pack*. Plausibly by attacking this place.
Which maybe great, I would prefer to fights ghouls with as few civilians around as possible, and this place is defensible.
As such as there three possible tasks? Interrogation of our prisoners, invistigation of the complex, and finally its fortification? I believe to be best suited for interviewing our prisoners, but I can certainly assist with fortifying the compound, as long as someone tells me were to apply my strength.
.Arrian
Apologies to all but Arrian wasn't in the mood to keep the dangerous wizard alive. Although I think he did so much damage that, even if it would've been nonlethal, it might have still killed the wizard. That crit was a monster shot.
Arrian briefly glowers at Habe, "You see what I did to the zombies and Caizarlu. Don't you dare get away or try to hurt anyone."
To Ano and Juriya, "Please get him upstairs. I need to help with Grayst."
Joining Ethan and Alicia he says, "I might have the magic required but it takes time. Hopefully it will help. As far as communicating and control I'll see what I can remember."
@Ethan: If Ethan could roll his Knowledge (Religion) and Heal it would be great. Arrian is certainly not as good at Heal as Ethan.
@GM: Lesser Restoration has a 3 round casting time and it only cures "temporary ability damage" but it does *NOT* cure "permanent ability drain." I suspect it would be a Knowledge (Religion) check to determine what kind of damage Grayst has to his stat(s). I'll add in a Heal check aid to Ethan's check and you'd need to tell me what Knowledge would cover the communication/control aspect of the 'Lord' and Grayst.
Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Heal Aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Donimah Southlander
Donimah breathes a sigh of relief as the nausea abates.
"Thank the Stagfather and thank YOU, Ethan," she says as she cleans her robes with her magic and follows the others up.
"Come on, Doctor. We have questions about those experiments."
I like runes
@Ethan: I'll need a caster level check for delay disease.
You know that ghoul fever attacks both dexterity and constitution. You also know that Lesser Restoration won't help against the disease. Also, Restoration could help him physically, but nothing short of Heal or Greater Restoration will help restore his maddened mind.
